  1. Paul I could not help but notice that you kindly offerred Craig a copy of your GS300 repair manual on CD. I have a Mitchell's version which I just cannot get to work with Windows XP. Is there any chance of you sending me a copy of the CD you have. I would be more than happy to reimburse you any costs. You are also welcome to a copy of the Mitchell's cd manual i have. Please PM me if you are able to help.
  2. Hi Steve Had same problem with mine. When I got my wheels had to buy a full set of wheel nuts, paid six quid a peice for the nuts. Nuts fitted OK and could just about get my Halfords wheel brace (bar type with sockets ) to fit. Nuts loosened in no time so had to buy a thin walled socket from Halfords with breaker bar to suit which solved problem. I do believe however that correct size nuts are available but my local dealer could not get hold of them.
  3. Craig I have just deposited a donation in your PayPal account. Hope it helps. Keith
  4. Hi Scorpion I have been looking for a decent window tinting company. Would you be able to let me have your mates details too. I am just outside Crodon so Carshalton would be a little closer than Portsmouth.
  5. You lucky bugger! I have been looking for a goodpair of 10" rears for a year now. Mind you cant complain as I got a set of mint standard sport wheels for silly money when I first got the car. What are you going to put the wheels on lexussport?
  6. May be the same ones. If I recall they got to £165, I did not really check to see whether the auction had been stopped.
  7. MAC PM me with a pic of the type of key you have and I will see if one of my spares is similar. If I have a similar one you can have it for the cost of a jiffy bag and first class post. Only prob is it will be plastic not metal as supplied with new centre wheel covers.
  8. I bought a set of wheelcentres a while ago and got two different types of plastic key. I may be able to offer one of my spares if you are stuck.
  9. Hi Craig I have been treating my seats for about 12 months since getting my car with Liquid Leather and fronts are very clean but still feel like cardboard. Rears are mint and are now beginning to soften. I may try your solution on the fronts.
  10. Well they fetched £315 in the end. I chickened out at £280 which I thought was a fair price for the good one of the two wheels. I am determined to get a pair though!! What did suprise me was that a set of four MK2 sport alloys went for £165.
  11. Craig I have a 1995 model and nolights flash when the alarm is armed. The only light that blinks is the red light on the dash. I can have a look at instructions in my manual if it will help.
  12. Is anyone on here bidding forthe 10" rear wheels currently on Ebay.
  13. When I was looking to buy I wnt to Lexus Bromley with reg details and they ran a check on service history of two cars I was interested in. Well worth doing as one car had clearly been 'clocked' and the other had just had £2K work done by Lexus Croydon (full service/cambelt/drivebelt/plugs/front balljoints/new discs all round/4 new tyres/brake fluid service etc). Mileage was verified from recorded service history. Needlessto say I bought the latter car. The only thing was they could not give me a printout because it would have the previous owners name and address on it.
  14. Be careful with theuseof Radweld it can foul small waterways. I have a Honda engined Rover V6 which I nearly killed using the stuff. I expect the Lexus straight six is ok.
  15. The Silver Seal stuff looks good. My GS is dark blue metallic. I am going to see if the guy who is going to do mine can finish it with Silver Seal
  16. Bit far for me to go for a 15 min valet Steve. I am in Kent. I'll post some pics when I get mine done. I can feela Mk1 GS owners meet coming on. There must be enough of us by now!!
  17. Craig If I remember correctly you got your bulbs from a US Ebay site. I am going to try them too, can you let me have the details. BRAKATK I have also got a strut brace from an Aristo TT which I am going to fit to my GS. Have you test fitted yoursyet as I found that Ineeded to elongate the bolt holes on the opposite side to where they have been elongated as standard. I will post some pics of mine when I have done it. Info on laquer was useful Paul but I willhave to use aerosols.
  18. Steve Where abouts is this American car wash you speak of. I hope to get mine prof polished and waxed this spring have been quoted £65 without any special treatments though.
  19. You guys must have some awesome ice in your motors. When I bought my Lex I was really impressed with the stereo system. What am I missing?
  20. Mine operates fine even with a broken case and the fact that I keep losing the battery as a result. Seriously though I find that when the battery is ok the remote willlock and unlock fromabout 20-25 feet or so.
  21. I read a short while ago members experiences with GPS sat nav kits for PDA's. I seem to recall big problem was with voice reproduction through poor speakers in the PDA's. Can someone advise me where I can find the posts or even what the best buy is at present. Any advice appreciated.
  22. Craig I am impressed with the finish you got using the lacquer. Whattype did you buy, whenever I use lacquer from an aerosol it always ends up patchy and milky looking.
