  3. mate thats a great post-nice find!!absolutely brilliant!!
  4. Because I'd like to better understand how hybrids are perceived by those who have bought them. I have my own view (and Lexus has theirs), but that may not necessarily reflect how you all feel about it. That's why it would be great to have a conversation about it and share opinions. Thanks again smart!!!Ive considered a hybrid in the past, went for a 320d m-sport(brand new-delivery soon)due to mpg, combined cycle of 50+mpg.I too cant understand why anyone would go for a hybrid-the mpg isnt that great unless youre tying hard and although the lexus has superior spec as std,i just cant get my head around why you wouldnt go for an oil burner if you were interested in mpg.Maybe its an image thing?London congestion charges?sorry but i cant help refer to this article i read recently.Im not making the argument for or against its just im not clear on which car is actually greener-a diesel or a hybrid.this review nearly sold me and my mrs a hybrid-but in the end we decided on a beemer oil burner http://cars.uk.msn.com/News/car_news_artic...umentid=3926687
  5. nice read!!We have never really been interested in a diesel car before and when we went to the bmw dealership,we were originally looking for a mini.Somehow my Mrs started looking at the M coupe and said she really liked it,so naturally i kept quiet, knowing that i came there for a completely different type of vehicle, different budget also.Anyways as she was so keane we decided to take their demo car for a spin, and i must say i was absolutely blown away.Havent driven a diesel for absolutely ages but realised straight away that this was actually an amazing drive.I mean so much torque and it did feel meaty when pressing on(gear changes seemed fine too),in petrol cars you dont get that same feeling(it felt stonger lower down than my M3 does).Sorry if youve heard it all before, but i was absolutely shocked. The car worked out at £33k all in,with alot of options ticked and i must say i was more keane to purchase after the test drive.I have been a passenger in the is220d when lexus were dropping me back at work once and that too felt great-but because ive heard so many complaints about it on here-i tried to avoid it,also hoping the bmw will hold its value better than the Lexus(we have lost alot of money on numerous Lexii),especially if we want rid in a year or two.I dont know much about diesels as you have probably gathered-but this car seemed awesome and i cant believe i didnt notice what all the fuss was about sooner.Ill take some pics and vids once its here, although its wierd got a call from the dealer today, asking if we want it delivered before crimbo-which i thought was wierd-but thats another story.cheers for the write up,ill no doubt be following the 220d threads more now that im a diesel car driver.BTW the build quality in my E46 M3 is attrocious and its embarassing having people in the car-squeaks from any, every part of trim,i do hope the new cars are better.
  6. hmmm, thats quite a good price actually ,considering the coupe is £55k.yep id prefer a gallardo too
  7. yep then the pain will disappear soon.he would have drained it as much as possible, and prescribed the botics just incase, although its rare for an infection to be able to hang on after the draining.-good luck. ps try and use sensodyne when brushing-even tho your teeth may not be sensitive-it does help in alot of cases, just to take sensitivity away from the area in general
  8. That's a bit extreme isn't it? Couldn't you get it out of a pot or a tube? . . . . . theres always one that has to lower the tone.
  9. if he had an abcess the emergency dentist would have drained it and then prescribed a course of amoxicillin or if youre alergic to penicillin then something like erythromycin to clear the remaining infection-i doubt its that.Unless he didnt want to drain it-for a good reason, either way he would have diagnosed abcess. has your tooth become slightly elevated?was the there a sudden onset of pain, which gradually got worst after a couple of hours/days?if yes to the above then perhaps you do have an abcess-either way youve been sent away for a good reason.cos an abcess is baby stuff for a dentist and he has very little reason not to treat it immediately.
  10. Marcin, welcome mate and dont apologise for your English, its perfect, infact your English writing is better than the English spoken and written by many people who have lived in the UK their entire lives.Nice car I do like that colour combo too.I also think the 18" Baransu wheels will look really good.
  11. unless you are absolutely abusive on track-you cannot ruin your tyres and pads.I drove an E46 M3 on the nurburgring with newish PS2 tyres and new pads/hoses and did approx 20 laps over the entire weekend,my tyres were melting and if i touched them they felt like glue-however they have only just come off the car, this week-that trip was in the summer. Also theres alot more power running through the rear wheels of an M3 and if i couldnt ruin the tyres on the ring after 20 laps-you aint gonna come anywhere near ruining your tyres/pads on this track. If youre looking to drift then its possible-but if you are aiming to drive the thrack to get around in the quickest possible time then its impossible to screw the tyres and pads.
  12. thats good to hear, cos i just bought one today-a 320dM-sport coupe that is arriving jan20th.Loved the car, loved the coupe looks and its got a nice interior.i agree about the engine, but cant comment on the rest cos ive never experienced a newish E90 style bmw yet,so i dont know if quality has impoved.Once its here-youre welcome to come and have a drive of it and see what you think.
  13. Merry Crimbo to all the great guys that work hard to bring us this amazing informative forum on the net-i would be nowhere without it.
  14. i know that the is-f will be treated fairly and that it will get its dues payed if its really good, however i wouldnt dwell on the Lexus gearbox. The M3 had a quicker box than ferrari did back in 1999 when the first E46 M3 SMG was launched and is still quicker than the Ferrari boxes today-this means absolutely nout. All semi-auto boxes are soon to follow the DSG box as this is easier to live with day to day,its not about speed changes anymore.
  15. So you not had a drink yet then ???? :winky: Roll on Germany :D ****!!!lol
