  1. I have a new 2013 RX 450H & cannot get the online search in Navigation to work with my HTC One X Android phone. Has anyone else succeeded? In the car I have set up my country & phone provider and selected Google as my search engine and have set up a My Lexus account but have the following problems: 1. Even though I have entered & saved my My Lexus user name and password in Setup the system will not remember the password & I have to enter it each time. 2. Online search worked twice but now will not. System says Internet connection failed. I have checked the Bluetooth set up and Dial Up Networking (DUN) is not greyed out. Phone calls and SMS messaging al work fine with the phone. Any advice welcome. Regards Paul

  2. Just joined the forum, thought I'd say hello. Bought this exactly a year ago. Bought on ~65k, put quite a few miles on it so far - almost 20k I think, and absolutely love it. Dark green SE model, black and tan half leather interior. I got hold of the altezza grille from gumtree for a bargain price, have this on most of the time - it looks a bit classier than the UK spec three bar black grille in my opinion, and Ive never seen another car with it on around here. Also change the gearknob over occasionally, Ive got a selection of aftermarket ones from previous modified cars ive owned. Doubt I will do any major changes to this though, but who knows :) Changed the numberplates today (back one was delaminating and got an advisory on the MOT) and Ive currently got a lambda sensor heat circuit code - waiting for a direct Denso replacement to come in this week hopefully this will sort it! I also bought a spare airbox which I drilled and was running a K&N panel in - sounded really nice but I put it back to stock when the code came up just in case. If everything returns to normal after the sensor swap and code clear than I'll put the drilled box back on :) Bit about me - I'm an automotive design engineer based in Essex. Owned a modified vw for about 5 years which i learnt a lot on. Rebuilt the engine in my uni living room with a friend, not many original or stock parts on it by the time I sold it! Owned a Toyota Corolla before the Lexus, so a bit of experience on the brand. Not sure if there are any meets down here in Essex? Thanks!

  3. So I go out this morning and It seems someone has kindly reversed into the back of my Lexus. Loads of space where I live so how they managed it I don't know.. annoyed is an understatement. Not much damage to see but on the rear bumper where they've hit it it looks a little dull in paint kinda like a white patch but very faint, you cant see it unless you look up close and on the same patch it seems to have crackled, well that's the best way I can describe it. Any ideas how to get the dullness away... It may only be small but it's so annoying when the car looks as good as it does. Cheers guys...

  4. it is the polish that gives you the wet look and the wax then protects it. I would go with Meguiars prep and polish, possible stage 1 & 2 or stage 1 and then ultimate polish.

  6. Oh right I didn't know that... When I bought mine it only had 3 months test on it but the seller told me he'd put a fresh MOT on it. But he called to say what I just told you and I believed him lol. Oh well it still past the test :) To be honest if I were you I'd MOT in in January. I'm sure Lexus Cardiff did ask you to have the MOT early, more money for them isn't it lol I'm good thanks mate, only working 3-4 days a week at the mo which is nice :) Have you finished the nursery yet? Lol..

  7. You can only put your car in for an MOT 6 weeks before it expires Stuart. There will be a date on your current MOT certificate saying something like:- The earliest you can present your vehicle for inspection is (date)

  9. Yeah Matt head unit is easy and the same as the is300 so a direct switch yours for theirs would be very straight forward to change not seen many cut jobs as you still need to bypass the amp and the leads are very easy to pic up on ebay. If you buy the 300 giz a message and I will be happy to give you some advice on removal. Don't forget only bad point i see of having a 300 is parts engine only as everything else is pretty much the same but I guess engine parts can be very rare is200 parts are so easy to get. As for this keep moving back to 300 better then 200 I think both cars have their charm and I love them both I mean come on its only really the engine and auto bar that they are like twins well a bit like the movie twins ones way more powerful and the little fella is fun and not on steroids. I found the 300 very fun to drive and do envy the power but I guess that's what superchargers are for. Cheers Dave
