  1. No that would be Thus the link :winky: I also own an on-line publishing company, security is rather important for my clients.....
  2. When I 1st got the Lex and found out (from here) that you can't "map" the is200, I asked a well respected place in Luton as there is no where in Milton Keynes that I know of that tunes cars, they quoted me £780+vat for a uni-chip and 1 day on the rollers (total price). What put me off was there was no "we expect to get X amount of gain, just "it will feel smoother mate""
  3. Exactly, why spend thousands on a car (which is only worth a couple of thou) when you can change the whole thing and get a more powerful car for probably less money. It is also cheaper on the insurance to have a standard car then a modded one. If you swap and change cars a lot then leave it standard, if you tend to keep them for a while then it does make a bit more sense to improve the spec more to your liking.
  4. If you are going to run graphics editing programs, have 2 HDD's, run the application from one and use the other for actual storage and running the rest of the PC. All Photoshop studio pc's are recommended to be set up this way. You will see a marked increase in speed. My CCTV cameras (4) run off a seperate HDD and I don't loose any real speed. Oh and go for something like ESET for your security. It will never ley you down. For proof look at http://www.eset.com/products/compare-NOD32...competition.php Hope this helps a bit.
  5. Off road track of course Not the Leigh. Buzz. Bypass :whistling: You know where.......
  6. Are there any wiring diagrams showing the sat nav on the IS200 with the 7" screen? I.E. which wire does what, it will help me out big time in the near future.
  7. Yes it has been frozen for the moment.
  8. The IS200 is "quick" when you have insurance issues it is only group 14ish. There is simply nothing else in the same class for the money. However for the fuel it drinks it would be nice to be a bit quicker!! A good driver will get good speed out of his/her car it is not all to do with BHP and 0-60. Look at all the pro drivers, it is not always the fastest (read red car not silver arrow!!) that gets to the flag first. With modern driving it is how you control your car.
  9. Forward thinking for the inevitable chav invasion of the IS200 owners club. Lets face it people will buy anything even Citroens
  10. OK redz_uk, you have an order for 1 box for me, if it will work on my 05 SE Nav. 1 or 2 inputs, I don't really mind at the moment. I have read your post http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=51700 but it does not say what to buy from where and how to fit, obviously you were looking for more people to want this mod.
  11. Theis will be what we need http://www.carconverters.com.au/news/10.html In Australia though
  12. Follow the garage advice, then you have come back if something goes wrong. It is worth keeping at least 1/4 tank of petrol in the system as the fuel pump is always running. Redex will also keep the injectors clean as this can be a problem with long term LPG usage.
  13. Dosen't the owners book says you need the sport option to fit a tow bar?
  14. Had mine on last night, A/C + climate set to 22c, and the seats did not get over hot, just nice!! I can't see them being related though.
  15. PRINZ PRINZ PRINZ The only system worth having IMHO, I have had 3 LPG cars the Prinz one was by far the best and the most reliable. But stay away from the chap in Milton Keynes he really made a mess of my Scooby then tried to blame "his fitter" as he was on holiday. There are good installers out there but really do your home work and make sure they have done an IS200 before. The governing body is a joke and not worth relying on as a sign of competence. Expect 5 to 10% less MPG and 2-5% less power, but apart from that you should not notice the diff.
  16. And of course the quality parts i got from Dave at Prolex combined with Charlesworth will hopefully make this project a success also. Am dying to see the performance also... and having never been in a supercharged lexus of any kind... ive no idea what to expect.. A bloody big grin
  17. Hmmm, my old Saab drank fuel like anything with the air con on, so are you guys saying the lexus system is an "economical" air con????? Most peole say fuel usage is far higher with A/C on????

  19. Deffo 18's, unless they are to big for you to handle........ Oh Plat Ice gets my vote :winky:
  20. Having had a Z4 and a Boxter S I would go for the Boxter every time. The BMW failed to raise so much as a smile, the Boxter makes me smile every time I look at it, let alone drive it and it out handles the Z4 easy in every day driving!! The 2 cars are just in different leagues. The down side of a Boxter or any Porsche is the tyre cost you must use their compound (N2) and at £200 each on the back it can hurt the wallet!! Funny thing is the engine is hidden away fron view, a way of saying "nothing to touch in there mate, leave it alone!!"
  21. How is the overall handling expected to be changed, the twin turbo being far heavier then the Lexus unit, will that cause lots of under steer?? Boy I wish I had the £'s to do the same to my IS200. I hope you have a good contact in the tyre fitting industry
  22. I beleve this company can help with getting TV/DVD etc on to your sat nav screen http://soarer.tv therefore a reversing camera will also work. Bet it costs though!! I am sure Wozza can enlighten us.
  23. From what I can tell these cars hold together really well which is why this site is not full of "its gone wrong again" posts. Mine has 90K on an 05 plate, the ONLY non service part it has ever had is a water pump when the timing belt was changed and apparently this was a preventative measure rather than necessary. A full Lexus SH is a really good thing to get. Drive a couple and get the feel for them, if you are not going to do high miles then don't worry about buying a high mile example, do all the usuall checks but the way prices are falling for all high tax cars it is a buyers market so haggle hard. There are loads around at the moment so plenty to choose from. Check the tyre wear carefully on the inside of the tyres.
  24. Well done Lewis, but as we all know it ain't over until Ferrari's henchmen have had a chance to take something in to the court room. Massa great drive all year and very sporting in defeat, shame the Brazilian "fans" don't know how to behave the real shame was DC what an unfortunate end to one of the best British F1 drivers careers :o How about a Lexus Owners club box at silverstone next year, only £1500 each, worth every penny.
  25. I haven't got the ARB's as they do cost a lot, but just lowering the car 35mm and a trip to WIM makes the car so much better. I shudder to think how good it will be when ARB's are put on it.....
