Smashed Wing Mirror On 05 Rx300

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

A very nice man in a van decided to smash into my passenger wing mirror yesterday. The mirror and black Fran are completely ruined and I thought that the mount was okay but noticed a crack in it today. The unit still opens and closes but the inner mirror movement is wonky

As a new Lexus owner does anyone know what Lexus might charge for this and has anyone had one repaired outside of Lexus and how much did I it cost? Just want to know as I know in other luxury brands its never cheap.

Thanks

Michael

A complete mirror unit will set you back around £460.00 to £490.00 for the Luxury Package Memory version but they do come colour coded, plus fitting of course.

I assume the van driver stopped and exchanged insurance details?

If you had a dash cam fitted, you would have it all recorded, ready to hand over to the police!!

Have to agree with this, there are so many knobheads on the road driving without a care in the world I believe a dashcam is an essential fitment nowadays.

Sorry to hear your predicament, all to often this happens and how many times will they stop? Exactly!
