  1. They are about £93 I think, I wanted some black ones instead of my beige ones aswell. Speak to Chris Shipley, I've ordered some from him :winky:
  2. Not quite true. The Lexus IS220d Sport has different gearing to the other diesels.
  3. Well people:- ie. people who are not ill? Sorry couldn't resist :winky:
  4. The use of the word "its" in your second paragraph is incorrect. You ought to have an apostrophe in there. (you did rather ask for it mate) I never said I was perfect. It's the complete lack of punctuation that really bothers me :winky: I find I have to read some things 2 or 3 times before I properly understand the meaning, purely because its not punctuated. Nowadays I see huge senctences which have no punctuation. Rather than breaking up senctences with punctuation, it is now common to stuff all the information into one long sentence, this is difficult to read quickly I find. Senctences? twice :o Keyboard's broken?

  6. I can't wait to check!!!! 1 week seems such a long time.
  7. Has anybody else noticed that the standard of punctuation and spelling seems to be awful in this country? From what I can see, it seems to be getting worse as well. Maybe it has something to do with over reliance on spell checkers and txt messages or lowering standards of education? I don't know, maybe its always been bad? If I look at someone’s CV and see bad spelling or punctuation, I am immediately put off. Does this bother anyone else?
  8. You know the bit where he hits the bar is camera trickery, right? The rest of the footage is good though, the guys a genius with a football.
  9. I think you're talking about the 156, the 159 was only released recently and is a very nice car :winky:
  10. I've spoken to Lexus GB and E-mailed my 10 closest dealers, none said there was going to be an IS250 Sport auto option.
  11. I've been using this for ages and it is accurate. Prices are as of the dates stated
  12. Hi, I have only driven the IS220d Sport, not the standard 220d, and it was only in an hours test drive. Mine arrives on 13th May ;-) The gearing in the sport has a different final drive ratio. I found that I could use 6th easily from 60mph. TBH I didn't find the gearing a problem, and I currently own a 2.0ltr diesel Citroen C4. The dealer said he'd never driven the Sport diesel until he came out with me, but said 60 in 6th wouldn't be possible in the other trim levels on the IS220d.
  13. Do you own the diesel? because the thread title is 25 d not IS220d? and you own a IS250 auto (according to your profile)? Have you checked under the bonnet? :D
  14. When you are playing mp3 CD's in the new IS, what is shown on the display, is it just a few chartacters of the song title? And also, is it the filename that is shown, or the track name from within the properties of the file that is displayed? Cheers
  15. Just a quickie, whats the service interval on the IS diesel?
  16. Depends on whether you have the Diesel Sport or not. 6th is easily available from 60mph in the Sport.
  17. Anyone tried it? Its not available near me yet, but its supposed to be priced the same as normal Shell Diesel but with "optimax like" benefits.
  18. I've asked about 10 dealers now, none have said there are any plans to introduce an auto for the sport or diesel......
  19. Others might care to comment... But I don't think so.... I have the Pama Cigaretter lighter extension that's actually shown on there, but there is absolutely no way of closing the armrest with that in there... The actual "male" end and sufficient cable flex attachment can be no longer than 8cm max..that's the rule of thumb to follow. Anything bigger and you could be struggling. It's where the Halfords one looks much better. See picture: The black one is my Nokia charger - won't fit. It is approx 2cm too big The grey one is the 12v Mail supply and works a treat, which I am going to "butcher" over the next few weeks to extend it to a new Female ciggy lighter (supplimentary fused of course) - which is somewhere in the Black Hole - AKA my garage. Need to send in a search party to get it...it'll only give me one useable socket in there but then that's all I want... PS Picture updated to show the Pama Extension too.... Cheers Jamboo, so the grey one fits OK yes? Are the Halfords ones still available then, if they fit? Why don't you get one of them, instead of making your own? Cheers,
  20. Do you reckon any of these would fit, and allow closure of centre console? Splitters
  21. Most of my driving is on the motorway around 60ish, so we'll see how the economy is. Now that I do a few more miles a year my right foot isn't as heavy as it used to be... Can't wait though! Was so impressed with the car!
  22. Is there anywhere online that sells the splitter to allow the armrest to close properly?
  23. It depends on the colours and spec, messa red with beige interior was 2-3 weeks, however some other cominations were 10+ weeks. BTW the messa red is stunning when you see it in the flesh, I very nearly changed my colour when I saw it.
  24. I test drove (and ordered) a new IS220d Sport yesterday. I have been reading about the tall 6th gear on the IS, well it seems the final drive ratio on the sport has made a big difference. I was cruising around in 6th from 60 with no issues. This was a big plus for me because its not easy to do 70 on the M25 in the mornings, and I normally do about 60ish, so having 6th available is good ;)
