Hi everybody from a hopefully almost- a GS300 owner.

I'm going to look at a 2007 GS300 tomorrow. 90k miles with full Lexus history.

One of the pictures of the car on Autotrader shows the touch screen with the reverse camera activated. It just has a red line the two crossed green lines - looking like an X. Every car I've driven with a reverse camera so far usually has lines showing the track of the car. A crossed line would suggest the wheels going in the opposite direction to each other! I'm probably missing something obvious or there is a defect.

Enlightenment very much welcome.

Thanks.

Ian

You can change the image, from just the red line to the red

line and the crosses, iam not sure on a 2007 car but on a later year car you
can also show yellow line that will move with the steering to show you a predictive
path of the car.

To be honest I haven’t got a clue. lol

I have tried to scan the relevant page from my manual but

for some reason it wont let me load it onto the site.

Its something to do with parking between two cars as in a
car park, you line one of the lines up with one of the parked cars and turn the
steering on full lock and the car should end up in the space, hopefully your
get a manual with your car and you can have a look for a better expiation.

the static crossed lines show the vehicle trajectory if you apply full lock, two lines as you can steer in both directions and the vehicle doesn't know which way you want to go.

As you reverse into a parking space you line it all up and then apply full lock.
