  1. Excellent! We want to see a photo of a smiling greyhound in the back!
  2. I would just be gutted for you if your dream car turned out to be a small nightmare.
  3. I agree this seems to be a trend but I would rather travel and reject a car than get one and have a load of hustle trying to sort out issues - especially at a distance. Buying from a Lexus franchise (blind) is about as good as you get or possibly Cazoo?
  4. Just my personal opinion - I would be reluctant to buy a car without first seeing it, used anyway. If you do buy "blind" then a Lexus dealer will be about the best you can get.
  5. Very sorry to hear about your accident. As long as you and the family are uninjured, that is the main thing Gang. Have they written the Tesla off? Thank you also for the buggy advicem as I am hoping to be a granddad one day!
  6. Very interesting videos. I came across a RAD bike that can carry two people, at what looked a very good price. Unfortunately they do not have any retailers, so back-up service is down to you. Apparently bike shops are not keen on servicing them (?)
  7. No! That would have killed me! Having not ridden for a while and being able to travel so far without crippling my body was a revelation. As I have said above, very little of the journey is on roads. It is a very safe route along the coast. I would be more than happy to take children on the route. In another part of the country, Consett to Sunderland, is a fantastic bike journey - all off-road.
  8. For the majority of the journey it is off-road. Whitstable to Canterbury you go via the old train track now called The Crab and Winkle Way. The National Cycle Routes use as much off-road tracks as possible. I believe around the East Kent coast is National Route 1 (?)
  9. Tesla https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07DRJLK47/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Be patient and wait. Marry in haste, repent in leisure!
  11. I would highly recommend this camera. I film urban foxes with it. I think it is excellent value AND you can film underwater! It can be controlled remotely from a tablet. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07DRJLK47/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  12. I can see the appeal of electric bikes. I travelled from Ramsgate to Whitstable and then on to Canterbury on an e-bike, having not ridden for some time. Great to get out in the fresh air but I would hesitate to call it real exercise. Powered mountain bikes can take you to some exciting places I imagine. Any videos? Do you have a Go-Pro type camera?
  13. Do you have a Karcher type pressure washer? Karcher do a rotating brush that fits onto the lance. Unless you are very short (I am 5ft 8") it will easily reach all parts of the roof. Many on here would not wish to use a brush on their paintwork but I have had no issues.
  14. That is interesting as I do not have my head against the headrest while driving. What do others do?
  15. I understand what you mean by the sloping back. My Labrador is never keen on going in a car anyway. What breed of dog do you have Phil? A friend of mine had TWO Great Danes - he ended up buying a VW Transporter - for the dogs!
  16. Auxiliary battery can cause so many issues when it is not fully charged. First thing to check in future for any electrical issues.
  17. I am very wary about listening to car reviews. The best review you can get is from an owner who has had the car at least for 6 months. See which dealers will offer you an extended test drive. Should be easier after the end of June. Gives you time to research more.
  18. Well I am not excluded and I do not have either car! I fully appreciate your concern over the 3.5 V6 vs 2.5 four pot. After watching your excellent video on your GS 450h I see that in London you do not get the full use out of the power. My thoughts, in your position, would not be about power but comfort. Will a ES 300h be as comfortable as your present GS? Will it have the space you need for the family? Will you enjoy driving the ES as much as the GS (not because it is newer)? Will how the car looks on the drive sway my feelings? Will the extra cost implications make it worth the change? If / when I change my RX400h, I will either go for a RX 450h or a NX 300h - I too will be in a similar dilemma. Have you had a test drive of the ES300h? Ask for an extended test drive over say a 24 or 48 hour period. You can then compare each car directly by driving over the same route. Just my thoughts Nick.
