ive bought some from USA via Ebay last week and im awaiting delivery paid just under £40 for deflectors and delivery...bargain... will post up pics once delivered and fitted

There's something wrong with this post, red is 'cheap and chavy' and gold calipers and gold badges aren't? Thought it was the chavs that were into 'Bling' (I'll keep quiet about my polished aluminium ones ). Traditional is black or red, but you could always go Ferrari 'look at me' yellow. like i said, its my PERSONAL view. Thanks

Black chrome is a painted finish so no different to normal alloy colours, it isn't chrome plated like proper chrome alloys. A polished finish is a bit of a pain to look after as well, as any break in the lacquer gets you straight to bare metal which leads to easy corrosion (like with the standard IS200 alloys) whereas normally it needs to get through the powdercoat as well. cheers for that im in two minds (yet again) either black chrome or bright silver

i know what you mean, tyres need to be just as black as wheel otherwise it does look odd bod but with black chrome, or any other chrome, im worried with them peeling etc is polished basically near enough to chrome but easier to deal with in terms of cleaning and maintaining??

I've been thinking lately weather or not to change colour of my IS200 wheels (aero 18's) they need a refub in general as their have seen 117k worth of roads and my is200 being black, im thinking weather to change wheels to black/grey/white??? has any changed their Aero wheels? or have any pics of them being modified??? cheers

i personally dont like red on any color as it looks cheap and chavy IMHO id go for, as above, gold and get yourself some gold lexus badges to match

HIDS ballasts are not the slim ones BTW...no stick pads, but clamps in the box

quick update... thanks to TommyH, purchased one of the hid kits from your links fitted them tonite and wow, very bright indeed! i went for 6000k i think i should have went for 8000k but never the less im very happy!! next mod is to get some wind deflectors from USA!!

i want to join my fellow lexus drivers in purchasing a HID kit. I have spend an hour searching through old posts etc, but i just wanted to clarify, (just in case anything changes with time) do i need H4 bulbs?? im looking at the 6000k temp and would they and HIDs in general pass MOT?? i did try a link which KAM05 put up awhile ago, but they aint got 6000k on h4 bulbs...(if i saw it right)!! i dont want to spend loads of money, around £50-£60 Pictures would be great of 6000k and 4300k too please any links would be fantastic also via Ebay thanks!

not sure yet as to when to get it resprayed..get a gut feeling it might happen again... yeh not a bad point for getting 2 invoices..i need to find out with my insurance company.

Off ebay mate. seen them and made the guy an offer which he accepted so drove down to bristol to get them. 7 hour round trip haha worth it though as they hardly ever come up in good condition and i got them for a reasonable £150 £150!? with tyres?? cheap as chips!! i love those alloys, even more than my Aero 18's!!

noticed this morning that my bonnet has 2 deep scratches :( horrible feeling to think someone can do that, real **** feeling it stands out like a bitch on black and totally has ruined the front end how much can i be looking at in terms of respray? i also need my TTE front bumper spraying due to stone chips, so i wont be going through insurance as i can only legally get the bonnet done and not stone chip bumper (apparently) can anyone recomend a garage in leicestershire??

Hey there are proberly more experienced peeps on here to give you a full guide, but from my experiences the price seems okay...(if in good nick) Things to look out for... Check service history (id only buy one, with full history) and when cambelt was changed (rec. at every 60k miles) check for clutch 'judder' any clunk and crunch noise whilst driving, common probs inc. ball joint, seized caliper pins, also not sure if you have owned a lexus before, but they are thirsty for petrol -

want the 4 piece, front and back window deflectors....also the ones you can stick and not adjust within the door frame ive checked online with ebay, but where most people have bought from the USA, they havent got any in stock cheers
