  1. Post to Dave Ellen of Prolex: I have to say that I am disappointed to have my focus diverted away from an important project to deal with this utter garbage in your little playground. The fact that you have chosen to engage in Adies thread at a time that you are embroiled in litigation with him is unsympathetic and unwise at best, and completely outrageous at worst. Like a true Gentlemen, Adie has refrained from making any comments about you or Prolex until the outcome of the court hearing. It is my experience that facts, logic and fairness are concepts that do not seem to trouble to your thought processes very often, and your comments: "detonation, detonanation", and "what caused the blow up.............would wager car got too hot in dyno room so took it out to map on the road.....got it wrong and bang she goes..." are clear evidence that your views are based on belief (or hope) rather than fact. I have very clear views on people that rely on "belief" but will share that with you at a later time. I am sorry to ruin your fun by intruducing the following facts for your consideration: 1. Our dyno cell and cooling facilities are among the best available anywhere in the UK. 2. The data logging chart clearly shows the air and coolant temperatures to be normal. 3. There is absolutely no evidence of even the remotest hint of detonation on any of the pistons or on the cylinder head. 4. I advised Adie to instruct an Independant Engineer to evaluate the work that was done elsewhere and by oursleves. The Engineer has more qualifications that you have chips on your shoulder and will be providing Adie with a report next week. We have made a preliminary report for Adie but this is a sensitive issue so will let him decide whether he wants to share it with anyone here. Regarding your quote "what caused the blow up.............would wager car got too hot in dyno room so took it out to map on the road.....got it wrong and bang she goes..", I will take you up on your wager please. I will put up any figure you suggest (up to £1m), your house deeds against my house deeds, or the shares of TDi against the shares of Prolex. This is the critical path: 1. You suggest the stakes 2. A legally binding contract is drawn up and funds availability is validated. 3. We both place the stakes in a secure ESCROW account at the offices of your Lawyer. 4. You can either accept the evaluation of Adies Engineer or you can appoint your own. Please let me know about the above urgently because we want to start rebuilding the engine next week. Finally, I have to say that your constant childish negativity towards TDi and our clients indicate a psychological fixation disorder, which I think you should seek professional help for.
  2. Sorry about the delay Here's Daves engine after the rebuild Heres Daves new oil cooler and auto transmission cooler:

  5. I understand he has turned the matter over to Trading Standards.
  6. Dave has asked me to post up some pics (I have finally found someone less computer literate than myself on LOC :D ), so I will do as soon as I can. I'm currently woking flat out on 2 big projects so please bear with me because there will be a delay Thanks :)
  7. Hi Jamie, The differences are to do with the construction material. Please email me at mark@tdi-plc.com Thanks :)
  8. Regarding the transmission, it's the torque that's the issue - not really the power :)

Hi, We just finished developing a system last week. It will be available to purchase on our web site shortly :)
  10. I think the phraseology needs a little work, as does a focus on the core strategy of the site. Perhaps it would be better if you accentuated the benefits that your company can provide to prospective clients? How about some case studies of the clients you currently have, for example a description of their problem, your solution and the resultant benefits to them. If your clients are mainly corporate, you have to consider and appeal to their priorities, which are normally minimum down times, cost effectiveness, speed of reaction and dependability. They say the best books (and web sites) are written many times before the authors are happy with them. Good luck with it, and I hope this helps a little :)
  11. We have an HKS SPF in stock which is £182.13 inc vat Is that an enclosed filter? Do you sell a replacment panel filter too (i saw a blitz one on your site) We offer, HKS, K&N and Blitz :)
  12. I suggest you have it checked by another garage before you attempt to use it for a long run. If the engine has overheated it is more likely to have suffered piston damage tha bearing damage. Good luck :)
  13. Good luck with it. As you are using nitrous, it may be worth considering doing it in a way similar to what we did here which is very effective.
  14. It does look awesome now Adie - well done mate. We still need to have a chat about your air filtration arrangement though. We gained another 40hp on a race Civic last week by removing what you currently have fitted ;).
  15. This situation is absolutely disgusting. It is nothing short of theft IMHO. We get taxed on everything we earn, spend and save. What little is left over after having paid the tax should be yours to keep and to pass on to your descendants or give to the dogs home. This tax was originally designed for the very wealthy but of course because they did not index link the threshold, almost everyone will fall victim. There is no doubt in my mind that the Govt and perhaps some other misguided people will argue that if they didn't get the revenue from IHT they would get it from us by another means. I don't accept this as I believe that a more efficient Govt with more sensible policies and decent house keeping skills would save us a fortune. The money that this Govt waste is absolutely staggering
  16. It's unlikely to be functional after 6pm because we'll be putting hats and coats on by then :) Two guys were working until 1.30am yesterday morning to help our client get to a rally in Ireland this weekend. Coffee and matchsticks were provided :)
  17. I'm sure we have it here Rob. Email me at mark@tdi-plc.com and I will mail it back to you.
  18. Have a look here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Parental_controls Thank you very much Sagitar :D
  19. It's not looking good. Young Harry (7 years old) likes to play on line games, but yesterday he was playing a game with my 6 year old Niece when he innocently clicked on a link for naked ladies etc. Harry was grassed up by the Niece to her Mum who called to give Mrs Mark an earful at 9.30pm last night. Words were had, and me finding it most amusing didn't help the situation. The upshot of it is that I have been delegated to find a solution for parental controls of Firefox. Sadly my IT skills are around the same level as my Brain Surgery skills so there is little hope of me working it out for myself. Can anyone help please?
  20. Hi lexusIT Unfortunately we have to charge vat at 17.5% when sold within the EC. We can sell them to a company that has it's own vat number, in which case you do not pay vat in the UK. Please let me know if I can be of any more help. Thanks Mark :)
  21. If you can suffer the auto transmission, the Jaguar XKR is a worthy contender.
