Celsior - What Is This? O2 Sensor?

Hi, my dad's LS400 (actually import Toyota Celsior) had these things sticking in the exhaust but I have no idea what they are. They are on both sides, near the O2 sensor which looks the same as on my LS400 but the LS400 doesn't have these things, must be Celsior specific. Both have popped out.

Any ideas?

as a guess I would say they are exhaust gas temperature sensors - do they have electrical connectors/wiring on the end?

Thanks, yes there is a wire going to it. Sorry the photo is dreadful!

I concur :) Always wanted to say that after watching that film "Catch me if you can" probably spelt it wrong though.

Thanks again. My dad called Toyota and they want £417+VAT each... crazy stuff! Looks like that will be getting patched up some other way... the car only cost him around £600, which is actually amazing value as he's had it for quite some time and it's hardly needed any work done. Although that's hardly going to come as a surprise to you fellow LS owners!!
