check some of the forums for the aristo and supras as they have the same 2JZ-GE (well non turb supras do :P), if you need a timing belt change then a normal toyota dealer can easily do it if they have done a supra before :P

i remember hitting a curb in my 89 honda prelude at about 40kmph in the rain when the brakes locked around a bend, bent the front left wheel and suspension so far back that when the other wheels were straight the front left was resting at the back of the wheel arch, about 3k to get the suspension fixed and then also had to have the whole car rebent into shape, pretty big aftermath for a pretty tame accident! N2KHL if its £1500 to fix whats your payable excess?

ill keep looking into it then as a longer term project, i think 400rwkw would be a bit silly :P just keep it down around 300 haha! might be able to also get a gear box out of one of the supras which should hold up better to it, and if i have that kind of power should probably look at doing up the brakes and suspension a bit aswell (watches the money skyrocket), can you get the fsport rims yet? might try and nab a few of those :P

i never had a two button key :| i have two 3 button keys and one key that has no buttons, is that normal in some places?

I did a quick search and couldn't find any information on here about anyone doing an engine swap in an IS200 with a 1G-GTE engine (from the MK3 Supra, GZ20 Supra or Mark II). im interested in this because stock it puts out 157kw but my friend has seen a few turbo'ed up to over 400rwkw, overall cost to do this would be cheapish, around only AUD$600 for the engine and i know a mate who will do the engine swap for a slab of beer. doing this will double the cost of my insurance but that dosnt worry me too much, then just have to spend a bit of cash doing up the turbos and getting it tuned. but im wondering if anyone has done it before and what kind of issues they have experienced?

same rims that came with my car, but the lovely old lady who had the car before me has put some nice dents in them :tsktsk: gonna have to get them refurbished as i think they are the nicest looking rims for an IS ive seen :P

Honda NSX LF-A Roadster and my old love the 3rd Gen Honda Prelude that thing was so cool but i now have trouble lowering myself into the seats :P

if you find some cheap can you tell me? i was giving my rims a nice wash the other day and noticed all the center caps are chipped and scratched, so are the rims which im going to get refurbished down the line but atleast i can make the caps nice for now :)

would the 220d's engine slot in? i dont know to much about this subject but wouldnt it be easier to swap a lexus diesel in than any other companys?

thanks for all your comments :) luckily no physical damage but i would say a fair bit of mental damage to me :( had the car for just over a month, yesterday the "lovely lady" from the jetta sent me a bill for her damage, a total of $2,600 for a few little scratches of paint, reviewing her claim she wants a whole new rear bumper and qtr panel plus a new mag wheel,,,, ahwell atleast i have evidence on my side and she will be paying the lot! parts coming from japan will be 3 weeks and then another two weeks to fix, then it will be back to normal! then i just have to get the exhaust tip redone because the original owner broke the tip and never replaced it,

What a horrible week i had last week, two accidents in my shiny new IS200, the first one happened when some "lovely lady" in a new VW Jetta decided she wanted to be in my lane, this resulted in a dent about two inches long in my front left wheel arch and a few scrapes to the paint, these are the images from that accident, then two days later im at an intersection stationary, im second in line to turn right behind a 2003 jag XK8, lights go green, he guns it, i follow, we go around the corner (which had been a blind one due to a truck sitting on the other side of the road we were turning into) and wow, theres a car illegaly turning literally 5 meters after the corner, both the jag and i hit the skids but i just run up the end of that beautiful $190,000 car,,,, which has resulted in a wee bit of damage to my front, the main thing is that the second catch on the bonnet (the one thats controled by the switch in the car) is out of allignment and wont shut which means its being held down by the first little latch that anyone can open and an octopus strap. Cars going to the crash repairer on friday to be assessed by insurance, but its a lovely $1,300 excess im going to have to pay, but semi luckily, i already had a quote for $1,100 for the first accident which the other lady is going to have to pay up which will cover most of the excess on the second accident, which can partially help with the fix of the first accident (the front left fender will probably have to be replaced as its slightly warped, which is the main damage she did).

im roughly 18 and a half (november 1989), i pay $1,100 a year on insurance in aus dollars with my dad as the owner and me as the number 1 driver, if i was owner+no.1 driver it would cost me $2,600 :| :| :| my car history (i started driving in the country young on PRIVATE PROPERTY) 10-11 Holden Jackaroo 11, Honda Prelude 12-14, Mk3 Celica and R31 Skyline 15, Holden Jackaroo No 2, 16-18, Honda Prelude (now bought off parents) 18+ IS200 Down the Line 23 IS250 (or newest equiv, sports model manual :P)

haha very happy, my dad has the lx and my mum also has an rx330, were a real lexus family :P my sister has a toyota yaris which makes her feel very left out,

to be honest i have no idea, wasnt allowed anywhere near while they did it and they wernt very forthcoming with the info just handed me the sheet made me pay and said goodbye, although while i was waiting one of the car magazines had a lovely is200 with a 2jz-gte in it :P made me very jealous haha

Just got my car back from the dyno, i dont know much about dynos at all but it came back saying max power 85kw :| this is a stock 2003 car, i know you loose a bit of power over time and this one has a dodgy looking exhaust on it but was not expecting 85 when i thought they had 114 new :|

That girls a long way from water :P maybe the car was to afraid to drive near salt water and drove her to a forest :D
