  1. I've just replaced all four on my IS200, they were Uniroyal Rain sport, 225 40 ZR 18. The tyres came standard on my alloys and I got about 12,000 out of them. I was pretty happy with that really.
  2. I think it's superchargermorph's car, looks like it's on springs but could be coilovers
  3. Where is the best place to have the windows tinted? I'm sure I have seen a thread somewhere but I really can't remember where it was....
  4. They do look good Si.... So what's next mate? NOZ?????
  5. Thanks Dark_IS, when the pic's are out and the price is available I think I'll go for that... :D :D :D
  6. Si, What's the TRD shift knob like, quite fancy one myself..
  7. The difference in size of the wheels will make a negligible difference as even though the rim size is increased from standard, the profile has been reduced. I went from the standard 16" wheels to 18" on 225 40 and with a little maths it became obvious that the difference was next to nothing. I can't remember exactly but I think it was about 13mm larger over the whole circumference. This meant the speedo was less than 1% out, I have the calculation's if you're interested....
  8. They'd have to catch us first!!!
  9. Still a little expensive for me at the moment, any rough ideas on the price of the induction kit? Is it worth fitting one without the S/C?
  10. Not very technical nor really recommended but i had an err 3 just the other day and found that gentle shock treatment applied to the right hand side of the centre console in line with the CD entrance seemed to do the trick..
  11. As an Engineer for Rolls-Royce I get paid for 37 hours a week but usually do just over 40. I also have my own business, about 20 - 25 hours a week on that I suppose so somewhere in the region of 60 -70 a week. You can never do too much for a good company :D :D :D
  12. So what sort of price would I look at for a supercharger then?
  13. Was the wiring schematic ever found for the IS200?
  14. I'd also be interested, is there any other mods you would recommend that would compliment the induction kit?
  15. This is true Si, I agree with you whole heartedly, however, as you can define the exact spec yourself you can create exactly the end result you require. If for some reason you decided to lower the front less than the back this can be achieved where, with a standard kit a drop is defined equally from front to rear. As an engineer I have dealt with alot of companies that produce components to an incredibly high specification, I don't think quality really is an issue here, still at the end of the day people like named parts and there is nothing wrong with that.
  16. Imi, Don't know if I should say this but I contacted a couple of spring manufacturers and they will make custom springs to your exact specification for between £20 and £30 a wheel. This means the lowering distance, travel, stifness etc. can be made to precisely how you want. That maybe worth a try to reduce the cost.
  17. Alright Rodders, I've recently been getting lot's of bits from the lovely people at Lexus ******, one flash of the Gold membership card and an instant discount!! Is there anything formal that has to be done before the dealer can be posted as supplying a discount? Cheers
  18. So they'll be done on the next service anyway then...
  19. Thanks Mark, where can I get the HKS Iridium plugs?
  20. Morning all!! First question, I popped off the air filter and housing etc. the other day and just had a look at my plugs, the gap on them is about 1mm, which seems quite large to me, is this right? There is also some red tinting on the end of the plug which again, is this normal, the car has just clocked 55,000 and I'm not sure if they will ever have been changed?? Secondly are there any better spark plugs about that I could use? Any comments would be welcome. Thanks
  21. Famous or infamous...... :) :) :)
  22. That is true but would it have been any different if the Fire Service had been fully manned? On one of the calls the striking firemen did actually leave the picket line...
  23. Looks a really good job mate. Do you ever get Rev's? If you do I think it was in last months edition there was an article on creating your own fibre glass install.
  24. you did all the fibre glass work yourself then?
