Ls400 - Official Labour Time For Timing Belt/waterpump

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what a Lexus dealer quotes for timing belt/waterpump/idlers replacement in terms of labour hours?

Also, if I'm getting the waterpump changed at the same time will I need to get 10 litres of toyota coolant?

I just don't want to be ripped off since I have always owned chain driven engines in the past.

hi

lexus coventry charge £290 for the belt change - waterpump is £100 extra

if you are getting it done from an independant make sure they have done one before - its major surgery and requires alot of dismantling of the front engine.

sorry cant give you an answer to your specific question but im sure someone will be along soon to give you that information.

I confirm that figure - I'm having my belt done at Lexus Bristol next week for their standard fee of £295. They'll check the pump and tell me. Hope I don't need to spend the extra £100 but it may be good thinking.
