  1. And what's the definition of cheap petrol. It doesn't exist in the UK at least. Its all expensive. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  2. Can you post a picture of it as it it. Just interested to see the clocks which I assume is showing KM near the odometer milage? Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  3. I had a tpms issue with one of mine when I bought the car. The fact of the matter being that the previous owner never had one tpms replaced. This leads to the indicator being on permanently. Then I had a tyre replace and asked for the tpms to be replaced too. This was a general run of the mill tyre place. This is pertinent since after fitting a new tpms. Indicator light still lit. "just drive around a while it will learn the new ID or the tpms" - utter rubbish. I had to get techstream out and program it to the car inputting the new tpms ID. Garages who changed tyres should know this about certain cars. But it seems they dont Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  4. Button looks like this Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  5. Sounds like mine. I think the tpms pressure on the display came after my 2014 model though Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

  7. There are no SW updates for the cluster that are downloadable. I had that confirmed when I had my issue with my cluster mileage issue. I called the Lexus National technical helpline which anyone can call since its chargeable call. They are a very helpful set of guys but no update for my clock issue. By all means call them with this specific issue. They (if anyone) will know about it or if there is a button sequence that can change it Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  8. I think thqy picture is grabbed off internet yeah?? Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  9. Bruno I informed you how I reprogrammed the eeprom. Lexus wont be interested in that. They very much wanted to sell me a brand new cluster with '00000' on the clocks. I would go as far to say they have no knowledge at a circuit component level locally. All that is at the R&D people at lexus. I think IF there is a way to switch from miles to Km then they should know to process. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  10. Yes. I doubt that lexus made two different instrument clusters, one to calc miles and other to calculate kilometres. Both algorithms for that will be on the same unit. Like the BMW example. The question is how can it be flipped from one to another Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  11. The eeprom stores the mileage. I had to repair mine when I bought my car since the odometer was stuck at a particular mileage. The eeprom is holds the hex values that are your travelled milage. Mine was knackered. I had to remove the small surface mount eeprom, programme a new one with the correct mileage then solder it back on the board. To be fair I ended up soldering an eeprom socket to the board so I could easily remove the eeprom during the trial and error of getting the right hex values. It's correct now but need to take apart dash, remove socket and re solder the chip back to the board. I'll get around to it soon I guess. For now the eeprom is in the socket working fine. So heres the thing. So hex data on that chip depict km or miles. This infomation is not readily available. If it can be determine what needs to be changed in the hex it's simple then. 12. May I just ask. What's it defaulting to now when you turn on the car? I have eeprom 93a66 for is300h fsport This is in miles not kilometres Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  13. Well pardon me. Thanks, didnt get a manual with my car. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  14. Really. That's sold. If this app let's me change that I'll do it now. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  15. Lexus should have called it 'drive away from home in whisper mode' and nothing to do with energy saving. If all its good for is driving in car parks or away from the house quietly then they are lagging behind their competitors. It's not faulty just (and it is my opinion) near useless. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  16. Sorry, what car is shown in my profile? Not an is300h F Sport then? Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  17. Is it me or is the ev mode (using the button on the centre console, identified as on via the dashboard) in the car utter junk. "EV mode deactivated due to execcsive acceleration" even a two years olds foot could trigger that. Basically the ev mode does sod all but quit at least little thing. So I never bother with it but is it a gimmic or faulty or are other people's the same? Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  18. I'd get that looked at. I was on the motorway the other day and my is300h is quieter than the last lexus I had and that was quiet. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  19. I got this car roughly 3k cheaper because it was repossessed by finance company from the previous owner. Then £250 for the second hand nav unit. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  20. Bloody lexus..... They gave the individual pressures in the cluster to more recent buyers of the same car. Little things like that bug me. My car came with no sat nav. They reckon it couldn't be added afterwards. Guess what... It can and was (by me) , small ecu update made it all work OEM style. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  21. They don't display in the cluster on my 2014 is300h, and I don't think anything is in the manual about displaying the individual pressures,. Just the warning light. I think displaying the pressures on the cluster came in more recent models. Although I would like to hear the same from someone who has the exact same model and year as mine. Anyway, a guy at the tyre place had to check each wheel by holding a close proximity tpms tool. One didnt read and the other 3 did. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  22. That's very true. I was resetting mine with techstream and for a day or so the tpms would not illuminate when the car was running. Until day 2 then it would flash for a few minutes and stay lit constantly. This would go on until I next reset it. Then the same repetition would start again. I got the suspect faulty sensor changed. And the garage told me the car will learn about the new sensor. Tripe. A week later still hadn't changed the behaviour. Perhaps on some cars that might be the case and works!? I don't know. Certainly my car wasn't learning any such thing. Out came techstream and I inputted all sensor id 's into techstream wizard, it finally accepted all and the new tpms ID values and since then no issues. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  23. If you have an is300h the button is on the steering column. About a foot down from the wheel. I think the button has to be pressed after engine off turn to IGN then hold button for about 3 to 5 seconds. I've had tpms issues had to fix with techstream though to add new sensor. Good luck Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  24. I just mentally ticked off all the stuff I can do (and did) when servicing my is220d for the last 10 years. **** I've saved a right packet over the years in the 220d. I think I will be doing my is300h service. £600 buys a lot of oil and parts - not just inspections. I'm not fussed about stamping books when I don't intended to sell the car for a long time. I have tech docs., techstream and the know how to do most of the service / renew parts. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5b6a18f1cda1b/Lexus%20-%20Full%2040%2C%2060%2C%2080%20Service%20Summary%200518.pdf Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
