  1. Chesham, just past Aylesbury in Bedfordshire.
  2. Can't we just drop somthing brown on Mr Brown, he likes doing it to us
  3. I would be very surprised if the yellow goes in 6 months, unless it has been done by a competent professional and not a complete hack with an Ebay special set up The modern inks are far better and stable then older ones. I have yellow over 15 years old still there in the skin not as bright but definitely still there and looking good.
  4. I lowered the car with Koni shocks and springs on Friday. The rear was a right mare to do, the front easy!! Yes that improved the car but it felt very twitchy and bumps in the road felt like they were throwing the car around "something" was not right. Probably didn't put the shocks in the right way round or something simple like that :shutit: OK the bumping issue was sorted by setting the damper force to almost the softest setting at the front and slightly harder at the back, but still the twitchiness remained. The car was booked in for the geo. to be done as a matter of course as this must be done after lowering regardless of the car you drive, so I was hoping this may well sort out the problem....... I am always sceptical about things in the car modding scene, I know about things like lowering, breathing, stopping, tyres etc, but changes to geometry is a new, uncharted territory for me. Well Tony did my car yesterday AM and the drive back to Milton Keynes was nothing short of amazing!! What a difference a few tweaks here and there make, instant noticeable improvement. No pulling, far better turn in, just the whole car now feels so tight and responsive what an amazing thing setting the geo up properly really is, this is on a 90K mile car. WIMing is probably the best mod to do to your car. Or is "mod" the correct term? maybe the best adjustment you can do to your car. THANKS TONY your coffee is prettty good also :winky:
  5. To be honest Matt, most Petrol Stations make very small margins on the fuel they sell, and more from the chocolate bars, cigarettes and yes, in part, lemonade! Though I'm talking here on a forecourt level, and many station are not even owned by the oil companies! If UK companies are making money then it cant that bad a thing. If they were not, it would only be foreign companies picking up the difference. On the whole, I agree with Mike_B. It's the government that is most at fault here, combined with the media scaring the public. Shell garage owners make about 1p per/L on petrol. I have a good friend who owns (well owns the franchise) one in MK, so like everyone else he knows I asked for "mates Rates" only to be shown the real life books for the station. It also takes about 10 years for a forecourt to pay off the cost of an LPG pump so no wonder alternative fuels are not catching on at the pace 1st envisaged.
  6. Not a bad tattoo, but as boddamloon pointed out the lettering needs some tidying, should not take more than 20 mins. I have lost count of then number of tattoos on me. I have: 2 full sleeves, inner lower lip, lower back, both legs, various piercings (20 or so) in various places and a split tongue (Mr 2 tongues) Currently re-working my upper arm, very extensive cover up work basically the whole upper arm is being done....... Owning one of the biggest studios in the area helps!!
  7. You may need the geometry checking taxed worse though!!
  8. Declare ANYTHING that the car did not have when it came out of the showroom, but after the evine is a little late. Gutted for you. As everyone says at least no one was hurt.
  9. not sure what you mean there? I am in no way associated with prolex. A phone aerial makes sense, so thanks to the people who have helped and as to a light up tax disk holder not on a Porsche, not even on a Lexus.
  10. I also own a Porsche Boxster, but the tax disk holder is looking rather knackered, so i thought about putting a nice shiny stainless steel one in... Here's the question: There is a wire coming from somewhere under the dash into the tax disk holder, does anyone know what this could be and can it be removed without wrecking something else on the car???
  11. Apparently VW Financial services have had a record year in the UK. My house was valued this week at MORE than the same company valued it 9 months ago!! (I needed the valuation as I am buying a holiday home in Paris and Turkey) Again it will only be worth what someone is willing to give for ti.
  12. I plan to take my car to WIM on tuesday next week for the geo to be done (I think I should book it it first though!!), would fitting arb's mean having to reset the geo again? if so I will be getting them sooner rather than later!!
  13. Yes thats the one, lovely looking hatch. The noise was good also, must be the compressor effect.
  14. Yes thats the one, lovely looking hatch. The noise was good also, must be the compressor effect.
  15. Ouch thats fast, not for long though!!
  16. Ahh google answers my own question. No point compressor is to small.
  17. Did Toyota make a TTE Corrola, twin zorsts and stunning turn of speed. I saw one badged up as a TTE pass me this morning on the A5 MK. If so is there any milage in tracking dows this cars supercharger/turbo set up?? Great looking car indeed, if you like hot hatches.
  18. 'could offer a LOC discount..........
  19. I would think shifter as I can't see why anyone would want to change the shift on mine to make it shorter.
  20. Ha Ha just noticed this thread!!!! I am Phil a "Body modifier" (I stab people with needles and cut them with scalpels ) I live in Milton Keynes and own the tattoo studio in Leighton Buzzard, take a look if you are even in the leaast bit interested!! www.risingphoenixtattoo.co.uk I love what I do and never want to do anything else to earn a living. I have had many cars even had 3 in the last year alone..... The Lexus is by far the best car I have ever had (apart from the wifes Porsche that is special, and teh 1.9 205 GTI when I was only 20) so it should stay a while!!
  21. My Is200 is a 2005 and has the TRD bodykit, climate A/C, 18" alloys (Aero ones), full black leather, T/C and snow, sat nav. electric everything. Basicly i can't think of anything it does not have apart from parking sensors. Oh and a Janspeed exhaust, hids, koni coilovers, k+n Filter and a distinct lack of a main CAT........ these were not standard though:whistling:
  22. I want to know how the moth got into my wallet, I never open it long enough :winky:
  23. I was told by a mechanic the are all the same, just a different way of getting the same result, but superchargers lost popularity because of the extra strain they put on the engine, therefore loosing overall power. I would still rather have a supercharger than a turbo in my IS though, they look to be more "engine internals" friendly TBH.
  24. Powerflow want £200 fitted for a 200 cell sports cat. So cheaper than the prolex one at over (just!) £300 unfitted. mine goes in next Tuesday, I will be looking for a std. manifold to strip the cats from and add clear pipes. Then all modding done till next year.
