  1. Back end sliding out? thats the whole point of an RS200 ... What tyres have you on it? Strut braces are the final bit of stiffening IMHO and most are just for show ... you won't notice any difference "road driving" ... Lowering springs you can't go wrong with Eibachs As Wozza said fitting stiffer ARB's will reduce body roll through the bends.... Prolex have cusco ARB's for a good price and you'll have no problem selling on the Cusco's in the future if you de-mod the car... (stick them up in Tezzaworld for half price and someone would bite your hand off) If your planning on changing the wheels I'd recommend fitting 8" wide rims with a good premium tyre and put 225 on the front and 245 on the rear and you'll be stuck to the road... good luck
  2. slightly off topic but Insurance can be a grey area, what about guys who fit non OEM brake discs and pads etc?
  3. you'll have to change your driving style for one.... not so much in the dry but if the roads are damp/wet then roundabouts are easy to mess up....don't floor the throttle until the car is lined up with the exit or you could end up facing backwards... take it easy for a while and you'll be fine, when you get used to it RWD it's great fun.... :D
  4. Only use genuine Toyota Type T-IV and it supposed to need 7.2lt I think the 7.2lt is a dry fill as there is alot of oil in the torque convertor that wouldn't come out... my mechanic only used 6lt and it's a messy-ish job so i wouldn't go doing it on the driveway :P good luck
  5. Hi all, my wife drives a 2007 "jeep" don't want to make the actual make and model public till i know the outcome, but it's a less main stream maker from the east... Anyway i recently noticed bubbling rust starting to appear in the rear boot lid seam and on further examination there's alot of panel rust in the engine bay behind the grille mostly... I brought it to the dealers attention and he said it's the first he's ever seen as they are supposed to have a type of galvanising .... anyway he took pictures and sent them off to main HQ in Ireland, that was 3 weeks ago and today he said that they hadn't got back to him.... Hand washed the car yesterday and spotted some more spots of rust on the roof and on the metal that secures the rear no. plate... :( we do live near the sea but my 8 year old Altezza is parked right beside it and it's in great shape... Anyway the stated manufactures warranty is 3 years paint and 8 years anti-perforation, so what does that entitle me to claim? this is the first car we've ever had that is still within the manufactures warranty and i don't know what i should expect? I don't know if i'd be happy with just getting the rusty panels resprayed as alot of other parts in the engine bay and underneath look rusted too... here's an example of the "hidden" panel rust To be honest i'm totally ****** off with myself for buying this brand and am thinking of just trading in in to a toyota or Honda dealer but i feel i should get the warranty work done first? all advice welcome Cheers Noel

  7. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/EDITORIAL/CARS...production.html Bless the Japanese :) .... now that it's begun other manufactures will surely follow suit .... hopefully dropping the prices of these cars and 0% emissions to boot :)
  8. but if you always fill the tank doesn't this make the car heavier and use more fuel?
  9. Drive really slow with the window open to hear exactly where it's coming from..... mine had a clicking noise from the right rear and turns out it was a little spring inside the handbrake drum that was rubbing....
  10. plastic box strapping folded over .... or the plastic strapping around bales of concrete blocks .... any construction sites nearby?
  11. Most lads over here use 10W40 semi- synthetic ... pick a trusted brand ;)

  17. well you can practice online then go and set a quick lap ... lol What about an IS350 TOM'S supercharged? that would be a great publicity stunt? set a fast lap get buyers interested? give the Stig a few quid to put in a super lap? well Dave :) ?

  19. that's probably because i bought them.... on their way from OZ as we "speak" he has more for sale here ... http://motors.shop.ebay.com/_Car-Truck-Par..._fxdZ1QQ_ptasZ1 i'll let you know how i get on ..... but i did get Tony at WIM's advice before ordering and he's says going by the description they should allow full recovery ... ;)
  20. and dangerous as grey blends in with a wet road .... had a close call with a dark grey car once .... it just appeared out of nowhere i say blue as well :D
  21. Ok i've found these .... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KMAC-FRONT-...emZ250263248653 this kit uses the original upper wishbone but replaces the standard bushes with adjustable ones.... :)
  22. The CUSCO type and the ones available from element motorsport in the states both say that they allow more negative camber....but if your car is lowered it's positive camber adjusters that you would need ... correct? what i've found out about the cuso adjustables is.... There are four settings that it can be set to, through the use of 4 bolts on a sliding rail, and two locking bolts. The settings are stock, -4mm, -8mm and -12mm, with increasing negative camber respectively. So if i'm not mistaken the CUSCO would make tyre wear worse not better? :(
  23. I've had sets of Toyo T1-R and Goodyear F1's but the Potenza RE050A are my favourite to date... lots of grip wet or dry and hard wearing as well, nice :)
  24. very good... read the comments.... clingons @Rikos ... it's not a real space shuttle
