  1. Filled the machine up with Shell Optimax as recommended by TDi today...cost £50 for a tank full (warning light on) Pulled away and it felt like it had had the ECU chipped or something whilst I was paying for the petrol well worth the extra 4p a litre
  2. I suggest you write a nice letter to Lexus GB......saying how much you like the car/brand etc....slip in a but.........then ask them about replacing your alloys.........you could (in letter 2) even offer to pay a small contribution.... You may get lucky failing that Chris's look a good buy

  4. Andy - Thanks for that :) Mine is quite co**** first thing in the morning but wears off after a few minutes. May remove strut brace then.... Is it easy ? I would think I make sure wheels are straight and just undo the bolts holding it on then replace n tighten Mmmmmm looks like a job for saturday Its bloody quick though still can't believe the change in the car :hocus-pokus:

Lowering it has made it soooo much taughter.... Summer will bring the Racelogic thingy if funds permit On Autobahns....am driving to Romania next summer so will get my chance then.....also the roads in Romania are arrow straight and fairly empty may struggle to get Optimax petrol tho :(

  12. I think you can de-cat the front down pipe
  13. will be picking it up this evening got to take it back to get the TDi induction kit fitted as Mark didnt have all the bits (my fault was an impulse buy ) Thinking about it that will be a good thing as I'll be able to compare the two (without induction kit & with) which may help those dithering over the purchase to take the plunge... just out to rob the local post office

  19. I'm a consultant with no fixed place of work and as a result can claim my travelling expenses (petrol, train fares) back against my income tax liability( not to my work HQ) In effect they will pay you 25/40% (depends on what % tax u pay) of either 45p a mile or your train fare. I've just got £1600 back for 18 months with another £1000 due for 2002/3. Even if you get paid mileage (i get an enormous 25p a mile for travel outside the M25 !) they will pay you 25/40% of the difference or offset that against the profit element. So give it a go ! any queries PM me...........everyone in the company I work for has claimed this & been successful Its helping pay for my supercharger
