  1. I did have the screws between the 111 but took them out after the 2nd stop. Might put them back soon, i also have some little plastic flys that can be stuck on instead of the bolts
  2. Hiya I have been tugged twice in the past 5 years for my plate. Both times ive had to put the properly spaced plates on and take the car to a testing station and get the ticket stamped, as well as paying a £30 fixed penalty. Plate should read N111 OSS I have it reading N 111OSS (my name is N MOSS) Hampshire police sometimes have a blitz on plates -------- suppose I have been lucky over the years.
  3. Contact the council mate They might even pay for the repairs
  4. Check to see if you have power at the plug where the pad plugs in. If yes then I would seriously suspect the pad
  5. Wozza They are the Mutts If you know of anyone that wants to get rid of theirs, please give me a shout Regards Nick
  6. I'm sure the lads at WIM said that 35psi all round is the better pressure. I stand corrected if I am wrong.
  7. Take a trip to WIM mate Get them to check it over and have an alignment check at the same time You will not regret it
  8. If you're lucky Nick it's the batteries in the fobs (likely if it affected the starting as well), but I had to change the receiver in the car for the same symptoms about 6 months ago. The fault was intermittent until one day the remotes refused to operate and had to use the keys manuallyl. Cheers Tango Lets just hope it is the batteries That receiver sounds as if I may need another mortage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. By the way Stav Would I have to re-programme the keys once I have changed the batteries.
  10. Good Evening All My missus had a problem this morning when she went to use her key fob to unlock the car........... it would not work at all ...... not even to open the boot. She got my set of keys but alas the same thing happened. After about 5 mins of pushing all of the buttons and a few choice words no doubt, .......it finally unlocked and away she went. At first I thought of the batteries may need changing, but for both key fobs to go at the same time, highly unlikely!!!! About a week ago I was sat in the car with the key in the ignition (engine not running) listening to the radio, when I went to start it just kept turning over and over. After a couple of attempts, away she went with no further problems. I think I will change both fob batteries as a matter of course as I really cant remember if I have changed them since I got the car about 3 years ago. Other than that has anybody got any ideas as to where I should be looking or just take it as a blip. Many Thanks in anticipation Nick

  14. Would imagine as per usual, thats to stick a pin or needle into the jet hole and move it to where you want the stream to hit the screen.
  15. Questions have been answered on the General Discussion Forum (Lightbrow Potential Safety Hazard post).
  16. First of all, I totally agree with Rob's Lexx comments regarding the importance of these forums. The wealth of knowledge, experience and advise that members share can only be described as admirable. Unfortunately there are people that appear to be just legends in their own minds who judge, form opinions and condemn people at the drop of a hat. A number of questions have been asked and I will answer all but one. I am not going to divulge the name or names of who supplied the LED strips. I believe a witch hunt was formed regarding this incident and I will not be a party to it. I was the individual that installed the strips. They were fitted in parallel into the sidelight circuit using crimped butt connectors and they were not individually fused as I thought that the sidelight fuse would be sufficient. The strips were mounted on top of the headlamp units using double sided tape. They were sealed around the back and sides using a clear silicon. At the time the lights were in Auto mode. The car was started in preperation to move it to another ramp. Immediately smoke was spotted coming from the offside headlamp area. The ignition was turned off, the door and bonnet opened. I found that the strip was slowly burning along its length from the supply end (somewhat like a fuse would do on a stick of dynamite) but with only a dull red glow. I immediately pulled the wires from the strip. There was no damage to the wires from where it was connected into the sidelight circuit to where it entered the strip. There was no sign of the wires touching anything and causing it to short out. These lights have been fitted to my car since February. They were turned on all the time the car was used. Perhaps the corner of the bonnet was slowly damaging part of the strip when it was closed on the many occasions prior to the incident. Of course, the strip itself could have been supplied faulty, but I doubt that considering the time span from when they were installed. I know one thing for sure and that is I will be fitting another set to my car very soon. Perhaps now with all the facts at hand, certain people can pass their opinion/judgement on me or my installation tecniques. I only found out yesterday , whilst I was at work that this actual post was running. Previously I was logging onto the LOC and monitoring my original post about my visit to WIM. I feel I have said enough.
  17. Thankyou all for your concern about my car. I can assure you that I am ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think it would be fair if I told you all who I purchased the lights from. I'm sure he will be in contact very soon. They were fiited correctly into the side light circuit but certainly not with scotch locks. No idea what so ever as to why they failed, will just have to put it down as one of lifes little gems eh !!
  18. OK lads. Nice one. Must admit it did give me a bit of a fright ...... and I bet Dr. Bones had a squeeky bum moment thinking his new premises was going to be up in smoke too.
  19. Made a visit to Tony's premises yesterday (5/6/08) and all I can say to anyone who is thinking of going is ...... DO IT. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive with friendly and helpfull staff. Everything was explained to me as the car was being checked and adjusted. My round trip was 175 miles and boy was it worth it. Many Thanks Tony to you and your staff
