  1. I too (Reading Berkshire area) had Dunlop Sport Maxx fitted all round last week so no issues getting them at Elite Wheels and Tyres. (http://www.elitewheels.co.uk/) Thanks.
  2. Hello, I got a 2007 IS 250 SE MM in Aug last year and I would add: 1: Check the alloy wheel condition. Mine was still in warranty and I had them all replaced. Perhaps push for replacements if they are blistered or kerb scrubbed. 2: Get some mud flaps fitted with the deal. 3: Test drive for as long as you can over variety of roads that you know. 4: Check tyre depth. 5: Check the front discs for wear if you can. 6: Do a thorough body panel check for alignment, especially bumpers and check bumpers for slight paint cracks...sign of being dinked. 7: Check all paper work and make sure all services are/have been done recently. 8: Get the last owners name from the V5 and if you can call them up and ask them about the car and it's history. 9: Push and push as per the Lexus brochures that the car should be as good as new condition. I love mine and wish I had bought one years ago. Hope the deal goes well.
  3. I was sensing the same "step out" or "slippage" on my 07 plate IS250 SE with around 24k miles. I have since replaced the tyres and "step out" has gone. I never got any clunking though. Hope that helps. Cheers
  4. Lexus Reading replaced both blades and fitted for free for £15. Cheaper than Halfords and got the right ones fitted too. ;-)
  5. You can set this up or reset it or turn it off by pressing INFO > MAINTENACE. Thanks.
  6. I looked around at various blades and prices but it was just as cheap to drop into my local Lexus (Reading) dealer and they charged around £15 for a pair of blades and fitted them for free. Superb service. I suggest you do the same with your local dealer. Thanks
  7. Thanks pobrown. Absolute madness that even useful things like CD track listings disappear when on the move. Oh well....
  8. I see from my 2007 IS250 SE MM that the CD track listing is present when the car is stopped but when moving the track listings are blanked and not selectable. Can anyone with the latest SatNav DVD confirm whether this rather stupid issue has been changed so that you can use the CD track listings when on the move? Many thanks.
  9. When my ignition sequence starts and completes the low fuel indicator does not light up. However, it does light up when my fuel level is low so it does it's job. Hope that helps and is consistent with what you see. Thanks
  10. Does anyone have any recommendations for any companies in Reading Berkshire that will do a good job of alloy wheel refurbishment? I was thinking of using Autotouches.com. Thanks.
  11. I have not had / seen it done but heard that the SatNav MM system would be about £2000 to buy if your existing one was faulty. ;-(
  12. Each to their own but I would have to say that the Merc looks hideous, especially viewed from the front.
  13. For the internal lights in the roof to come on, make sure that the switch "door" is in the right position. If it is off then they will NOT come on when the door is opened/you approach the car. Thanks.
  14. Hello Gazza, I am sure that the internal LED lights (used for map reading) do NOT come on when the car is approached or unlocked. What does is the footwells, the front and rear door activated middle light (that's the one between the LED lights) and the door mirror ones. Make sure the internal door activated lights have the switch in the right place I think. I had a Parrot in a previous Corolla and it was connected to the radio and cut it out when a call was made/received and worked well. Does your IS250SE not come with Bluetooth then? Thanks.
  15. Hello FA, Speaking as an owner of an 07 IS250 SE... 1. I have a cup holder under the centre armrest at the front. 2. Getting out my car tonight the wing mirror light did not come on. It certainly does when its dark and you get near to the door with the key fob as you say. You don't need to unlock the door. 3. I would certainly get the rusted wheel nuts replaced under warranty. Yes, the ML system is fantastic and I have now started listening to music again. Thanks.
  16. I'm pretty sure I have read that MP3 files can only be read from a CDROM and not a DVD disc. Thanks.
  17. Thought I would post a few pics of my 07 IS250 SE and thanks to those members who helped me make my choice on the forums.
  18. Just to add that the TeckNet WF-0096 3 Ways Car Cigarette Lighter Charger Adapter With One USB Jack - Black did the job and the arm rest cover can be closed even using a non stumpy Nokia 12V charger. Result and all bought on Amazon. Thanks.
  19. My Nokia (3109C) on Vodafone pairs up every time with my IS250 SE with MM and no problems making or receiving calls if that helps. Thanks.
  20. The Griffin range is mainly for iPOD usage and I neither have or ever want an iPOD. Thanks.
  21. I have looked online and have just ordered this so will let you know if any good. TeckNet WF-0096 3 Ways Car Cigarette Lighter Charger Adapter With One USB Jack - Black. It's only a fiver so worth a go and the cable routes off to the three charger ports and USB port so should fit under the armrest. Thanks.
  22. Hello All, still enjoying my 1st week of IS250 ownership. My question is has anyone found a suitable 12V power adaptor than can be used in the centre console under the armrest without interfering with the slide mechanism? I would like to use it for an MP3 player or mobile phone charge. It would appear to be next to useless looking at the chunky adaptors in the shops. Many thanks.
  23. Reading Lexus quoted £173 for Int 30k 3rd year service, £346 for Full 40k 4th year service and £205 for Int 50k 5th year service.
