  1. Mine has retrofit HIDs and has passed its MOT with them for the last 4 years since fitting them, beams needed adjusting on 1st test after fitting but that has been it.

  2. I virtually live in the South of France and the advice re the headlights is correct - no adjustment needed, but the breathaliser is no longer required as the law was rescinded in March. If you still want one, do NOT buy one on the ferry at £5.99 but at the first Carrefour Supermarket you see for 1. Bon Voyage!

  3. William how very dare you. As I am organising it then I will also write the rules and the first rule is I go 1st, you can be first after me William so I have bought you up by one place. More rules to follow when and if others try and pinch my 1st place. Mike.

  4. Mike as you have started it, you must take responsibility and organize it, which will mean, I with number 2 , will actually go first.

  5. Thanks for all the comments guys.As William says, the prices are coming down all the time, never say never. I bought my first Lexus, A 95reg MK3 400, about 12 years ago, not a lot of money and it's taken me all that time and a further 3, a 99reg MK4 400, a 06reg 430, and a 07reg 460 to get to this level.I'm just an ordinary working bloke, the rich fella was the 1 owner whose depreciation was over £65k in 5 years. The table my Ted is sitting on (Ellis is his name,(Ellis 600, get it)folds down into the centre console,4th pic. He resides in the rear window normally and only comes out for photo shoots. Driving is very similar to the 460. I expected the acceleration would not be as quick as the 600 weighs 2 ton but if you put your foot down, she really goes. Had DAB radio fitted last week, the sound quality is superb, and with the car running on the batteries it really is good listening. Managed to make the 1st Plank & Leggit meet but couldn't make the last one. Will try to make the next and if anyone fancies a drive, they're more than welcome. Rear controls; 2 remotes, 1 for DVD (stand alone DVD player above the fridge between the seats) the other for the massaging seat. The rest of the knobs and switches are pretty much the same as the 430/460. Rear blinds, radio, climate control, reclining ottoman seat with the switches to forward and tilt the front passenger seat, heated/cooled seats, and things I'm still discovering. Graham.

  6. Is the Nav worth it in your opinion? My main reason for wanting a car with it is that IMHO it makes the interior of the car a bit nicer. The non-nav versions aren't particularly attractive to look at - but it's not a deal breaker. Leather on the other hand is a must!
