  1. Well guys, What a top night. Wish I could have stayed longer, but like Si, my pass was running out. Got back before 11 though, so will be allowed out again :P Just wish my other half showed as much enthusiasm as Johnny's other half! Nice to meet some new faces: Playa, Alex, Matt, Zee. Thanks for the ride Zee, It has given me more food for thought . Alex, your exhuasts look great, and what a sound <_< I was following you into Nottingham, and could hear them even with my windows closed. Ifraz, the grill looked great. Once that spoiler is on and the wheels sorted, you will have one tidy car :D
  2. Gordon, Any thoughts on what make of springs? I was thinking about Eibach or HKS, but am open to suggestions. Ideally would like TTE coilovers after sampling Andy Hart's, but the budget will not stretch at the mo if I undertake engine mods!
  3. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o Certainly something different.
  4. Zee Put me down for a 50/50. I will try to make it, particularly as I want to check out your induction kit and Hyper Muffler. :o Gus
  5. Count me in. I'll have two sets. How difficult are they to fit?
  6. 2005 I'm told by my dealer. No pictures or other details yet I'm afraid. :(
  7. Enjoyed the day, and it was great meeting you all. Thanks for the ride in your motor Andy. The TTE Coilover set has got me thinking. A cost effective and worthwhile mod I think. Rod's pictures are great, and I hope to see your pictures of the Ferarri, Si and Johnny. It was certainly one of the talking points of the day!
  8. Ifraz Trowell will take me between one and a quarter to one and a half hours. I reckon to aim for about 9.15 to 9.30 am, but don't mind when. I'll fit in. :D
  9. 10 am at Donnington sounds ok to me. Anyone driving down from the North? I'll be coming M62, M18, then joining M1 at Sheffield. Could meet up with anyone at Woodall Services or Trowell, and cruise down to Donnington services. Otherwise, I'll just have to travel on my own!
  10. Thanx for the advice Rob. I personally think the chrome grilles lift the Exmoor interior. However £500 a door is taking the **** I think. I will keep an eye on the salvage yards.
  11. Does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of the front chrome speaker grilles on their own, as fitted to the latest IS models? My local dealer doesn't know, and thinks that a whole front door panel would have to be brought at £500 ish. My existing grilles are the plain black ones of the 2001 model without the bar across them that was fitted to earlier models.
  12. Mat, Thanks for the link, especially as there are lots of other TRD goodies to look at. :D Gus
  13. Was at my local dealer yesterday (Lexus Hull) asking about the slim rear spoiler for the IS200 Sport. Told the same story as another member in a recent forum, that the spoiler is only available for Sport models! Whilst I was there I was given the keys to go and take an IS300 for a spin. V. nice indeed :D and it was fitted with the mesh grille I want to buy. The badge on the grille just said "Sport", which I thought was pretty pointless. Anyone any ideas on a suitable badge? I was thinking of a TRD one, but my browser can't seem to find a link. Any ideas/links greatfully received. Hope to see some of you at Donnington. Gus
  14. I used this company some 10 years ago when they did deep bumpers for Mark 2 Golf GTI's. Whilst I got what I wanted, I was never that impressed with the quality, and the fit wasn't that good either. Never used them again and neither did any of my GTI owning mates. :(
  15. I would be interested, but it would be towards the end of April when I am ready to buy. I intend to sort out the exhaust system at the same time. One query I do have is, do I have to have the ECU reprogrammed so that it won't compensate for the extra airflow, and hence provide no performance increase? Any advice greatfully received. Gus
