  1. Does it make any difference with the IS or is it just better to run it on normal unleaded?
  2. Right, time for a little update I think. As of today and many thanks to Tony Goose I've recieved my new headlights with eyebrows attached as well. I've also got my new set of locking wheel nuts too. :) I've tracked down other parts for the car as well but with prices fluctuating a lot I'm not just jumping straight in and buying the first lot of parts I can find. Really am itching to get this car on the road now lol
  3. I'd say the accord mate. Thats what I was after before I got the lexus due to already owning a civic as well and not having had any issues with it. Accord can also be remapped to 192bhp and roughly 300 lbft torque. ;) check out the accord owners club for more info on it.
  4. What spanish crash? Hoping the pilot remembers to use the right flaps............................(spanish crash...
  5. Have you checked fuses/bulbs mate? I'm new to lexus ownership but that would be my first port of call ;)
  6. Hi mate, I'm guessing it was you that had second dibs on the lights tony had for sale. Sorry you missed out to me but I can tell you where you will be able to get some. Noticed you're in manchester, A1 Jap spares in failsworth have got a car coming in at the start of next week. Its been rear ended and the lights are available. Most of the front end is already unfortunatly spoken for by myself but if you give them a ring I'm sure they may be able to sort something out. They're always on the lookout for rear end damaged IS200's due to the demand for front end parts so I dont think you'll have a problem getting the lights from them. Give them a ring...0161 682 2221
  7. I seen them mate, the way they were dressed etc. Unfortunatly didnt get to catch their faces. Didnt really get much of a thanks from the neighbours so doubt I'll step in again if it happens lol
  8. After a few phone calls I've been offered some parts for my car but am unsure on if I should take them or not. I've been offered the following, what do people think: Bonnet £150 in platinum ice/silver Wing £100 same colour Front bumper with everything, grill, fog lights, washer jets etc - £250 Slam Panel - £250 I need opinions please as I'm going to the place tomorrow to have a chat with the breakers and see if I can get the price down. Tbh I'm more so so about the front bumper as I'm not sure I really need all them bits. Well the washer jets probably but grill can be saved and I think fogs can as well as they still work.
  9. Between a slam panel and front panel? I thought they were the same but I've been getting quotes today but dont know if I'm getting quoted on the right part lol. My mechanic said something about it needing to have chassis leg ends with it as well
  10. I just had another thought...when the car is finally repaired and on the road I think I might get a strut brace for it. Can someone tell me how much it'll cost and is it worth it? Just had a quote for a bonnet for £150 btw...think thats still a bit much so trying to knock em down in price.
  11. Tried mate. All they had available was a slam panel but when I asked them about it they were very clueless. Think I just came across someone who didnt know what they were on about probably. I've gotta try again this week though as they said they're getting some more cars in. Btw, I dont believe in student loans aaronabbot lol. I'm already in enough debt as it is with my family
  12. Tell me about it, you cant roam around most scrappies anymore like u could a while back. I went to my local scrappy not so long ago as needed a couple of suspension struts for my civic so while I was waiting for them to take off the suspension from the donor car I tried helping myself to a connector I needed from the boot of the car but it took ages to rip out. Got a bit of an odd look from one guy as I had my head in the boot but luckily no one said anything lol. Think there is a Group Buy brewing on Carbon Bonnets, and maybe wings! When I win the lottery mate then I'll take part in the group buy :winky: I'm a student remember
  13. Cheers mate. Could you get me the names and numbers of the breakers please and I'll give them a call. I cant wait to get the lex on the road so dont worry hopefully you will see it put right mate :winky: I really didnt think it would be so difficult to get parts for the car tbh especially after its been around so long now. Whats also shocked me is the prices these days of parts from breakers, they've gone through the roof for some reason.
  14. Thats one gorgeous IS mate...where did u get the pedals from? They really set the car off nicely
  15. Cheers lee. I'm keeping my options open at the moment but I'll be waiting to hear from you. Got a few bits lined up but still struggling to find a wing n bonnet at the right price though.
  16. I just got a Razo RA118 for mine recently. Not fitted it yet as havent had a chance and no point yet either as the car needs to be repaired first. Its an excellent gear knob though and looks really slick
  17. When do you think you'll be getting your car back mate?
  18. Sorry mate. If a mod could please close the other thread then it would be much appreciated.
  19. Cheers mate. Hopefully I can fix it without it costing too much and wanna get it on the road asap.
  20. Not got a pic of the slam panel to hand mate but its basically the front bar structure. Ermm easiest way to describe it is that its the structure that the radiator is attached to I suppose
  21. As some of you may know I'm pretty new to lexus ownership and recently bought a light damaged IS200. Well I've finally managed to sort some pics out so here they are and if anyone would like to help with the provision of parts or info then it would be much appreciated. :winky: I'm gonna try and get some more sorted soon so people can see the situation under the bonnet.
  22. Cheers mate. I'll give them a shout and see if I can get a quote from them.
  23. Parts required are as listed above mate but I'm just getting confused with the whole crap about the slam panel. My car is platinum ice/silver mate so that bumper sounds good to me. Has he got the washer jets as well for the headlights as I may need them too but I defo need the washer jet covers for the bumper as well. heres the pics which I currently have...
