  1. dynamat makes the most noticable difference.. its almost like putting a new set of speakers in.
  2. i find traction control off, snow mode on and with all the weight in my boot i get on ok, at sensible speeds..
  3. it could be poor soldering giving a poor connection.. it could also be the way they are mounted.. its difficult to tell on the pic but the mounting ring should be flush and effectively 'seal' to the door. it helps to use some kind of membrane between the door and mounting ring. Draught excluder, silicone sealer (one left to set), or similar can work well.
  4. its also worth checking the door switches.. doo your interior lights come work when you open the doors??

have you tried ringing round the dealers and seeing what they have in stock?? if its in stock chances are you can make em an offer.. i picked up the front lip for £100 after negotiating..
  6. google says chance of Snow!!
  7. mate the point is simple your saying to everyone dont declare your mods.. as said before, thats just plain stupid. you opened yourself up for abuse with that one. all it does is make it more expensive for those of us that do declare and pay insurance. The attitude youve taken is exactly why some companies wont insure young drivers and why they are probably stinging you for mods. and as for posting that on a public forum thats even more silly.. who knows who may be reading..
  8. it stops the hot air form the rad getting back into the cold air intake.. in theory
  9. churchill & direct line didnt charge me for mods. alloys are standard so if you declare them and the value it shoudlnt make a diff as they are cheaper to replace than oem. factory bodytkits are also a dealer option so never had to pay for one..
  10. autosol and newspaper all the wat through, bit of elbow grease but thats all.. somthing in the paper helps the process and to shiny it up.. vinegar and newspaper on the glass works a treat too.. although dont use your household brown malt vinegar or will stink! bitof lemon on the inside too helps stop misting..
  11. auto sol.. apply and polish it with news paper!! an old bodyshop trick.. all the bikers do it this way too, helps keep the shine longer..
  12. So basically commit insurance fraud?? ins companies are not that stupid..
  13. oops, meant HKS Dragger II.. must have been my excitement. lol
  14. After the 'events' of last week i have something to finally cheer me up.. i managed to pick up a front armrest for $88 inc shipping!! it needed the two circular covers form the front but using wozza's part list (cheers mate) i managed to get em from Lexus nottingham for £15.. so all in its cost me £85!! credit must go to Stav (cheers mate) for letting me know where he got his from Another tip is to use USPS, (cheers again stav) who were half the price of all the other shipping costs! you may also notice a shiny thing on the right.. yes its the controversial 'you must start your own group but or it will delay our shiny rings' LCD clock panel!! cheers to mr mole for sorting me out.. the only down side is that i would have had a nearly new HKS Hiper Max II for £220 if i hadnt decided to go for the veilside which was ''sold' behind my back.. will be going in on Saturday..
  15. anybody else?? didnt Gord say wozza was Comin? havent seen him on here a while..
  16. its daybrook wheels mate, not used em myself so cant vouch for em but did a decent job on the ones i saw.. might have to dog out the number though..
  17. hey yeah that is the guy i was looking at, about how long do they take to start up? few seconds from start..
  18. sounds like the amp is cutting out.. either due to not enough power, impedance too low/high overheating.. what amp is it??
  19. theres a place in notts that can do em for £35 / £50 per wheel..
  20. i paid £250 for the whole kit painted and fitted.. that was with 2nd hand sides and rear that needed a lot of prep..
  21. i bought these.. 250361087377 a bit slow on start up but other than that they are fine.. none will be a perfect fit but had mine for a while now with no problem. When they arrived i had two right hand side sets, i notified the seller and he just sent me left hand set without any q's and didnt ask for the old one back..
  22. hmmm... im also trying to decide between coilovers and springs.. wnat to drop a bit lower but dont want the ride to suffer.. i also have a lot of weight in the boot form subs etc..
