  1. Full leather seats in car ...I know this because youngest spilt his drink on it within 2-3mins of getting in car so had to turn round and get cloth and leather cleaner before it soaked in and got sticky 😝
  2. Isn't the dash clock similar to my LS600 (pic of mine ) so mph/kph already there but possible other way round ...you can change rest of function on Emv touch screen to show mph or kph so this shouldn't cause to much of a problem.....
  3. Sorry if I trod on anyone's toes.... Yes It maybe because I comparing to my LS, It could be a standard model haven't done any research on IS300h but was gob smacked when I had to manually adjust seats 😁 I apologise if I've rattled anyone's cage with my opinion 😳 Unsure what model of 300 it is but has 17" wheels and parking sensors if that helps
  4. Really....... I've a is300h as a courtesy car and am not impressed at all....very basic and small and that's coming from a slim 5'8" person Ps sorry is300h owners but this is just my personal opinion 😳
  5. LS600 picked up a hour and a half ago and now have a 64plate is300h as a courtesy car .... Oh these are so so basic compared to my car.. No electric seats there MANUAL lol can't remeber last time I had to manually adjust my seat in a car . And didn't realise how little they are We as LS drivers regardless whether it's a 400/430/460/600 are SPOILT EDIT oops posted on wrong thread ......sorry😎
  6. Jeremy that's just for the bottom half of seat and just the leather and element , so you can imagine the price for a full seat and it's workings £££££££££'s I bet if you where to buy every part needed to build your own car from nuts to frame/engine etc you'd probably be double if not triple the new screen price, Couple of years ago I nearly had to replace the inside door card for a GS450h I had and was quoted £2200 eh?!!???!!??!??! Just for the door card not any electrics.... Parts are pricey
  7. Lol unlike the lexus garage I put my car too last week who straight away presumed it was element and replaced seat leather/element (all one piece on the 600s ) at a cost of £1350 + vat (warranty job tho) and returned car to me with the same problem lol now cars going back to them on Monday for them to diagnose it CORRECTLY hopefully and sort the crinkly loose leather at same time..... All this hassle on my car could of been avoided if they checked properly.... Wish I could find out where my relays are so I could swap them around to see if I'm correct with my diagnoses
  8. Since owning my latest LS I have only once switched the heated steering wheel on just to see that it works then switched it straight off lol
  9. Don't always presume it's the element... As I have a problem on my car and had element changed last week and still isn't working right, and believe it's down to heated seat thermostats relay.... All my other seats heat up correctly ie rears and passenger and only bottom half of my seat doesn't work Correctly on driver side( bottom half starts to heat up then stops and blows cold air at me after 5mins) .... Here's hoping yours is just a relay as 26k isn't even run in yet so can't see it being wear n tear plus big coincidence that both front seats don't work.... All pointing to a relay or wiring problem... But then again is it only one relay running both seats..... I know on mine it's seperate relays...
  10. Nahhhh not a fan of to much wood Is this what you meant by "it looks fab in wood" titch LS lol
  11. ive the vaistech fitted in my 600.... Intially had a problem but all sorted now... Steering wheel controls and album art etc .... And is just a plug n play system and easily installed
  12. If Lexus put a Diesel engine into a LS they might as well take the L away and replace it with a T so it would be a TS (TRACTOR SALOON) rather than Luxury Saloon .... I'd never buy one as I hate diesels with a vengeance ...
