  1. Very nice Install, what were the Costs please, quite a lot of people interested.. Looks great.. I am considering it this time round..
  2. If its a coil............i have some here, 2nd hand but 1/2 the price of a new one :winky: Thanks a lot Marcus, I will be on contact when i now which one and how many i require.. What year car are they out off and what condition (millage) etc, etc.. Whats the cost inc.. p&p please :D Send a PM is needs be.. Cheers Dibslpg
  3. I had the engine light come-on from time to time so after having it hooked to about three diagnoses PC it finally revealed it problems: 1. Engine Controller 2. Engine Misfire (most likely a Coil Pack- but which one?) 3. Fuel error (caused by LPG conversion) So my Question is what is an Engine Controller? Costs, location and easy fix?? Your help guidance is always appreciated. Dibslpg.
  4. Welcome to the LPG crew Alax JB.. :D I too have a single point Italian Injection conversion (installed by the last owner). Given the option i would have installed the Multi-point but it costs almost twice as much.. I would recommend Flash-Lube too it saves the Valve seat's and basically it lubricates the top end of the engine which works with the higher temp which LPG burns at.. Well worth buying off ebay and getting them to install it.. I just been to a local installer to see what it would cost to upgrade the present kit to the Multi-point: £800 inc.. taking into account that the Tank (40Lt) and filler is already installed.. :o :o But he did recommend that it not worth it better off getting a newer car and then getting the full thing done at £1500 from fresh.. I do notice a diff in performance when pulling away at junctions but nothing major, cos it is costing be half the price to get to work and back.. :D Dibslpg. :D
  5. Thanks. I got my kit some second hand (side skirts & front lip) some new (rear lip). I was lucky as the second hand bits were already sprayed GG. But to give you an idea I paid £200 for the fitting, full spray on the rear lip & "touch up" on the sides & front. A full spray would "i guess" be about £400 to £500. Mine came with the rubber seals (fitting kit) but the car was drilled to match the holes in the kit then bolted on. Did not seem to be a problem to the Body shop though. Good luck Nice one mate, looks really good. I think the TRD kit does look spot on with the car's lines. Have you smoked the headlights yourself or are they OEM ones?Dark rims would suit IMO as well. Jamie Bought the smoked headlights, smoked front fogs & smoked rear clusters of a LOC member then just swapped out the standard for these. They are Lexus OEM ones not "DIY" smoked. Also changed out the rear fogs to smoked clear just to keep the effect. Cheers Bob Thanks a lot mate, :D I am at present bidding for a TRD front bumper on fleebay, but i will keep an eye out for a TRD front lip from now on if i loose the bid.. But cheers for the tips. Dibslpg
  6. Looks great mate :D TRD kit suits the car perfectly; I am after a TRD Kit too, so keeping my eye out for one. If you do not mind how much did the Kit cost and what were the costs for Fitting/spraying please? I need to start to save up but how much?) I Was about to buy TRD Rep, Skirts but having had a chat to the Spray/Body shop he said that make sure it comes with a fitting Kit :duh: What is one and did your kit come with one? Thanks in advance, Dibslpg.
  7. Your link does not work?? or is it just my pc.. But has far has i am aware their is no special Spark plugs that you would use just for LPG. your best bet is to speak to an LPG installer and he / she will tell you the plug have nothing to do with it.. But i might be corrected. Best to replace the plug with Denso Irridium plugs (i htink they are the same for the GD) mine is an IS200 on LPG. I am planning to speak to a LPG service mechanic and i will ask him the same Q so i will Keep me posted. Dibslpg.
  8. Ditto... what's with that! ;) Ditto again, that Buldge does not suite it at all, would have been better off with a scoop instead :D
  9. Thanks guys for the tipe, So Blue it is. :) YES my brother is going for the retro Install only thing he's on the look for is a old pair of hi-fi speaker which he can stick onthe back shelf :P :D Can not se the point of having a CD player in the front when you have a 10 disc changer in the boot . Dibslpg Just found a LPG installer/garage locally that sells Gas at 37p/lt. (and NOS refills) whow beats all the garages and he is busy, very busy.. so guess where i am going to fill up for the East break. Oops only to get stuck in the long bankholiday traffic jams :tsktsk: :tsktsk: ..
