  1. eMJay If you find out about the silver finish on the gs300 wheels I would be interested to hear. It is not the stock finish which is graphite inner and diamond cut and polished face.
  2. Jaybo Are the horns you refer to a straight forward replacement. I have a pair of standard dual tone horns of an old Rover 800 which have a nice loud sounfd output (about 70dB) but could not get them to work even though they tested out ok before fitting. Do you have any pics or fitting info. I have also looked at 12v truck horns that have output in order of 120dB but they seem to require all sorts of rewiring and relays to fit.
  3. Nigel I have a set of Eibach's on my 96 Gs300 and they fitted with no problems. I got mine from TDI. Sounds like you may have wrong ones.
  4. More than likely. Got mine from a guy in Canada. Excellent srvice but he said I bought the last two. I have seen others for sale. I think the ones I have are from mid 90's to suit my mid 90's GS300
  5. Souinds a bit too fiddly for me. I have yet to pluck up courage and take out my amber indicator reflector lenses!! I do have a spare headlight with a big glass chip on the inside so may have a go on that. I f I can get the lens off perhaps I can evem get the glass repaired.
  6. Craig Thought 'angel eyes' were solely for bmw's. I would be interested in hearing how you fit them.
  7. Craig Definitely with badge. I replaced mine when I meshed my grille. I like the TRD badge, I have a couple myself but was not sure whether to fit them or not. I think the bottom right hand side is best. I think someone has already noted this in an earlier post.
  8. Like the wheels Steve, they look very similar to the Mk2 sport wheels or am I missing something. Just an aside I have been looking for a set of mudflaps. Did yours come with the car ? Do you know if they are standard Lexus?
  9. Hi Craig Grille looks just like mine, but I think the bigger mesh looks better, like on the sport grilles. I have had no problems with chipping as I used a specialist etch primer that body shops use for painting chrome. I do have difficulty with getting all the bugs out of the mesh though!!. Glad to hear the car is back. Keith
  10. Don't know about money Stu but would love to burn some rubber on some 10" rear wheels though!!
  11. Mudzs Is the standard rear brake light integral with the rear shelf or a separate fitting?
  12. I would like to fit a high level brakelight to my Mk1 GS300. I have a sport spoiler without brake light. Will the standard high level brake light fitted as standard to later Mk1 GS300's fit (mine's a 1995 model) and be visible through spoiler? Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  13. Hey 10" rears... I want some!!!! Still looking for a pair and am determined to get some. If anyone sniffs any out please , please let me know.
  14. Hi Tim Yes they are a bugger to remove. Best thing to do is to regularly remove and grease them so that they do not corrode. Unfortunately the only way to get a new removal tool is to buy a new centre cap for £26. Beware as there seem to be two types the useless recessed design and the alternative with three holes and key with corresponding studs. I posted some pics for another member who had problems in the LOC Members Gallery.
  15. Thanks Colin I have now established that HB3 and 9005 are same and similarly HB4 and 9006. I think the H3's are the foglamp bulbs. I would like some PIAA's but they are so pricey. Will have to make do with Phillips Blue Vision HID effect bulbs.
  16. Can someone confirm the references for replacement headlamp/foglamp/sidelight bulbs. I am confused as my handbook refers to HB3 and HB4 for headlamps, H3 for foglamps and wedge bulbs for sidelights. When I look on websites particularly for headlamp bulbs I see references as 9005 and 9006. Having replaced my damaged headlights I now want some brighter bulbs with that HID look! Many thanks
  17. Just replaced my damaged headlamp and bugger me the other side is now misting up! Has anyone any ideas as to how to stop the moisture getting in or let the moisture out. I vaguely recall reading a thread a while ago on this. I will try the hairdryer trick initially and monitor moisture intake. Any ideas/advice aprreciated
  18. Yes I am using XP Pro. Tried again and again and again.... no joy. Am able to get install screen but when screen goes black PC just does not respond any further. Tried interrogating through Windows Explorer but cannot figure out files to open. Did notice when registration screen appears I can get no further unless I type a fictitious name and reg no. otherwise I get no further. Any ideas or further advice would be appreciated.
  19. Sorry for late reply Paul/Colin That is the problem...cannot switch screens. Have just tried again, also emailed seller and have verified that I am going through correct loading procedure.
  20. That would be helpful Craig. Colin - how do you load the Mitchell's? I get as far as the screen going blank and then my system hangs. Does the same at every attempt. I sent CD's back to the Ebay seller I bought it from and replacement still would not load. I am using XP pro.
  21. Hi I recently bought an Ipaq 2210 with bluetooth GPS running CoPilot Live. Great peice of kit. Superb satelite pickup. I have it fitted in a Seido air vent mount with inbuilt speaker to amplify sound. The only slight problem is with the pronounciation of certain words such as "miles" which sounds like "millies", can be a bit annoying but you get used to it. Speed camera warnings are very usefull!!. If you are serious about buying and have read the excellent reviews on the Pocket GPS Forums wbsite you will not go far wrong by purchasing your kit from Chetan at Handnavtechnology.com, superb advice and service to match.
