  1. For me it would depend on, how much I bought the car for, how long I have had the car and its overall condition and mileage. I would consider taking it to a specialist independent - I believe Roy of the Rovers has a list of garages recommended by members. Give him a PM, but I am sure he will see this post!
  2. Reading your comments it makes me feel very privileged to be owning my LS 400 - even after a hefty MOT bill.
  3. It will be interesting to see the next motoring revolution take hold, which could bring in new players like Tesla. Servicing will be dramatically different and should be much cheaper.
  4. I thought they were selling an Lexus i-pad? Apart from the electric folding seats, there was not much about the car itself. Suppose we will have to wait for Saturday - Tomorrow! One more BIG sleep! Am I excited? Not as much as Christmas!
  5. I am in the same "boat" as Malc, as I do not have a warranty as I run older cars. There is a heart-in-your-mouth feeling when you read on the forum about what has been done under warranty and the cost!
  6. I think that could go for any premium make. I would be put off if the repair bill is excessive. Then I would probably switch to a Toyota model.
  7. The video kept stopping for me but I hope you are correct Herbie - that would be a good outcome! Can you "capture" a sample of the fluid? See what it looks like / feels like?
  8. Don't panic - see what they say. If you have used them for some time they should give you an honest assessment.
  9. Anything like this is a worry. I would get the service done at Lexus - get them to diagnose the issue and cost and then consider an independent if it is going to be very expensive. I presume you have always had your car serviced by Lexus?
  10. I believe it can take longer that's all - possibly this has changed. Someone I heard had to wait two weeks.
  11. If it was that good all the body shops would buy up all the supplies! If it looks too good to be true ... it probably is!
  12. I good independent locksmith will programme you one much cheaper than Lexus c.£150. Unfortunately you live the other side of the country, otherwise I could recommend a good one in Kent.
  13. Lexus dealer is the best option and cost wise is very competitive. That was the consensus of opinion when I bought my battery.
  14. Photos please Terry? We LOVE photos!
  15. Thank you for the link. At 3.31 I saw a model I used to own - NSU Prinz! That brought back happy memories.
  16. This thread Alan might also be of interest to you.
  17. Very frustrating. Change of brake pads and / or discs may be an option but expensive if it does not cure the issue. Keep us informed what you do next.
  18. Looks like you have made your decision - hope it works out for you. Personally I need to fit a roof boot, but I will not be buying a car with a pan roof just to be on the safe side.
  19. Lexus, I believe, don't recommend fitting a roof box.
  20. Try a breakers for a second hand one. Not sure if it is worth the expense at a Lexus dealers.