  10. :D :D :D the bottom answer is the correct one and thus should be the one that lands you the job because it reality.... :D
  11. Hi Guys, any Idea what colour is the Remote Wire (Amp-lead) colour in a Pioneer KEH-P4025 tape player Yes a cassette player :D . If any one has a wiring Diagram for a Pioneer Tape player it would be greatly appreciated if it can be emailed (pm me) please? I am installing a Amp and sub in my brothers car and his player is hooked up to a 12 disc CD Changer in boot so cassette player is fine up front (he still has some cassettes which are pretty good too). any help is appreciated Cheers Dibslpg Ps: i am planning to install my system in very soon, only waiting on the screen to arrive, so this practice run is useful. :)
  12. What are you guys complaining about this the NEW DEMOCRACY that Britain and America a leading the way in: :D We in th eUK have more CCTV and "big Brother " watching us than any other country in the world, figure that worse than the Nazi’s / secrete police did in Germany back before the war. So next time you pop out: 1. Your car is Tracked by camera's (proof - tracking criminals across the country) 2. Your plate is recog -- Tax, Insurance, MOT etc.. tied to a Crimbo data base to se eis you have any ASBO's or outstanding fines etc.. 3. Fill Up petrol. forecourt has a number plate recog camera, + pay by card and it too is logged etc... 4. go shopping, tracked by centres CCTV 5. Every shop you pop in to and pay by card is logged etc.. 6. use your mobile and it too is logged date, time and to whom and how long. 7. Your mobile phone can be tracked even if you are not using it, tracked... 8. If you suspect anything odd about anybody off a different race, coulur you can report them via a free phone number now a days.. Stuffed if you have a beard and where a had and go to the mosque walking or carrying a Fitness first bag…(Secret police) 9.. 10.. this can go on and on So who is watching and can we trust them? Sorry if I sound paranoid but it is getting harder to do anything nowadays with-out big brother coming down on you, Yet the crime rate is going up and up so what is going on??? DEMOCRACY IS DEAD (or has we use to now it) :tsktsk: :tsktsk:
  13. Cheers, Rikos, I have just been on to the dealers parts section and he mentioned that if it is the wheel bearing then you would get a constant noise and worse when going round bends + your wheel will have some play in it too when jacked up. Best to bring it in.. :D :D (at £100 p/hours). mine is making a noise has if something is stuck and is catching/Grinding on the disc when it goes round,:something like: Grind-----Grind-----Grind--- etcc (sound effect :P ). Notice it when it is moving stright or bends regardless at a slow speed, never hear it when at high speed, (might be cause of road noise). I don'nt want to spend money on fixing something that might not cure the problem..help figure this noise headach out please it is doing driving me crazy...
  14. Hi guys, was wondering if you can point me in the right direction please? Really need some good advise since the Mechanics tend to just fob it off and say the first thing that comes to mind cause they are not bothered to sit with you and drive to find out... :tsktsk: :tsktsk: Basically it is making a grinding noise from the Front Drivers wheel when moving, Sounds like something stuck inthe pads and its only intermittently when it pass's the pad. only heard when moving not jacked up and hand spinning the wheel. No play in the wheel whilst it was up too. I mechanic says its the pads, although have more than have left on them (OEM pads). the other says it is the Wheel bearing, and another says it is the wheels ball joint but not sure?? My bet is the Wheel Bearing but is there a way to confirm this please? i am getting confused ouch!! Any advise appreciated. Cheers Dibslpg :D
  15. the seem great, But like yourself i am intersted too. Only problem is the second link states might not be suitable for Japenese cars?? Will these fit into a Lexus IS 200?
