    hay janey...... Im still here , not as regular as id like but still none the less. Still got my IS200, wouldnt ant to get rid of her now, Im busy doing a lot of charity work for children, and with my normal day to day job , its just trying to find spare time...

    those look awsum Ejan :D i was wandering if INOVIT SPARKLE 9 X 18 ( REARS ) 265/35/18 INOVIT SPARKLE 8 X 18 ( FRONTS )235/40/18 would these sizes fit ok on my is200 , shes not lowered yet ????? or should i stay with 4 X 225/40/18 ?

    lexynik mines is manual and deckie77 yes trailer has breaks, not sure on total weight ill have to check .

    lol yeh i was thinking about a we jeep to run around in , but my 2000 lex has only got 62`000 miles on her, all proven. , look like back to nagging the wife lol .. oh dear thats not gonna end well lol

    Just wandering , how many people have them on there is200`s and what do you tow, and whats the weight these cars will tow.. you see me and my mucker bought a speed boat to mess about with in the summer.. ( ) , but at the moment my mate tows it with his 110. the problem i have is if hes away offroading i cant go boating :( , and the wife will not let me buy a rangey you know how it is....

    ive re-checked all the ball joints and caliper but what i have noticed that i never noticed before was that there is no locating screw for the discs. :o and you can jiggle the disc slightly back and forth,,surley that cant right...and if it is then why do i only here the creaking and knocking on the drivers side when breaking to or rolling to a slow stop..??? any ideas....

    yeh this is a crazy one , replaced all disc and pads, began to get slight noise only hear it when rolling to a stop, its like a warped disc drivers side, checked it all ..seems fine. But the damn noise is still there, all ball joint have been replaced all seems a bit :doggy:

    right guys i understand that this may be caused due to an oil leak but engine is dry , alt is kicking out 16.5 wae to high, car will not start off key , but did jump start, does anyone know if you can just change the regulator if so where can i get it and how much , or do i go for a new alt. ...shock horror price im getting fed up driving the oldmans 940

    Maybe the belt just needs to be adjusted or tightened. Belts stretch and get a little lose over time, if you cannot adjust it anymore, you can put some soap (dry) on the belt. It will stop the squeak for a few weeks. Unfortunatly due to the adverse cold weather were having at the moment it doesnt help......on the other hand my alternator is about to pack in ,,,,car starts with a jump , also my battery has a full charge :( relegated to driving the old mans volvo 940 over the holidays :(

    The OEM unit does not have a code, so there's no worry on that front. cherrs kam helps a lot , looks like its a busy wet wknd 4 me

    think I'd have to do a buy it now if I put it on eBay ! have a look and see what there selling for on fleabay and make a reserve price there people out there that will buy it even if its just for repairs,, good luck

    It makes a big difference , theres a number on the front of the stereo, i think you can only fit like for like , i may be wrong , but i had to get another one , i bought it for £189 from ebay, but there are others on there selling upwards of £200 sell it on here give the lads a chance before you wack it on ebay, goodluck if anyone can shed somelight on wether you need a code when replacing said stereos that would be helpfull , i dont want to rip out dash and find out it needs one . much appreciated sorry for piggy backing your post eddieblock

    sorry to hear that mate , but it looks like its a dreaded error 3 coming up soon , prepare for it , your gonna need a new one , but how ever if you do come across one good luck , make sure it has the same number on the front as what yours does, could be 19303 or something like that , i may be wrong but i think you can only swap like for like , but on the back of this question will you need the code for the new one ? only asking as i have the same problem , i just dont want to strip the dash out and replace the stereo only to find out it needs a code , cany anyone shed light on that ??? please?

    yeh sorry mate time to start looking for a new one , want be long before the dreaded ERROR 3 code comes up , im swapping mine over tomorrow, good luck in finding one that works , took me 8 months , wanted to keep the original in the dash .couldnt find an after market one i like

    54`356 miles on an X plate , all MOTs to back it up , love it when the first owner is an old biddie using it for a shopping trolley ,and since i use the works van im sure i can keep the miles low. do i have the lowest miles on an older IS. ? SCRATCH THAT I JUST saw Lexus Stereo`s miles :( always next year :L

    ***** its a high milage ( Mileage: 106182 ) also ive got a x plate and its not even done 60000 yet -okayokay it was an old biddy that used it for the tesco run before i had it , and the fact i use the works van all the time ...oright thats y ,,,silly me lol
