  1. Hi usuf_x, I bought the cheaper one and it's works fine, it think it was about £35 too. :D, I had mine installed by a pro when i got my LPG ssytem serviced so he priced it in. Tip: find out who installed it and try to ask the last owner when it was last serviced.. Because it is highly recommended that you have it serviced at least once a year just to make sure everything is working fine. All they do has far has i am aware is they flush the tank and pipes then reset any software, valves, pumps etc.. and check for leaks. mine was never serviced since been installed in 2001 :duh: so i was keen to get mine done and it did make a diff.. I bought a re-fill Flashlube off ebay too for about £12 and so far it's only gone through half in about 6months. Good luck, keep us posted. dibslpg
  2. Mate great find, doyou have the ebay link please? Think it might be usefull. :) I am sure you can download the data from the web for free, like i did for the speed-camera's, so has such there must be a place that has the LPG stations on it too. just do a search on Google.co uk Please note if you are about to update the TOM TOM, make sure you back it up on your pc (trust me it is important if it ever get's currupted, has my brothers did when uploading speedcamera stuff :tsktsk: :tsktsk: ) Basically be carefull and read the instructions and search the tomtom website on how to upload the data. It is streight forward once you hook it up to the pc/laptop etc. Hope it helps Dibslpg
  3. Thanks Anees, Please PM me when you haev one ready with a price that you have in mind. In the meantime i have ordered a in-dash mortorised 7" Screen so might be installing it with the DVD player in the future. Cheers Dibslpg
  4. Thanks for welcome They are origional cd's, i thought about moisture but the one in my pajero is parked next to it on the drive and that works fine every morning (clean cd's regular anyway), I forgot to mention that an "err" flashes up on the cd player. Welcome to LOC.. Have you tried a CD Cleaner, a good quality one with about two brush points on it etc... I had the same error flash up a few times and after running the CD cleaner throught it several times it worked fine.. If that fails there is a lot of infor on this site about the CD Error and bug / fix's or replace the unit altogether :D just search the site. has far has the heating vets bug, all i can think off is that you might have an air lock onthe passenger side hence the cold air, or Heating materix needs replacing. (had a similare prob on my Nova back in the days ) Hope it helps, Dibslpg
  5. They look great mate, What He means is what inch size are the rims, 17", 18" or 19" ?? the bigger the rim the smaller the tyre wall you would have to buy to allow it to fit, with out rubbing..i think (depends if it is lowered).. Hope it helps. Dibslpg
  6. Cheers for the Info Ice_man, but Autodata charge around £62.50 for the 2007 data sheets. + nopt sure if they are the right ones :o Just looking for a simple data sheet which will give a guide to the faults then i can take it to the garage and tell them to fix the bug, rather than them doing a lot of Umming and Arring and scratching their heads and thinking how much money they can get out off this one... :tsktsk: I will keep on looking, if any off you guys came across some them please post them up, I’m sure more are on the look for them too.. :D Dibslpg
  7. I refer to an older post by: SteveAudioX back in Nov 23 2003, inc. pics. link: Linky I have PMed over a week ago but no response has yet. I have tried ebay no luck so would i have to hang round scrappers to find a Lex Navigator and pinch the Screen top dash unit and convert it myself I have done a search on LOC but far to confusing.. :o I love the idea of the top Dash mounded (hidden) screen which i can hook up to a DVD player (in glove box) and thus leaving the original sound set-up alone.. Any ideas guys please? Dibslpg..
  8. Been thinking about these for a bit but afraid of messing it up.. So to re-cap: 1. Thanks for the link to the software, Which is the one you use? 2. Iceman: can this ODB2 cable (ebay) be used on the IS200 se 99 models? connects under bonnet marked diagnostics (no other hidden location is there). 3. Where to get the faults codes explaination from please? Cheers, any help appriciated. Dibslpg OPS. pehaps i could came and hook mine up to your laptop :D Housty34 if you are local?
  9. Firstly check that your tyres are correct pressure all round (i think it's an average of 33) :) then have your front wheels balanced that should cure it. If not that have the joints checked out like the man says. Good luck :D
  10. sorry to hear that mate, What made you spin like that; Oil? All i can say is shop around, take a pic on the phone and take to all the local body repair shops to get a rough idea. That way you can negotiate with the guy once you get your price.. Hope you get back on the road quick.

    My Altezza

Very Nice motor, very clean and i think we are all in agreement that the front splitter is a great mod. Hence all the Q's about it and where, costs, fitting etc.. I had a Seat front splitter installed on one of my old cars totally changes the look (will find the pic and post) so fitting splitter from another motor is a great idea, but this mating is just great. (Laguna on Altezza)... :D Please post some more pics. :D dibslpg
  12. Hi Aky, i have the same problem on my Lex, O2 sensor i think, Where did you get the part from please and how much? To answer the Question i think it the second sensor further down the exhaust mid point, not sure but remember seeing one sticking out when my car was up a ramp. Cheers Dibslpg.
