  1. The love is very appealing...the photos on AT don't do it any justice.. i don't think it has reverse camera either? have you got an f-sport did you say?
  2. My main point was a few grand over their asking price is a 2nd hand is300h with lower mileage! cant see any other sonic blues around on autotrader so they got the heads up on price their. Yes your right pic seemed to me as if alloy looks grazed and damaged, no doubt I would lower the price, but I'm looking to put my ISF wheels on it. the other thing is Lexus are offering a decent price for my 55 plate is250 MM spec thanks for the info on the roll bars, it's something I didn't know...I assumed f sport was pedals and different exhaust compared to SE models. lexus leicester are trying to negotiate a price with sidcup and see if there is movement in price as I won't be paying £12k for it!
  3. Thanks for replying are the anti roll bars different in the f sport compared to SE spec models? I was asking about the comfort as I've not driven in an f sport and I was under the impression it's slightly lower than standard models? Is that right? Im running ISF bbs wheels on my is250 and the ride is harsh due to tyre profile.. mainly I wanted to see if anybody owned the blue Lexus which is at Sidcup as I think they have overpriced it at 12k and I really want it!!! Spoken to Lexus leicester to see if a deal can be done
  4. As above guys..the one on autotrader at Lexus sidcup 61 plate was this motor anyone's from here? I had a quick convo with the dealer about price...offered them 10.5k but firmly got rejected... i thibk £12k is abit too much no? Also is there any thing different going from a SE model to f sport in terms on ride or comfort? Thank you Paresh
  5. I've done a few checks and can't find anything myself which is obvious... car booked in at Lexus to have a look but then got distracted by other models and now thinking of part exchanging 🙈🙈
  6. Hello guys past few weeks I've had a very noticable squeeking, bird type chruping noise from the front end of my is250. Its intermitent either when breaking or normal driving on a flat road surface.. I've taken off calipers and greased the front of hub and pins...pad and disc on all 4 are in new condition... lexus leicester took a brief look whilst car was with them on a service and said it was something dry causing the noise but wanted to change £80 per hour to have a look, which I declined! rear calipers was changed as one was seized but noise is still there car been on the ramp and checked by 3 different garages and there isn't any leaking in shocks or any play in control arms or joints.. im really out of ideas now and it's really annoying and embarrassing as it makes the car sound like it's from the scrap yard! Also I I don't know wheather it's causing the car any minor damage or not.. any help and advice will be great thank you Paresh
  7. They age really well in my option...I currently have a private plate on my 55 reg is250 and no one believes me that it's 11 years old...a lot of kit in the car and all in working order... smooth auto gear boxes, excellent sound system, comfy seats with hot and cold etc!
  8. As per above...I made the post referring to the aftermarket M2 exhaust I had for about 2 years...i loved it when it first went on but as the years went by I couldn't live with the drone myself.. the above eBay link for the back boxes are the ones I bought...I was proberly the first one to buy from that eBay company as I only paid £169.00 when it was first listed few months ago, not sure why the price has been increased, most likely as they had many many enquires about it. The boxes are fine...Straight replacement and no problems at all.
  9. Got my car back today and was washed and vaccumed...left it with them on quater tank and drove off in half a tank.. main thing I was worried if my water pump was on its way out as i experienced some symtoms but Lexus Leicester gave it a full green report and i was surprised thinking they will either find a fault or make a fault but service from start to finish was brilliant.
  10. pardon my sarcasm!! I'd be over the moon if they let me borrow a ISF! Is300h is a nice place to be so far
  11. I am having my recall today and they offered me the ISF but i declined and took the IS300h! ;-) brand spanking only 1000miles on the clock. Lexus Leicester mentioned they will do a health check and I'm sure they will list a few things they may need changing but won't be taking them up on it! Drop off car tomorrow so will see what comes up and if they top up my tank or offer me some bubbly 😎😎
  12. I'm having my recall done this week so will be asking Lexus Leicester on prices exhaust. As a business I can't see how they have so many expensive parts sitting on shelves when making them more affordable customers would pay for a replacement. Like previously said, a brand new exhaust if only a grand or so off buying a used 55 reg is250!!! Ludicrous!!!
  13. I've not checked your links but I've messaged 3 listings so far and all have sold of the back boxes. Apparently they are going like hot buns once a Lexus is listed for parts.
  14. I think I seen the exhaust on eBay...just under £200 I think for it and £100 carriage! No doubt some may like the drone of the exhaust but as we both agree the novelty wears off and sometimes I find it embarrassing as it attract attention even at low speed. we buy any car quoted me £3000 too...bearing in mind how much parts cost it's certainly a car that doesn't make sense at times!
  15. Exactly this. I'm only needing the 2 back boxes but like you say there is a lot of 220 breaking and hardly any is250 on auction.
  16. After 2 years of my M2 axle back exhaust and the loudness of it I'm wanting to buy the original exhaust as it was much quieter (old age kicking in)..ive searched eBay but no one seems to be selling or breaking any parts for exhausts... I may put in advert if anyone is looking to sell theirs or swap as the novelty of a loud exhaust is wearing off!! Has anyone had an after market exhaust put on?
  17. There is a nice red one gone up past day or so...low mileage at £19k
  18. Very nice looking motor! Great styling and beaut colour...I remember seeing this on AT months ago and took a fancy to it.. everything you have done from wheels and spoiler look amazing. Well done Paresh
  19. Hi...how are you?

If you remember me from years ago...I bought your is250 from Toyota Barnsley...still have her...going strong!!

    1. pobrown

      pobrown

Glad to here it :-)  There was nothing wrong it it except the MPG on my journeys to work.

I'm back in a Lexus now, having purchased a IS300h SE recently.

  20. Thanks for your input...I'm trying to do some number crunching and using my current is250 as deposit...with a 55 plate IS with 80k full service mileage and original ISL wheels I'm hoping to making £.4.5 a £5k. Then try and finance for around £10k over 3 years. Ive looked at other brand of cars and I'm sure the M5's, Audi S4's maybe as good or better but i love the Lexus branding and style and going back to my original post, a Lexus says a lot about you. (Hopefully in a good way) if I can't afford it, I'd take another IS250 in an f-sport model as there is about 3 on AT with ultra blue colour thanks all for your input and apology accepted Raayaan
  21. I asked for some friendly comments for my post and look where you took it... people should be humble in success and it's not coming across that way to anyone on here from you!
  22. so say I have 250k in the bank is it best to pay for a whole house for a buy to let or use the cash to put down deposits to buy 5 houses? Buying something outright isn't always the best decision even with cars.
  23. So you paid £78k cash for 2 Lexus models? If so not many people would be in a position to have that sort of cash. i ask regarding finance as rates are pretty low at the moment via banks. Your comment regarding you can afford a Bentley at £1500 a month is the point I'm making, as you can afford that a month but you wouldn't have £300k in your hand to buy it outright..by the time you save £300k your dreams by then would change to another super car!
  24. Thanks for your input so far guys not sure about the comment of being to big for your boots as a lot of people seem to be financing details on new cars or of high value. If people couldn't afford the petrol to run it then i agree with the comment..
