  1. Car: Is200 Sport 115k Lately since after all the dismal weather ive noticed the lady to be very sluggish and non-responsive..no power wats so ever unless im putting my foot right down.. Changing in upper gears its revs higher than it should..it this something to do with the timing belt maybe? Also i know the lexus is a thirsty little whore, but for hardly any miles i do, 80 a week it goes through £25 of petrol! Tyres are checked and inflated every month to 33PSI She has her annual service and oil change. I did notice during the bad weather slight amounts of oil on the driveway..could this be from the LSD as it got a battering during the snow. any help or advice would be great Paz
  2. Hi Ive had the same problem, electric mirrors have been working fine until it snowed! now only driver side closes. tried WD40 but to no avail! unfortunately i cannot help any further! sorry!
  3. i like that alot...hopefully your springs will still settle in and sit perfect.. personally centre caps would look better as same colour of car.. but other than that very nice
  4. i like that alot...any picture(s) from a distance?
  5. Very nice..look forward to some pictures and some videos esp!! :winky:
  6. I, myself think its a complete disgrace I am british indian (hindu) and i think the country we live should be respected by all..the british way. I completely understand why people are against it and why english people are getting annoyed with such things day by day.. I have many friends from different reglions that are opposed to this, but groups like them make me paranoid that some english lot think all indians are the same..(3 common types, Hindu, Sikhs, Muslims) I am 101% British and value the culture and rules of the country and for those who dont, then go to a country that suits you.
  7. Ah...i forgot that one, Armrest! How did u go about rear heated seats mate??
  8. mine does the same, i wouldnt think its a problem..just the way it is..is200 doesn't have alot of power/torque as it is and lifting off from 1st gear needs a healthy right foot to get going.
  9. Rear heated seats, more power, headlight washers - but all in all i love my lex!
  10. driver side not folding as it should...passenger side is fine...ive used WD40 around the housing but to no avail.. they do fold manually by hand but not by switch... i dont know what to do..HELP!
  11. mine has been all over the road...does an LSD sound off when in motion??

  14. i have a 2001 is200 sport with 18inch is300 wheels.. i want to go low, 35mm or 40mm but not sure how it will look, handle or ride with passengers.. how low is the standard sport (2001) year compared to standard SE model?? is it also worth changing dampers aswell? any pictures would be great and any recomendations dont want to spend lots of money or buy coilovers just yet. thanks in advanced. Paz
  15. what wheels are the bottom ones?? any more pic?? looks rather nice..!
  16. thinking of lowering the lady on some springs, cannot afford coilovers atm.. sport that i have is slightly lowered compared to SE, S, i think 10mm?? correct me if im wrong what sort of labour costs would i be looking at? Thanks in advanced
  17. quick update for those with same/similar problems....i pushed back the backing plate with my hands through the spokes of the alloys, abit of debire(sp) came out..but the noise HAS GONE! well for now anyway...
  18. ive been to local garage, got lex onto axle, said it aint sticky calipers, im i right in saying that if wheels move freely by hand then sticky calipers are out the question?? he said that the sliding pin/bolt is not an issue as calipers are not sticking??? im lost!
  19. cheers pal(s), will check on bearings some time soon...if any more sugguestions then keep them coming!
  20. Whilst driving grinding metal on metal sound coming from drivers side, cant tell if front or back..had this problem last year.. can be heard whilst going above 20mph and when NOT applying the brakes.. Ive changed rear pads, discs, drums etc, front have been checked and discs and pads are ok. I also grinded down the backing plate last year to see if it made any difference and geased up all the necessary bits. After all that doesnt changed, until suddenly it disapeared for nearly a year.... BUT NOW ITS BACK!! ARGHHHH its turning peoples heads for the wrong reasons and its really annoying and loud-ish, even having music on, it can be heard!! its a winding, whistleing sound, and no its not a turbo or supercharger!! please anyone, someone help me! i do not dare go to lexus and have my ***** handed to me! Paz
  21. anyone had it done? mines over 8years old and 110k miles and engine looks dirty and doesnt compliment the car... ive never had a steam clean and with battery and other electrics in the bay how safe is it??