  13. Wow they look great, i would not mind a pair my self :D :D :) I track this thread to see what come-up. Cheers Dibslpg
  14. Hi mate PM me and i will email you the wiring diagram PDF version across.. :D
  15. Just Ordered my Wiring harness (at last) :D from ebay. Hope fully will be pestering you guys for some advise if i fail to locate the information in this great resource website... :D I will get round to installing the new Kit once i have my New in-car DVD-Mp3 etc... Screen arriving from abroad.. hopefully. Just waiting for cousin to pick-it up that's all. keep you guys posted. Cheers for the link and the wealth of knowledge posted her so hopefully the install will go smoothly.... :duh: Dibslpg
  16. Me too mate, :) Been looking round, not fussed about the sat-nav has i do not have one in the car, but the touch screen DVD, mps etc would be great. Just recommendations from the LOC members would be appreciated. :D Cheers in advance Dibsplg
  17. I have a feeling that this Fleet of cars if not just his personal toy's but compay, Directors, Embasadors, PM's Ministers, and the toilet cleaners etc... Do not forget that he owns the Country. So all these cars might be the Company car Fleet for the staff..That might explain the reson for having so many of the same make/models of cars. Love to find out which one he drives him self on this day's off (that would be the main car he owns) :D
  18. Thanks fo rthe tips guys, Mine system was installed back in 2001 a swell when these type were all the rage, the multipoint ones were new on the market and costing almost twice has much. Hence the owner had this system install at a cost of £1850.00 from Hull. Since then he never had it serviced or checked he covered over 80k. So when I got hold of it I had it serviced and the guy told me this has never been opened up, cos the original seals are still in place + I rang the original installer to double check and the owner too. I will pester the service guy, has i only had it serviced 4 months back, but mainly LPG systems never really require servicing because they are a closed system. The main thing they do is change the filters, flush the tank and wd40 a few bit's from what i have read-up. they charge you a arm & leg for the privilege too :tsktsk: So i am not pleased when my system has not improved :tsktsk: and still has the same faint smell of gas creeping back in the cabin :o luckly none of us smoke :winky: . Mine system automatically switches back to petrol when empty. has far has felling the trip over to LPG it is only felt when the system is very low on gas. you hardly notice when the tank is full. Cheers Dibslpg.
  19. Thanks anyway mate, What type of system has the car been installed with please? Multi-point or Single point? I would recommend having Flash-Lube Installed (if not already done so) Basically this is a lubricant which protects the valves seats and the top end of the engine. have a Look on ebay for the Kit less than £100 installed. Speak to the LPG expert. Its used alover Australia and came very highly recommened by all the LPG discussion groups etc.. What milage has your car done by the way?
  20. was told by the fitter last night that if you happen to be driving and it runs outs just switch over to petrol and should be fine but dont leave it for a long time otherwise you might hear a nasty bang when you put your foot down hard! ( thats just scary alone!) he said the car should be fine as long as you quickly turn over to petrol.Your other point about starting up and stalls I have had that but only when i started the car in my 1st couple of occasions but never after works all the time. the only time i had it stall was when i was playing with the switch from gas to petrol and back again quickly the car system dont like that ( dont ask my why i did it stupid me) . BANG ! :o :o That sounds scarry, will try to find out from the service guy about this problem hopefuly it's only to do with the VVTi timing conflict nothing major I hope. Dibslpg Ps when you are running on LPG do you get a faint Gas smell in the car? Its only that i an begining to get it in the car from time to time and it starts to give you a headache after bit, i Just put the vents on to recycle now on. Cheers Dibslpg
  21. I was told by an LPG installer/ service expert, to never let it run dry, could cause you problems with switching over, so i tend to fill up when the red light if on (not blinking).. not sure how much will be left in tank (reserve so to say). Quick Q guys, Has your car when switching over to LPG tipped /stalled :duh: Meaning when i started it up and once warm (half temp) i run it get to about 3½k revs and it trip over, but no LPG goes through so just cuts out and stalls. ?? I restart her up again and put my foot down and then it trips over to gas fine and runs smoothly.. The LPG guy said that the system is a single point injection type and not up to the cars Hi-Tech ECU so sometimes it can not keep up with the car's VVTi comp etc.. So i am guessing that the VVti kicks in at about the same revs has the LPG trip is set at so it conflicts and stops the Gas, thus stalling it dead.? mind you it only does this in evenings on the way home not in the morning. Sorry to hijack the thread but it's a LPG problem too So any guidance suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Diblpg.
  22. been folowing this link for ages and willbe ordering mine very soon, Whats this Problem with the Aerial please? :o I listen to the radio a lot in the mornings etc - News Traffic etc.. Normally you have a Aerial Jack from from the Stock wiring unit at the back ? I take it the Lex Stock wiring has no Stock aerial jack to plug to the back of the new H/u? need to find out how to hook up the Aerial connection fo rthe Radio please with this new Lead of Ebay? Cheers Dibslpg
  23. That will depend on the size of the Tank, My Tank size is about 40lts and it sits up against the back seat. I only fill up once a week and avenge around 175miles on it filling up with £15.00 @ 39.9p/lt.. Is that good or not please advise from fellow Gas users? Only Problem with a large Tank is that it eats up your boot space. Mine takes up half and only leaves enough for a folded Pram and a bit off Shopping. Please Note that your Boot Mat will have to be cut in half or have a hinge fitted to allow access to the Spare Tyre. Hope it Helps, And any response on the Mileage you guys get from your Gas would be appreciated.
  24. with is have touch screen technology, how would you lock the keypad, screen? provent it from been messed up in the pocked, bag, providing you have a big pocket.. :D I am sure once its released some bright spark woul dhave reprogrammed it to run the rivals software and hence bypass the office dic, outlook problem or come-up with plug-ins which will allow you access to view them... just a matter of time before they crack it and have the software up on the net... just look at Tom Tom Sat-navs they have some many plug-ins now that you can even watch DVD's onthe TT1's let alone have Homer Simpson's voice guiding you on the way.. So i am waiting, to see how it does first before the debug it and release the next version before considering to find one cheap-enough.. :P
