  1. Some videos: Previews http://www.cartv.com/content/research/chan...us/MODEL_VCH/IS Revving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8k34oOSkPQ&eurl=
  2. I got a 250SE 56 plate yesterday, there is small squeek coming from the left rear section of the car. Other than that it drives amazingly. I should have got the petrol...
  3. I'm buying one! I've had one too many incidents for my liking...
  4. Well it is good news, relatively speaking that is, because since the injector changes I am now returning on a strictly urban basis i.e. zones 1-3 in London (see congested!!) 27-29 MPG which is an improvement of about 6 or so MPG. It is not the stuff of legend but does mean the time spent away from the pump has extended. I'm hoping it might increase with a bit more mileage.
  5. My service on my IS220D will be due in march, can any one give me an indicator of how much this will cost? thanks
  6. I went to Lexus Croydon who changed all my injectors. I have found that sixth works well enough around 70 mph now. But is much better at slightly above this I had 38mpg on motorway yesterday but it fell away once I got back into London and crawled through traffic for almost two hours!
  7. It looks a it better in motion. I reckon face toface it will be impressive: http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...article_id=4563
  8. I Had my car seen to over the weekend. The fuel injector(s) were changed. I think it was all of them but I will check. Haven’t noticed any improvement in the mpg as it was a half tank of petrol and I’ve not done much driving but I will let you all know over the coming weeks. On another point though, the performance has changed DRAMATICALLY, I can’t believe it. I am getting much more responsiveness lower down and the car moves from gear to gear really smoothly. The gear box has opened up completely as it was a bit clunky before. I’ve got 7.5K miles on the clock. I’d recommend getting the injectors changed for the change to the gearing alone – it is a different car.
  9. The lack of responses suggests the car does not grab everyone in the way we hoped. I prefer the rear parts of the car but the profile and front are disppointing.
  10. I was quoted £785 for a IS220. I'm 29, only just and have barely 2 NCD. So quite happy as this was a third cheaper than almost all other insurers. Looking for a big drop next year mind.
  11. Surely there are some new accessories out there. The car has been out for a year now and virtually nothing has been added to the range. Does anybody know what extras are out there?
  12. I'd advise against it. I've had mine since my boy was about 15 months, he's now 2 and it still is perfectly suitable for him. There's plenty of space for pushchairs, nursery bags and all the other misc stuff. It also has the ISOFIX bars is as safe a place as you're going to find for your most treasured bambino. I fit two adults in back beside him without too much fuss. Also, as they get older they love the car - my boy is obsessed with it - he laso locks the car by pressing the handles :)
  13. I saw a white one the other evening as I was crossing the road in Waterloo, it looked amazing.
  14. I've not had that problem but I think the lights take too long to come on. By the time they're on I've normally found my way into the car. Is there a way to make them come on sooner?
  15. My dealer assessed the car on Saturday - I got the use of the RX400h for the day :) They have now ordered injectors for my car so hopefully my car should be sorted within the next few weeks ;)
  16. I'm going on Sunday to my local dealer to look at my consumption = 21-22 MPH almost exclusively urban. They said the injector problem was not a directly related problem and that us on here get a bit wound up sometimes. Any advice?
  17. My beige leather was taking a beating from my old set-up. Lots of black particles had started forming under the seat. I went to Halfords and bought a protective mat for about £10. It works really well has tonnes of traction and protects my leather. Go to www.halfords.com and type in "Grip-it Mat" into the search engine
  18. I bought a Britax Duo ISOFIX plus from mothercare. It looks really neat and cost about £129 (it was reduced from £180). Fits much more snuggly than the previous Britax I had. http://www.mothercare.com/invt/lx2086&...seats,carisofix http://www.kiddicare.com/invt/carbriduoisfmarbl
  19. There's also Toyota labels on the windscreen where the heat sensors are located (bottom right methinks)
  20. I sat it one at the British Motorshow last month. all I can say is wow
  21. I was thinking the same thing. The cars are so different that now there is critical mass for the new model it doesn't really have any benefit mixing the two. "If that was the case, then they should split the GS, LS forums surely..........." I don't know the numbers but I assume there are far fewer owners of those models so a splitting wouldn't benefit anyone.
  22. This was mocked up sometime ago on another forum. I just think the car needs a sportier look. Not a fan of the chrome but the wheel size and the strong grille and skirt look good
