  1. TDI will donate a £100 gift voucher to be used against parts or labour at TDI
  2. ....who will be making the tea ?? Tonys Charlotte
  3. Unfortunately I have been asked to go to Cyprus at short notice (tomorrow ) and won't be back until Saturday evening, so it looks like I'll be missing all the fun again (story of my life ). I hope to see you all at JAE :)
  4. I think the main point about some of the older FCON's not being able to be remapped in the UK is due to the lack of software and dongle keys. We can do most of the FCON models. Provided that the above are available, it is possible to unlock them (without the security code) but it clears the previously stored calibration data. To answer the original question - pulling the fuse will not compromise the stored data :)
  5. I assume it's still ok for the work you are doing on my car Mark? :winky: Yes, we have a dedicated Tech on standby with tools at the ready and tongue hanging out B)
  6. Nice car Saracen :) I fancy one of those myself. The first mod would have to be new wheels - really don't like the standard wheels at all - seems to spoil what is otherwise a fabulous car :)
  7. Excellent, you should be fine then. Please promise me you won't use Scotchlocks My email address is mark@tdi-plc.com :)
  8. Oh I see. These aren't really designed to be DIY fitted so I hope it goes well for you. We've seen even "professionally" fitted systems be badly fitted before :( Send me an email and I'll dig out a dat file for you to help you on way :)
  9. They normally come with a dedicated wide band lamda sensor that needs to be installed in the exhaust system.
  10. You should be able to get full technical support from your Vendor Stav. If the vendor is incapable of helping you they shouldn't be selling them. Send me an email if you get stuck mate :)
  11. Just a slight correction if I may please Aido The standard is200 TC doesn't cut the fuel, it closes the throttle. You're absolutely right though - I've always said the standard TC can be dangerous and that the RL TC is phenominal :D
  12. I think it depends on the intended purpose. If you want something that can used as a serious diagnostic or calibration tool, this is probably not for you. Should be fine as an ornament of conversation piece tho ;) Innovate make a similar but better product :)
  13. No offence meant , I just found this very funny: As many are aware, the French government recently announced a raise in its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The normal level is "General Arrogance", and the only two higher levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country's military capability. It's not only the French that are on a heightened level of alert: Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing". Two more levels remain, "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides". The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdain" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs". They have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose". Seeing this reaction in continental Europe, the Americans have gone from "Isolationism" to "Find Another Oil-Rich Nation For Regime Change". Their remaining higher alert states are "Attack Random Countries (Ideally Those Without Any Credible Military)" and "Beg The British For Help". The British are also feeling the pinch in relation to recent bombing threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance". The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the Great Fire of London in 1666
  14. It is a problem for the cost or for the logistic? Because if is it a problem of costs we can talk about it, if it is a problem of logistic I could organize myself the shipping... In Italy i can't find this stuff, so I MUST have from you.... Please! 35kg's isn't too heavy to send. We send and receive much heavier consignments that around the world every week. PM or email us if you don't receive satisfaction.
  15. I think only the Katana and Jun flywheels are solid. The Katana flywheel is also the lightest of any other brand (including the part aluminium variant)
  16. He said he will try but it is short notice for him (my fault - I should have told him earlier )
  17. As you're coming a long way, IF there is enough time on the day, perhaps we may be able to do any adjustments that may be necessary too. It's a big IF because the team will be overstretched on that day. I hope you understand
  18. I have just spoken to Banzai magazine. It's a bit short notice but they will try and attend this day too :)
  19. Will be good to see you Paul.
  20. Are these special purpose tanks Mat? Are there new combat tanks too (with a gun turret)?
  21. I read this on another forum - excellent news :D I only became aware of them with Urban Hymns, but from what I read in the other forum it would appear that their earlier stuff was superior? Sounds like I missed out
  22. It's probably more a case of you being conditioned to the alcholol mate. I find that when I drink regularly I can down a few, but I don't have any for a week or so, a thimble full of Leffe later and I'm anybodys Stalla = Bad - it's chemically formulated Euro Wee - can't be good for you :D Proper officially pure German and Belgian lager (if you like the lighter coloured suff) is a preferable alternative methinks
  23. You mean I have to start counting the grass ?
  24. That's fine Terry - it will be good to meet you :)
  25. im in Leeds and thought it was a little too far to travel. Does anyone know of anywhere in Yorkshire thats capable of checking/changing my settings? TDI north are aware and use the wim corrective positions for the IS200/300/SC. They are my only recommendation north. TDi-North 21 & 22 Aston Court, Kingsland Grange, Warrington, WA1 4SG Tel: 0800 0196055 Email: info@TDi-North.com What about the place in Oldham Tony ? the place Anees went to. Found it. Drury lane Oldham. http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/ind...2&hl=drury# All the "trusted centres" were dropped from the wim/web and wim/forum. Reason being wim had to police the company's abilities constantly. This proved to be a constant drain on my time. The current "approved centres" are much more advanced and comply exactly to the wim-way. So how did you "police" the "trusted centres" ? Did you rely on customer feedback ? Did you get bad feedback about them ? Or maybe random spotchecks ? I don't believe that's any of your business. Perhaps you should spend less time worrying about TDI and WIM.
