I am thinking of removing it to see what wiring set-up is but need to know is they have a security code or not Yes i is a Se model (with Amp) trying to figure out the wiring set-up and using the supplied (thanks LOC) wiring diagram. :duh: Fitting a Aftermarket Setro, but going tohave major problems i think since ther is no wriring harness. Would i be right that i would have to remove the Amp or Bypass it if i was to fitthe aftermarkeHu? Once bypassed the back speakers will not work off a new Amp (Rockford Fossgate 2 chnle)? if not would i ihvae to replace them with standard 6x9's? or can i adapt them to work off the new Amp? too many Questions and no 1 good single point on this site for the answers We should have a SE and Sports Audio Section Please? L Honda Legend 3.2 V6, Fully loaded and a cruiser. T Pug 406 TDI Never had any probs, clocked up 28k in one year MOT passed all the time.. best i every owner interms of lack of maintance 1991 Merc 320 CE Coupe, AMG Body Kit, 19" AMG Rims, Slammed V6 looker, A Classic collecter car. Best Head turner i ever owned. Sold it due to baby & House move; Image ?? L Scubbie WRX Turbo, Slammed 19" Rimes, Imported, Blitz Suspension, Turbo Timer etc.. Lexus Specialist in the West Yorkshire Region Please Need your help to locate (if any) a Lexus Specialist in or around Leeds or West Yorkshire please? My last car was always taken to the Audi Specialist 9he had all the diaognostics and tools for the every Audi model) and was the fraction the price compared and better service by far. So I am looking for a similar type of specialist for my new baby IS200 se. and anyone got any experiences of them? Urgent: need to find out why my engine light comes on from time to time, not all the time only when I have transferred it from LPG to petrol? Something to worry about or not Cheers DibsLPG

hi guys I’m pondering the same thing to rip out the standard HU and replace with aftermarket one but do not fancy replacing all the speakers and the hassle that goes with it, especially the rear 6x9's = ££ is also a major prob. Unfortunately you can not buy an aftermarket wiring harness only for the s models I have been to one very rep-Sound systems installers in the local area and they said " we do not touch the Lex SE or the Sports models as they are too much hassle and take up to much time" unless you have a lot of $$ they don’t want to touch it. :tsktsk: I managed to wire up a Phone kit no probls so will try to make my own wiring harness and keep you guys posted on the progress.. :P I will be watching this topic for further advise please :D cheers Dibslpg

I think coilovers are now sold. TRD sideskirts, TTE rear lip, wheels are 18inch TTE Grand prix. Yes i had problems with speed ramps, so the car has been put up abit from this pic :D What Price are you looking for the TTE rear lip mate and what colour is it please? might be interested in the side skirts too? What Rims are they mate, 19"? Is it dropped 70mm? do you have any probs with the Speed ramps? i have lots in my area i mean lots and it's putting me off dropping the car by that much i was thinking 35 to 40mm with a set of 18" ? kazi is right i guess its the Wheel ball Joint, bearing. Get it checked out asap cos; my last motors (BMW) fell off on its side, when i was trying to do a 3-point turn in the middle of the high street (prat blocked road). so i managed to block the main road for a hour too Expensive mistake ignoring the noise :tsktsk: Get it checked out from a Tyre place (more experiance). id suggested you take it back to the Tyre balancing place and tell them that it is virbrating. I think that when your wheels have been swaped over from front to rear the back should have been re-balanced again as they are now on the front. Just my 2pennies worth, hope it helps :D DibsLpg

Gwilso; When you had your aftermarket stero fitted did you use a Wiring Harness? Reason is that i have the same model 1999-Se car and been hunting high and low for a Wiring Harness adapter etc. all very confusing :duh: what bits and where from please.. or i might just hand it over to someone to install it all for me and what did they charge you need to know if it is worth / or not getting ripped off once i start to ask round. Any guidance appreciated. :D Dibslpg

Hi B.jay, I am doing the same thing as you, looking for a Wiring Harness/adapter anything but like you self not haveing much luck, Posted in the audio, video section requesting ifo. I will share any thing i find out mate :winky: like you self i have bought a facia plate off ebay (waiting for post). and alredy have an Head unit, AMP, Sub. I rather keep the standard Amp as it is configured to the correct setting for the Speakers (2ohms). keep me posted mate and we miht get this resolved together :D DibsLPG

Hi all, (sorry if already posted) I am trying to locate a Wiring harness for the IS200 Se 1999 model bascially i am trying to installthe following: Kenwood MP4, Mp3, cdr, video CD etc (no DVD ) head unit + 7" mororised Screen in a 2 din facia plate (supplier ebay or infinity). The kenwood has an ISO Plug but having problems finding a Wiring harness adapter for the SE model (only the S models has one :tsktsk: ) Has anyone done this to the se model please realy need advise. Geoffers has helped a lot but still need some advise:- 1. Would i need to bypass the amp (i want to keep it if poss has it is a great balanced sound set-up).? 2. ISO plug for the Wiring loom; would the amp still work? 3. Telephone kit requires a mute wire, has the standard wiring loom got one? Honestly couldnt tell you as i never got around to mod ing mine, just left it as standard as the OEM system was so good. i bought the adaptor with the intention of changing the head unit then never bothered. Adaptor facia still here if anyone wants it. Infinity............. Infinity i might be interested (once again ) in the facia adapter (ebay guy let me down :tsktsk: ) Like your self i am still doing the research about the wiring harness and if an adapter available, If not then how easy it is to re-wire the pug to an ISO one? bypass the Amp etc too many unknows What was the price again inc p&p please? cheque or postal order or payPal etc? Is there a mute on the standard Deck onthe SE version bottom CD loader deck? wanting to wire up the Nokia Handsfree kit to the car. :duh: Anyone? Cheers, Dibs

I PAID £20 WITH RAC for a main HPI Check about a month back all clear: Check you want to find out are:- is the Car Stolen, Written Off, ever Involved in a Accident or has Finance outstanding on it. Engine number, chassis number (spelling ) and number of owners etc. Note ask if the car was on a Private Plate at all.. V-important. :winky: RAC told me it has outstanding Finance for Lexus limited. gave me the number of the company (Toyota Finance Ltd- Lexus Division). Rang them up and confirm it with the very helpful staff, told then the Reg, nothing on the system :tsktsk: then remembered that it was on a Private Plate and hey presto up came all the details . Luckily it was all been cleared off and that they have not got round to updating the systems. He did right away. :) I Rang RAC back-up again and told them that Lexus confirm that it is clear, so why they are telling me different> She re-did the HPI and sent me out a new clear report. :D Moral of story, do some digging round your self and ring around; like Finance companies (if still on the system) Ring the Service centre up check mileage, last serviced, and all important timing belt changed Note any Registration number changes. Ring the last owner if poss to confirm the Mileage, any dints or minor problems that you can think off Sorry for the long post mate, but it helps Dibs

Tried to do a search but came back negative Instead of the BG blue band on the left side od the plate backing it has a Lexus symbol and the frame is in Black too with the website address running through it? HI, The Tank (60 lt i think) is inthe boot up against the back seats, still can gain acess to the spare wheel. but once the buggy goes in and the weekly shoppng its full eXOBeX; is Flash Lub and good? I was informed that Slick 50 is better and runs for around 80k inyour engine. The Auto shop owner has run his pick up on Gas for over 4yrs and never put any Flash Lub in only Slick 50 and swears by it? any opions mate? Dibs
