just out of curiosity, when u mention the seat/trc buttons, is it the buttons themselves that pull out to reveal bolts or is it the whole section where the buttons are fitted?

As far as I can remember the last time i started the car the security light did go out straight away so fingers crossed its a master. the battery is dead on the car atm as it hasnt been driven for so long but I've nearly got all the parts I needed now to get it fixed so when I next start the car I'll check properly. If it isnt a master key is there a way to make it a master or can i add more keys?

oh???? mine only came with one key. will have to check if its a master or not when i get a chance. the key looks fairly well used tho and has the boot release button too.

how on earth can they class that as a cat d?! that a least should be a cat c but tbh more of a cat b. the damage is way to heavy for it to a be worthwhile repair. the damage to mine is nothing compared to that lol

this doesnt make sense. seeing as the other guy admitted fault then why is the insurance company cancelling your policy? if they want to write the car off then try and buy it back. repairs will cost a lot less privately and you'll also get the car for dirt cheap. if you were in the car when you were hit then get to the docs asap for a check up and also contact your solicitors as you could have whiplash ;) ;)

good luck mate, I've been trying to find a wing and bonnet for over a month now. front end parts are the hardest to source at the right price.

Its good to see petrol prices coming down at last. I've noticed the trend over the past few weeks. Filled up today for 103.9 and have been doing for nearly a week now. Cant wait til it drops below a quid over here.

seems like they're using the same techniques with the bmw 5 series in your area as well as manchester. they're so well done that u can even tell its a cop car. I had a close up look at a couple recently as they were at my uni (bolton) escourting the earl of wessex(?) for the opening of a new building and the strobes at the front of the car now look like led's. very very tiny fixtures in the bumper corners that u can barely see and no arials sticking out everywhere either.

In manchester I've lost count on the different type of cars they're using these days but I can defo confirm they've got a few silver bmw 5 series and these arent your normal unmarked cars either, they look totally standard! the police have been very crafy with these by hiding all forms of tell tale signs as much as possible. I was so shocked when I seen one with the lights on, if it didnt go past me with the lights on I wouldnt have been able to tell. Craftiest part is the rear strobes on the silver 5 series are built into the rear clusters so u cant tell they're even there! A lot of the police cars over here are normally MX plated even unmarked but I've seen some that arent plated like that as well. Also surprisingly seen a partially stickered up GS300 with lights on the roof as well lol.

I was just gonna mention the ring as well lol. I'm not too sure what other options u've got tbh mate. I've been debating what to do with my camera detector when I get my car on the road as wanna hard wire it like ur doing with ur sat nav but seeing as ur thread has answered my questions I may just stick with only the hardwire and leave the rest of it removeable. My camera detector is a microfuzion fz1 btw which has a magnetic mount which sticks onto the dash then the detector is just placed on the mount.

personally I wouldny screw anything to the dash especially a sat nav mount as thats what a lot of theives are looking for these days. if they see a sat nav mount then they assume theres a sat nav in the car and therefore break into it.

so where did u get the splitter from if u dont mind me asking and cost?

thats a very interesting question coz I was gonna ask the same when I got my car on the road lol. I've used them in my civic loads of times n they're good plugs but dont know what they'd be like in the lexus

I'd say S15 all day long mate! Mods are more widely available and theres more that you can do with the car

If you want to power a PS2 from your car then you'll need a power invertor. It basically converts 12 volts to mains. They can tend to be a bit bulky but thats what you'd need.

Ah thats what fixed mine! Forgot! lol. I've seen it happen a lot with new systems and vista and thats normally the common fix. bios update and windows update. it basically always boils down to a form of driver issue even tho the user may have installed the latest drivers for the device already. I work in IT btw ;)

tell him u cant accept cheques and only direct bank transfer will do so then u can see if any money is sent ;) lol

have you tried running a windows update by any chance? also check that your bios is upto date.