  13. Clunkfish .....Lol so your saying because it doesn't have the fake stuck on wood effect that Lexus interior is cheap and tasteless... OMG lol My personal opinion is no it looks cheap and way out of place I had a imported SC400 limited that had this stuff on centre console when I got it...my first job was peeling this fake plastic rubbish off... But as I said that's my opinion, My wife doesn't listen to me so not expecting anyone else to either 😝
  14. Omar, I have asked for it to be recovered but as it's not a breakdown and drive able they will not entertain the idea of recovering it, I did mention that it is a extremly low mileage and minted 600 hence the reason I bought it for the price I did and wanted to keep mileage and wear and tear down to a minimum.... Intially they tried to fob me off by saying it's the seat cushion that's at fault and must of been worn and crushed before they changed the leather.... Absolute bull.... The car when I bought it was as new condition and if seat was worn I would of walked away, since owning it I have only placed 4k onto it... I'm a slim bloke ( I preferred toned lol) and weight as much as a small bag of tatties lol so not likely to be crushing the seat bolster..... The way the seat reminds me off is a much much older car with 100+++Ks on clock and as if it's been sat on by a huge fat bloke bouncing on seat.... Instead of a very loved car driven by a skinny runt lol..... I will not rest with lexus till this is sorted.... As yet I haven't been let down by LEXUS just this dealer and their so called techs and customer service is shocking.... I'm still having doubts on letting them pick it up and drive it down the road, I may be taking a road trip myself, which would be better so I can speak face to face with them and point out their failings Hugh.... I'm confused as to your comments reference the Alps disaster and grieving relatives and have no bearing on my problems with lexus.... Confused.com
  15. Just off phone with lexus, and my car will be picked up again on Monday, My courtesy car is going to be a IS300h 😣 I was hoping for a RC-F 😂😂😂😂 lol And relieved it wasn't a CT 😉😃😃😃😃 rofl
  16. No John it's owned by EASTERN WESTERN MOTOR GROUP ..... When lexus had a place in Aberdeen owned by Arnold Clarke their service and customer care was A1+++ excellent, most of the staff are now at the toyota and volvo dealerships in aberdeen, I had a issue with my GS450h 2yrs ago and took it to arnorld Clarke toyota in Aberdeen and was greeted by all the ex lexus staff I'd dealt with previously and was more than happy to let them do any work needed..... As my problem at moment is a warranty job I went straight to lexus...... Next time Ive any work needing done I'm taking it to them in Aberdeen .... Pursuit of perfection hahaha my rear end it is
  17. If car seats had looked anywhere near this when I bought her 10mths ago fo £32k I would of walked away from it as it looks used n abused and crushed ..... I am disgusted and ashamed at how it looks now..... Sorry ranting again I'm away for a chill pill
  18. Lol Rudy its smelly stuff as once in a while I have a sneaky cigarette and Mrs goes ape, hence the collection of smellys
  19. As you know my car was away for some warranty work ie heated seat not working so lexus diagnosed faulty seat element (wrong diagnoses) now believe it's a faulty heated seat thermostat relay .... and as the 600s heated element is made into the leather I recieved a new leather seat (bottom half) this came back to me with same fault AGAIN .... Look at the way they fitted the leather..... Horrendous... Seat now looks like a huge fat bloke has been bouncing on it for the past few years... I am totally disgusted with this workmanship and will be taking this to head office if not rectified 1st couple of pics are obviously the disgusting workmanship on drivers seat Next pic is how it should look like and similar to how it went to lexus intially (this is passenger seat tho but where in same condition) And last pic again of offending seat Now I hope Yous can all understand why I've been unhappy and ranting for a while
  20. 21. I'm with ESURE and only £163 PA full no claims and live in quite area plus cars garaged overnight or on a locked driveway 3pts on license (speeding in lorry) unsure on a quote for LS400 on lpg tho, but worth a chance
  22. Just been back into my car and will be asking Lexus not to valet the interior again when they've got it.... Nicely hoovered (wasn't dirty anyway) I'd cleaned car top to bottom prior to it going away intially but now looks like someone's used a dirty dish cloth to clean Emv screen dash screen and the wood panelling .... It's covered in a white residue and can see the wipe marks, Yes I'm very very pernickety but I spent time and money on excellent cleaning products to keep my car minted for them to wipe with a dirty rag so it seems..... Yep I'm a grumpy whinging toe rag when it comes to my car (Mrs just said I'm like this 24/7) My philosophy's comes under something I learned in the forces Aka the 6 Ps Planning and Preperation Prevents P155 Poor Performance , basically I hate having to do something twice when it should of been done correctly with right tools or whatever the first time round and on that note I'm off to re-clean my car Just a little info .... I use spec cleaner on my Emv screen and dash screen as this doesn't leave any residual marks I'm a perfectionish when it comes to cleaning my car, and have been known to take 2-3days if not 4 for washing drying prepping and polishing waxing car and cleaning interior but will only take a hour doing the Mrs car lol
  23. Yes I know that part of road your on about and the bridge... Just north of inverness long sloping road down towards bridge then road bends slightly to left to cross over bridge and roundabout just off other side of bridge (Cromarty bridge) the water you see there is the Cromarty firth which leads onto moray firth Looking at the map I attached I live just to the right and above ELGIN just at the mouth of the river spey... Kingston on spey 😃
  24. Welcome to club and nice to see another LS owner in scotland
  25. No chance of a speed awareness course ...it'll be a hefty fine and guareented ban and insurance after ban will be sky high Speed awareness courses are only offered if slightly over the speed limit ie 36 in a 30 or in my case 4yrs ago I was doing 46 on a single carriageway in a lorry (legally only allowed 40 for a lorry on a single carriageway) luckily I was caught South of border and offered this rather than points and fine... North of border we don't have speed awareness courses just fined and points But in this case doing over 100 is court and highly likely banned with substantial fine
