Ipod Or Other Media Jukebox Options

I have just bought an 56 LS460. I would like to add media jukebox functionality/

Has anyone done this? Should I buy an ipod classic and an eBay ipod adapter ? Or go some other route? Are they easy to install?

Hello. I thought that the LS460 and the LS600h audio systems allowed you to either plug an iPod / Iphone into it as standard or that you could play music via the Bluetooth.

There are plenty of companies out there who will provide aftermarket solutions to allow this sort of integration.

Do a search on here for iVIC via tech , I've a 600 and bought and fitted one of these (only currently available via the states ) it lets you use your iPhone/android phone via touch screen and steering wheel controls for GPS/phonebook/weather/and music , thes vids on YouTube .....

priced at nearly $400 plus shipping etc think it worked out to be around £260 or there abouts.....

Wires into back of Emv screen, but easy enough to do then ive my cables and ivic box leading into centre armrest compartment......

If you go for this give me a shout and I'll give you a walk thru of taking Emv screen out etc etc can be tricky if not any knowledge as a few hidden screws/bolts to undo..but it's a easy job (I'm saying that now lol)as I've done it but was sweating doing it first time as didn't want to damage anything but no seriously it's a easy job may take 30mins or so from start to finish

Ps The is a iPod / phone plug, in centre arm rest, but you can't use steering wheel controls to change tracks or albums hence I went for the above technology plus ivic you get the album pics up on screen.

One day I'll take a vid or pics n show yous lol

I saw the IVIC thing, only issue I suppose is that I use windows phone.

Do you use the GPS on your phone? Obviously the built-in satnav on the early LSes is a bit inadequate.

No haven't used the GPS on the ivic and haven't even used the sat nav in the LS either lol

I've just bought one of these for my 2008 GS450h. I've yet to test it.