  16. Cheers for the Update, Coil Pack. Been on to ebay and no luck finding a coil pack so rang the local dealers to get an idea of price and was shocked: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: £89.98 each + VAT and most likly i willneed all six . So anywhere else other than the stealers will be greatly appriciated please? Dibslpg. PM Chris.S on here.... but first be sure it is a faulty coil pack, better to get professional advice than to be changing parts that might be fine.... Cheers Noel, I will pm Chris.S and see what price he can give me. How do i go about checking which coil pack is faulty if it is at all the fault please? I had it hooked up to a Diagnostics pc (under dash plug) and nothing was listed. The pc read the car and no errors were reported :tsktsk: he also tried it under bonnet and the pc did not read anything at all (luckily he did not charge the £40) :D They are an Auto Electrical Specialist with Skylines and Evo's hooked up for re-mapping, etc.. so they are not a cowboy outfit. :duh: What the best way to test this out please besides going to the Stealers? Ordered the Spark Plugs from the US guy off ebay and he's shipped them today. I am replacing them first to see if it makes any diff. I miht clean up the Coil packs at the same time but not sure how too WD40? Great advise so far please keep it coming. Dibslpg

  18. Hi all, before you say the obvious, Yes I have gone through the search engine and yes I know I can buy it off ebay (US) guy. :D My question if which ones to use in combination with the LPG system? Having one would it be classed has a mod and thus requiring the other (sorry do not remember the type) rather than the standard SK20r11? Any good recommendations for the sparkplug Leads and from whom please? I might replace them too. Main problem I’m trying to cure is miss-fire from time to time & sometime the LPG system does not trip over and stall the car when I am accelerating to 3k rpm’s. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: I think these are linked to the sparkplug or leads. Hooked it up to diagnosis and nothing showed up. Only when he pulled it off the ramp that he noticed the misfire and came up with the theory that that’s what’s causing the prob. :winky: Any guidance greatly appreciated. :D :D Ps my Lexus is and SE Is200 – 99.
  19. With respect:- The Indian community have a landmark Temple just out side London (its was support by the Gov, planning, immigration (workers) tax breaks for materials etc.) and has become a major tourists attraction. The Buddhist’s have a major Temple somewhere near Scotland, which the national Lottery funded for a new roof and refurbishment also a major tourists attraction The Jewish temples are majority of them registered charity and thus have tax breaks, and grant funding eligible.+ a landmark sinacog in Leicester, support by the Gov and the national trust / heritage fund has it is a unique design etc.. we can go on and on, etc... Please carry out some research first before making broad remarks about a certain community;-
  20. Great guide mate, Very usfull.. the set-up looks brill. The gromet that you are talking about lives behind the battery or to one side of it, You should see other wires going in to so follow them in and stick your head in the pass-footwell and hope that you can spot it (tourch helps), If not use a thin stiff wire and feed it in.. Hope it helps.. I'm about to carry out the same set-up has yours so cheers.
  21. Once again said beautifully and fully agreed.. The main aim of any documentary is to have has menay viewing figures, so it makes perfect sense to show the extreme side and not the 99.9% of the normal mosques which have a very good reputation and work well in the community regardless of faiths. I know a few which have the local vicar attend the Friday prays and the Imam attends the Sunday services. This is the true teaching of Islam to have tolerance of others and to learn from each other. It good to talk / discuss and disband some of them stereotypical views generated by the media (who has lost its independence). History is a great teacher and not too far back the same views were been banded about regarding IRA and the Irish in Ireland when they started their bombings campaign of UK back in the 80-90’s they were classed as terrorist has well. So when the media hype puts a spot light on one minor issue thus portraying it has the norm it must be taken with a pinch of salt, and you must ask your self do I believe everything I see on the box or do I go to the local mosque and ask questions directory to make my own mind up..(Find out for your self happens to be a very important teaching from the Holy Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)) and has “Ice cube” or “Ice T” said once “don’t believe the hype”, I think Dibslpg
  22. Agreeded nasty back Bumper But i like the roof spoiler :D have any off you guys came across one and how much people?

  24. Will try that :winky: Just done the Aristo and am off to sunny Daventry tomorrow...........bet I'll be bugged up VEry Clean, mate, keeping it that way will be hard being white.. Best to use wet tissue paper and stick it to the front and leave it for half hour or so (polish them wheels) once left the damp tissue makes it easy to remove the bug, simply wipe off. Bets tip from a biker- getting them bug off the helmit vissor.. works a treat. Hope it helps Dibslpg
  25. [\quote] Dibs Thanks for the advice, well mine was service by the last owner only a few month before I brought the car and was fully checked even the omissions and had only required I part replaced(some electronic gadget) I have a record of its history and yes from when it was installed by the original owner I think he never bothered afterwards where as the previous owner did so was very happy that its all been done for me. I have a metal plate/tag just under the bonnet and it telling me my next major service (dunno what that means) is in 2011 and was serviced by calor gas. No probs mate, Sounds like you have a well maintained system, best to have it looked at at least every 2nd year to play it safe. :winky: Dibslpg
