  1. I only hope that Leon is there if its only Hew there is going to be an almighty bust up.
  2. Mark - sorry to hear of your recent bad experience of Profess. I have been contemplating where to get mine converted and my choices were Profess, Leeds LPG and Battersea Autogas. I am really tempted now to go to Battersea Autogas but got confused when they said when I enquired recently that they would use a Levato system and that I must have the flashlube fitted. I then registered with the LPG Forum and there seemed to be a difference of opinion with the flashlube. You have had a few cars converted over the years, in your view should i insist on a BRC system and forget the flashlube. I had the BRC system & it was fine, they insisted on fitting the flash lube & done it for free in the end, when it ran out I never refilled it. I found the customer service superb & they were very informative & enthusiastic. Systems have advanced over the years. Go and speak with them I am sure they will advise you on the best system for your car. I will be taking my toyota powervan to them. My better half is working directly opposite them at the moment & says they have bentlys & alike in there for conversion. My Lexus might end up in there if I don't get a satisfactory result at the weekend. As I will contact my card company to reverse the transaction if things go bad on Saturday.
  3. Washed the car today & there are light scratches on top of the wings where no protection has been used while working on it. I think i'm in for an argument on Saturday.
  4. With the belt & pump I would go original parts the labour sounds about right its a long job.
  5. So will I when they fix it, My conversion hasn't been that professional so far read my other posts.
  6. I will do, the problem is I am beholden to them due to the warranty otherwise I would take it somewhere else to get it sorted, they have broken my maf sensor casing not fitted the filler correctly & fitted a dodgy valve in the tank it worries me what other short cuts have been made, They had the car from 10 am Friday to 4pm Sunday called me in Saturday to collect it at 6pm phoned me at 5.50 to say I could collect on Sunday 4 pm. I was 10 mins away so went in as Hew said they would finish it then, when I turned up the job wasn't half done. I said I would go back to where I was staying 50 miles away & collect on Sunday as I didn't want the job rushed. Turned up Sunday & it still wasn't ready . Hew still Charged me for the gas in the loan car for the wasted journey & £100 more for the job than another member paid a couple of weeks previous on his 430 . The place was in chaos & it seems Hew doesn't give a damm. His knowledge of lpg regs is also lacking. I am hoping that Leon is a lot more professional & has got the place back in order.
  7. It was 4pm Sunday & the tank was full of gas, Hew wasn't supposed to be working & the boss was away. I am not that impressed with Hew I certainly wouldn't employ him. I have a toyota powervan that needs converting I think I will be going back to Battersea Autogas for that. A bit more expensive but it would have been cheaper for me on the lexus in hindsight with the 3 journeys to Wales. I would have had a BRC system aswell.
  8. Mark1 & 2 ucf 10 models not mark3 or 4 ucf20 mid 95 on.
  9. Ask about the Lap Top cable so you dont have to go down to have it serviced. Mike I have the lap top cable but they still want the car in for its 1000 mile callibration Was yours done remotely.?
  10. Hi the problem I have is Hew at profess new the component was faulty when I picked the car up & promised me it would be OK. Now it doesn't run on gas at all. The tank is full & I will have to make the 400 mile round trip this weekend to get it fixed & again next weekend for the 1000 mile callibration. Hew informed me today that they will only be able to look at it at 4pm Saturday earliest & they will be closed on Sunday. He should not have let it go out knowing it was faulty.
  11. Have to go for the 1000 mile calibration aswell so should be just about on it by the time I get down there.
  12. Hi the gauge read nothing the problem is the gas switched off after 200 miles because it thinks the tank is empty with 43 litres left in the tank. It will only run on petrol & not switch back to gas. I'm sure they will sort it out. It runs great on the gas but a 41 litre fill is no good to me in a 95 litre tank. Leon has booked me in for sat week & thinks the float is stuck so a new valve will sort it.
  13. My last 400, I had converted to gas a brc system no problems in 5 years I saved £8000 in fuel. I have had problems with this one on day 2, I stated it this morning & it cut out tried again & it cut out, Switched off the lpg & it started straight away on petrol. It was trying to start on gas (a set up problem) I switched it over to gas when it was warm only to have the lights on the switch flashing & it didn't switch over to gas.the lights were saying it was out of gas 84 litres in 200 miles !!. I filled it up on the way home from work 41 litres ( it seems the multivalve in the tank may have been installed upside down). The boss from profess Leon was on holiday while my conversion was carried out & it seems standards may have slipped. Or too many conversions were booked in & not enough bods to do them. I left the car with them Friday 10 am & collected Sunday 4 pm. I will be taking it back for them to sort it out. Its a shame as I haven't seen any bad reports about profess i will keep you posted as things develop.
  14. Well I took the plunge & got this one done at profess in Cardiff. They have done a neat job & it ran perfect for the 200 mile trip home, Seems to be every bit as good a kit as the BRC I had on my last LS. £1200+ VAT with a life time warranty. I will keep you updated on the economy ect over the next few weeks. Went for a 680 x 30 doughnut in the spare wheel well 94 litres which gave an 84 litre fill.
  15. Hi there is an oil filter panel inside the near side wheel arch 2 or 3 10mm bolts.
  16. If your car is all good & you are happy with it why change to the unknown ( there could be problems with the gold one hence the reason he wants to change).
  17. Personally I would rather buy a car off someone with the skills & the tools, As you can be reasonably sure that the car has been looked after. If you keep the bills for the parts & document the services & repairs it shouldn't be a problem when coming to sell.
  18. 1 day auction as well so no chance to view, Smells of something with a long tail to me.
  19. Boris has announced Lexus & outher luxury brands will be banned from Londons low emission zone as of this time next year, In an attempt to make the air cleaner to cycle in.
  20. Depends how short the journeys are if I was to drive to Barking from Ilford about 2 miles from cold really stop start all the way 13 mpg would be right. If its normal town traffic Around 20 to 25 mpg depending on how you drive.
  21. I asked some more direct questions, Does the motor run smooth any Knocks when driving is the gearbox smooth. Reply was we have no technical knowledge had the car since 2005 & has always run. Bit evasive me thinks.
