  1. The independent dealer I bought my RX400h from took out a warranty, which gladly I never had to use.
  2. This is possibly down to the individual dealer. I received a follow-up call after buying my used Lexus. Not sure if Lexus UK ask for feedback?
  3. Joking all aside - drive over a very rough road to try and dislodge whatever might be there. Failing that it looks like a door card removal. Others may have better suggestions.
  4. I have not been disappointed by the change to the NX. The big difference you will notice is the tech available. Reasonable Road Fund License (£155) can't comment on economy yet. A firmer ride than my RX400h but not uncomfortable - though not in the same league as the LS400!
  5. I have that hurdle to cross at some point! Is the App a subscription or just another tool to use?
  6. Did not notice any undue reflections. Can anyone take a photo of the offending trim? My trim is not silver, more grey in colour, not sure if that may be a difference to other models/years?
  7. The sales executives from my dealership have been to Spain (?) for a preview of the new RX models including the RZ. So surely they cab't be long in coming? The RZ sounds a very interesting model but the range is going to be modest compared with rivals. However there is a good warranty on the battery due to be annonced
  8. Not driven it yet John! Carol has hogged it! I will take it out later to get fuel, as it is sunny will let you know!
  9. Yes, that will be high! Mainly because they have to supply a warranty. There is a lot to go wrong on a Lexus.......... but as we know, they are fairly reliable even over 10 years old. My aim was to give a heads-up of a car that I considered to be a good one.
  10. I have traded-in my RX400h recently, so it may come to the market through Ebay / AutoTrader with a dealer soon. I can recommend this car as a above average condition. If you see this registration for sale and you are interested in buying, you are more than welcome to PM me for more details on this car. RX400h reg: GV08 HPN 63,000 miles.
  11. This is the first time I have experienced a car purchase handover from a Lexus Dealership. The sales executive, Hardeep, was there to greet us at the appointed time. He went through all the paperwork carefully without rushing. As much admin is done electronically, the use of a big screen was a very useful feature. We had the obligatory coffee and biscuits! My wife and I were then taken into the “Handover” room. On the table were a selection of goodies that were presented to us. Hardeep then asked if we would like to now see our car. At the flick of a switch, it appeared like magic! (see below) Please appreciate we were not buying a brand new car but the experience felt like it! Hardeep showed us round the NX and explained the main controls and how the car differed from our previous RX. He then demonstrated the infotainment system – a lot to take in! He took our i-phones and connected each one to the car. The important thing he stressed was that if we were in any doubt or difficulty with the controls we could contact him and he would go through it. I have bought other makes from dealers in the past but none matched this experience. Hardeep knows his product and is an excellent advocate for the Lexus brand. Many, so called, sales executives could learn a great deal about customer care from Hardeep at Lexus Canterbury. I also realise you pay a premium but for peace of mind, it is worth it as far as I am concerned. Thank you Hardeep! You are a star! I expect quite a few of you on here have experienced similar when buying your new Lexus cars. It did make the day quite special. So what is Part 3? Well, that will be when I experience the service department or have any issues with the NX. I will post a review when I have had the car a few weeks. Apart from memory seats, it has all the features of my old RX and of course more tech. I feel we have made the right choice, so far! IMG_5684.MOV
  12. I had the choice between an RX450h L (seven seat long wheelbase) and the NX300h. I loved the boot space in the RX and the overall quality. As Paul says, it was the wife that finally made the choice due to size. With the Premium pack, the NX had all the features I would need and more. I seriously considered an electric car but reading various posts on the subject I decided to play safe. I basically did not want to give up the quality and reliability I have become accustomed. It will be interesting to compare my RX 400h with the NX.
  13. A Soarer AND LS 400! Wow! Why would you not get another Soarer? Age issues?
  14. Mesa red I presume ? So clean it is very difficult to tell how old the car is! Looks super.
  15. I find the search facility on the site difficult to use. Google finds it easier!
  16. It will be fine Kieran! We are meeting at 2 am!
  17. M25 circuit then up the A1 sounds good. Meet at large service area on M25 / M4 - NOT Cobham! Will this be open to ALL models of Lexus? If so I would be up for it!
  18. Even well looked after Lexus cars can go wrong! So pleased the ussue is sorted for you Rayaans.
  19. I just love the style of the Soarer - it is drop dead gorgeous!
  20. Fully agree. Many strange electrical issues occur when the 12Volt battery is on its way out or nearly flat.
