  1. I beat you all @ 35!!!!! How can all you babies afford brand new Lexiiiii? :duh:
  2. Thanks Johnny-boy, Have ordered the philips silver/orange bulbs for the rear indicators, but I can't find anyone who does the same bulb for the front, cause its a "push-in" type, not a push & twist like the rears. If anyone reading this knows where I can buy some, please PM me. THANKS... :duh:
  3. It may be an idea to test for the hand brake wire at the nav ecu. Some systems only let you input data when your parked with the hand brake on. Not sure what colour it would be, but should go negative when brake is on.....
  4. Yeah, The last thing you need is some woman tellin' you you've gone the wrong way :D
  5. The GREEN/ORANGE out of the alarm, gives a POSITIVE output when the system is armed. This is the same wire that switches on the microwave sensor inside the interior light. It only has a low current rating, so use it to trigger a relay first...
  6. Really sorry to see your car in such a state... Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle!!!... GOOD LUCK.
  7. I was speaking to a guy called Paul McNeil today. He happens to be the top boffin at Sound-linx (the company that develops audio and video interfaces). He tells me that they are currently working on an interface for the IS200 stock sound system, which will be able to link an RF based 10 disc DVD player to work through the cars original amplifier and speakers, and display the picture on the navigation screen. Its still in its early stages yet, but for those of you with navi screens, its something to look forward too !!!... (no price yet) :D
  8. Cheers Dude, Might try that!!!....
  9. Can't you get hold of a current European CD ROM for the unit you have????
  10. Where can you get these modified wheel arch liners? I'm running 19's, but on full lock they lightly scrape the stock liner.
  11. I got my IS200 last October. The first thing I did to it was lower the ride hight. I dropped mine 40mm front & rear using APEX springs only. No problems with bottoming out or catching the bodykit.
  12. The speed pulse wire for the LX is WHITE/VIOLET. Hope this helps.
  13. Sounds like an aerial problem guys. You could try checking the antenna is screwed on tightly, and that the threads are not corroded. If these are ok, you may want to check that the amplifier, in the base of the aerial, has got a 12v supply to it. This can be done by removing the nearside rear "D"pillar panel, there you can locate the aerial trigger wire(BLACK WIRE) where it runs up to the aerial. Probe it with a multimeter or test probe, and it should read 12volts when the radio is switched on. Hope this is some help ! :hocus-pokus:
  14. Finding myself having little to do on Sunday, I decided to follow "SUPRACHARGED's" advice on stripping down the headlights on my IS200, and removing the orange lense from the indicator.(workshop forum). I must admit, I didn't think it would be quite as difficult as it was!, although the front end looks much better with clear lenses, now, than it did before. HAS ANYONE ELSE DONE THIS MODIFICATION, AND IF SO, HOW DID YOU FIND IT? (Have ordered IS300 amber bulbs from Lexus Teeside which should come in the morning)
  15. It's a SIGMA kit, which will raise 4 windows on arming the alarm.
  16. THANKS Supracharged, I will if you don't mind! :D
  17. Fitting a shoter mast, on the base of your already amplified aeriel, will most certainly reduce its performance. However, you can fit an "aerial booster" in the aeriel line, which has a seperate amplified supply wire. These can be bought from any good car audio dealer, or even from the likes of Halfords, at about £12. Tust me- I work for the largest car audio & security company in the UK. :D
  18. duncan.mis@btinternet.comHi all, I'm a new member to this club, and have a question for any smart **** who thinks he has the answers!(it's just that you all seem pretty clued-up on ya' motors). 1, First of all, does anyone know where abouts the alarm module is situated? 2, Is there a "negative when armed" accessory wire? 3, If so, what colour is the wire? These questions refer to the factory fit system, on mine and your IS200. The reason i ask, is that i want to add "window lifters" to the system, but this requires a switched negative output from the alarm when it is armed. If no-one can help, has anyone got, or knows where to find, a diagram for the system?
