  1. from what ive heard mate, the M3 isnt doing very well at all.Dealers are auctioning cars.i couldnt believe when i heard but they are going much cheaper than expected and dealers that were looking for a premium over list, got a shock when loads and i mean loads of orders were cancelled by people that had put money down 1-2 years back and just decided to add a little extra and go porker. The new M3 can be had for about £50k with 400 miles on.its apparently an amazing drive, but as usual they have mass produced a vehicle(even more built than the e46 M3) and thats why people are loosing shed loads straight away.
  2. its 4wd so it will be awesome in the rain.
  3. amazing car and yes it claims to be a 911 turbo killer.Well that is one of the tallest claims ever made.996TT is one of he quickest moving objects in the world and the 997 is even quicker-ist being tested soon. There seems to be quite alot of hype about this car and it seems no real performance figures have been officially stated-so think it may not be as quick as the japanese are making out.think top gear magazine had em in a straight line and the nissan was slower.on the other hand there may be a lighter/more powerful variant arriving late 2008 and that is from good sources.btw its cayman s pricing, around the 45k mark and thats from middlehurst.
  4. its a good price, considering what you get-its just at that price you can have pretty much anything-so in order to really steal the customers from audi/bmw/porsche the car is going to have to appeal from a performance perspective and from an image angle too-and i think even Lexus lovers find the looks questionable. If i can pick this car up in a years time with 10k on the clock for £35k,i think id defo go for it.
  5. nice one mate, welcome, now get some pics up!!!!!
  6. nice one for clearing that up. HEATED GLASS FROM LEXUS ------ £60 HEATED GLASS FROM LEXUS WITH ANTI-GLARE ------ £170 (omg)
  7. id give yourselves more credit than that mate, you were doing it in a tight multi-storey carpark in the middle of busy cologne.
  8. Its just the mirror. The housing is intact (thankfully). I hope you are right. I'll give them a ring again tomorrow morning. I was going to look at after market wing mirrors such as the ganador ones if it really costs that much. i hope its sorted soon for you mate.Dont think Lexus can charge £150 for the glass, that would be insane.
  9. Wonder if Clarkson took the opportunity to get Lewis on the prog when Lewis presented him with his latest TV 'award'...can't remember what it was now possibly.Im surprised his agent has let him do it.I mean seeing as F1 is so controlled media wise, theyve landed a superstar.I know he has recently been quite upset about the way the media have acted with his personal life so im suprised he is doing it in general.Plus top gear will be getting more out of it,than him. Maybe Hamilton just wanted a go. MArk Webber was on a couple of series back and he contacted the show as he wanted a blast round the track. its the type of show that eveybody likes, even race car drivers. On the media subect too, i may well be wrong, but i think it maybe more Newspaper orientated where he has the problem where they poking there nose in here there and everywhere oh ok,horrible tabloid gits, cant stand them either(they are always waiting outside my house too.lol)!Im just surprised he did it tho,cos he is after all gonna be the billion dollar man.
  10. hi mate are you sure you havent been quoted for the housing?i thought the glass from lexus was £30-40.or is it your mirror housing that has broken?
  11. you guys did similar ones in Cologne, remember Paul?that was funny!!

  13. thing is mate,no one will read the codes for free, unless you know them well or are friendly with them.So as above really go to Lexus, they will probably not charge you for the code reading if they sense you will be fixing the offending part with their service department. This is why i said initially if there is anyone friendly, its always easier, plus once you have the code, you can judge if its a huge expense or cheap to replace/fix.good luck both of you. BTW flashing TRC could be failed coils(but it could also be something more sinister)
  14. could be one of many things wrong. You really need to get to a garage to get the fault codes read.once you have them diagnosis shouldnt be an issue.Try and take it to a friendly garage, are there any around you?
  15. AFAIK lexus centres, dont sell parts individually.the wing mirror part costs £288, thats for everything.I suspect this is a money making exercise, but cant rule out that it may not be cost effective to do it any other way,due to manufacturing costs etc,so appreciate the company has few options.I am buying the housing from snowman and im hoping i can use bits from his parts to work with bits from my parts.Best bet is to go to a breakers yard,or try anyone on here that may have parts lying around.Either way call Lexus and its £288.
  16. it was only done once,im pretty sure of that, and it was done as a direct competitor to the Carrera GT,however it couldnt beat the CGTs 7:40,and Porsche declared themselves winners.
  17. it does seem slow, considering the power it punches out, however I cant see it being more nimble than a csl on any road.I dont think all out power is essential for a fast lap time at the ring,so much can be made/lost in the twisty stuff-that the two main long straights dont seem as significant,of course the veyron would be very quick down the long straights,it would just suffer heavily through the corners,i think that reflects in the time.
  18. he isnt claiming a record tho mate. The M3 csl does a 7:48 std sport auto lap,so by modding he has done a 7:22.He is trying to show what a modded car is capable off and compare it to cars worth £150k+
  19. ok thanks for that.so are you saying its dangerous then?what i mean is can the phones software become easily damaged in any way by performing this code reset?im a little thick with things like this, sorry if that sounds stupid.
  20. ******* **** ****** as you can see above,I have nothing nice to say to you gaylord!!
  21. ive seen a few techart porkers on youtube vids and they seem stupidly fast.I think i prefer ruf tho.
