  1. Why would you want to retain your old non personalised plate? If you come to sell it, go through the paperwork of removing the personalised one and retaining it, and the DVLA will just issue you with a standard plate. this will probably be the same one that was removed anyway. I had a car a couple of years back with a private plate, it was on there for a couple of years or more. When i eventually sold the private plate, I got issued with the original that was on it before, by the DVLA, I hadn't had that on rentention or anything.
  2. My second tankfull in my Diesel Sport has averaged 42mpg. Thats over 2 mpg more than the quoted combined figure, so i'm well pleased :winky: I'm also very impressed with the acceleration in 3rd and 4th from about 2000 rpm. Its awesome. I've never driven the 250 auto, I'm sure is silky smooth, but personally I don't think I could be happier than I already am with my diesel.
  3. Really? Never had this problem, how big are your hands!!
  4. What about the diesel sport you had for the day? Please tell...
  5. Lexus Hatfield have ordered me one and it will be here on Wednesday for £7
  6. Cheers guys, I'll try and get hold of one today.
  7. Yes they do....but don't use the brush that comes with it, use a cocktail stick and fill in the chip with 2-3 coats of paint. Nice one cheers, how much do they charge? No doubt some exorbitant amount :winky:
  8. Do Lexus do a touch up paint pen or equivalent? I only want a small one for stone chips etc. Halfords don't do one, unsurprisingly. I'm after a Cadoxton Slate one. Cheers,
  9. :D LOL This ^^^ One Roonaldo, there's only one Roonaldo, one Roonaaaaldoooo.......
  10. Cheers for the info, I think I'll get myself a litre to keep in the boot. Out of interest whats the difference between them.Which is best, or doesn't it matter?:- ACEA B1 API CF or CF-4 API CE or CD
  11. Marvelous!! Now I wish I'd had the Sport!!! Seriously, suppose it shows you actually use 6th more anyway. That sounds good actually. I use 6th from about 55mph on motorway, and its in the sweet spot from 60mph.
  12. Just for the record. I'm averaging 40.7 mpg from my IS220d Sport for the first tankful, which is actually more than the quoted figures. And I've been "testing" the huge torque too :winky:
  13. Thanks Jamboo, It actually looks better in the flesh, it was a bit overcast that day, but in the sun the mica paint is beautiful, just like the mesa :winky: The images have been compressed quite alot on the hosting site, so the quality isn't as good as the originals on my PC. The camera is a Minolta Dimage Z2, 4 megapixel. I use the largest file size and adjust the white balance for cloudy day. This is a couple of years old now but its still a good camera.
  14. Finally got round to hosting my pics, so here they are:-
  15. Nice one, I'll give them a go. :winky:
  16. I want to put some pics of my new car up on here, but cannot find a decent hosting site for my pics. I spent hours uploading to yahoo pictures last night, only to be told by LOC forum that "dynamic somethings are not allowed in the tag". So I tried imageshack, but that won't accept files larger than 1Mb, some of my pics are 2-3 Mb. Any ideas?
  17. How much, and where do I sign up?? :D Speak to Chris Shipley on this forum :winky: He was cheapest place I could find them.
  18. Picked up my new IS220d Sport on Saturday, and it superb :winky: I got Cadoxton Slate with Lipari beige interior. The only thing that I didn't like was the beige mats, will get very dirty very easily. So I got some black mats off Chris Shipley, cheers Chris :winky: , and they look stunning B) Because the dash is black and beige, the black mats contrast really well. IMO they look so much better than the beige mats. If you have beige interior, I'd seriously consider this. I'll post some pics soon. Cheers,
  19. Don't be in 2 minds, trust me :winky:
  20. Disagree, sorry. That may be the way you see this thread, but I certainly didn't post on it for that reason.
  21. Picked up my new IS220d Sport on Saturday from Lexus Woodford. Cadoxton Slate and Lipari beige interior. It's "just" the standard car, no MM or anything. I am soooo impressed! I have owned an old IS, GS, Audi, Honda, Seat, Rover and Citroen cars and this is by far the best. This is in terms of looks, value for money, build quality and overall sense of "wickedness"! I have only done just over 100 miles, but theres no rattles, build quality issues etc, its all top notch. The attention to detail seems very good indeed. The ride is firm on the 18's (Dunlop's), but not harsh and is better than I expected. Averaging 35mpg over these 100 or so miles, so not bad, and thats short trips mostly. 6th gear is easily available from 53/4 mph. Standard stereo is excellent, burnt my mp3's to make mp3 CD's with iTunes and it works perfectly, ripped at 192kbps and sound is excellent. Have already given it a good waxing, and taken some pics, so will upload tonight. Cadoxton looks awesome IMHO!! I had only driven a couple of miles down the road from the dealer, when a bloke in a white van wound his window down and gestured to me. Oh no, I thought, whats falling off? He merely said "nice motor mate" and tipped me a wink :winky: Made me very proud!
  22. I picked up my IS220d Sport yesterday, and ITS WICKED! :D
  23. Hmmm, interesting. As my new IS arrives tomorrow, I may have to invest :winky:
  24. I got addicted to designer clothing a few years ago. I'm not soooo bad now, but my favourites are Paul Smith, Stone Island, Ted Baker. I have a couple of nice Nicole Farhi pieces too.
  25. Do you mean its a bad service? Or the price? Cos I think the price is awesome! £21/month for unlimited phone calls (including certain international calls) plus 8meg broadband, can't really get better than that. Although I'm quite interested by that, as you can't go straight from telewest to talktalk, you need to go back to BT first (which means 12 months with them), so I'm gonna have to try this B) How much was your monthly line rental previously? I'm sure their service is of equivalent service. Remember it's an 18 month contract with Talktalk, and there is no guarantee that broadband will remain "free". It's quite possibly a stunt to attract large numbers of customers. If the put the price up from free to a competitive level, then they know that human nature will result in few customers actually making the effort to switch back to BT/Telewest etc. I would do that immediately but, none of my mates are savvy enough to even know about voip. Many of them don't even know how to switch bluetooth on. Anyway, who needs free call offers. You can join www.1899.com and get national calls anytime for 0p/minute. All you pay is a connection charge of 3pence. Calling mobiles from home is cheaper too. I just pay line rental and use 1899 for any calls. The free broadband from TalkTalk is free forever :winky: And exactly, how many other people have got IP phones at the moment.....
