  1. Hi i have had my 250 se-l auto for 18 months and i agree with a lot of what has been said so far. i love the smoothness of the engine and gearbox combo, and it is the most comfortable car i have ever had, until you flick the power switch, and start using the paddles and drive it like you stole it, then it is a totally different car and throws itself into the corners with vigour and no wallowing or squirming lol. i do have to say that the earlier models (the ones 2005 to about 2009, which are the ones you would be able to pick up for around 12k) do rattle horrendously. I was shocked at how much mine started rattling and it does annoy me intensely, but the only problem i have had with it is the rattling so overall i count myself lucky. the few later models that i have had as courtesy cars have been a lot better and didn't seem to have the rattle problems that mine does. all in all, i would still recommend the IS. i don't struggle to carry 4 or 5 adults in mine, with luggage, and the economy is nt that bad - i get around 29 to 30mpg around town and anywhere from 34 to 40mpg if i include motorway mileage. if you can put up with the rattling then i am sure you will be as happy with yours as i have been so far with mine. try to make sure you get an se-l with multimedia and you will be getting thousands of pounds worth of kit standard that you won't get in the german rivals. regards
  2. sounds good to me if i'm around at the time :)
  3. i don't have a keyring on mine. the one supplied with the car was bigger than the actual key fob, and when in my pocket made me look like i was happy to see everyone lol.
  4. if you have it, then you will have the same number of buttons on the right side of the steering wheel as you do on the left (where the mode button is on the left)and also the badge on the front of the grille is larger and not the standard chrome effect. hope this helps. mine doesn't have it as i couldn't be bothered to wait for one to become available as they are not as common.
  5. Howzit Howzit welcome to the club. i'm on my second lex now and couldn't be happier. mooi bly

  7. Conservative all the way! tired of being lied to and screwed by the current lot lol
  8. hi welcome and congratulations. i have had my se-l for a year now and it still floats my boat every time i drive it i also never hear the exhaust on mine, just the engine, and only when i floor it and unleash the beast. otherwise the only sign i have that the engine is running is the rev counter :P . as for the voice commands, the only time i really use them is when i'm showing off the car to someone, and tell it to set the temperature. i find that my south african accent confuses it a little, and the controls on the steering wheel and touch screen are so simple to use that i don't ever really think about the voice commands enjoy and well done again on a great choice of wheels B)
  9. wishes he could invent a forcefield that keeps the car clean when it rains!
