  1. Matt that's groovy! Any chance I can use that as my LOC logo?Would love to be able to have a trademark on the NZ forums... And I still want a crack at this quiz thing-maybe one on NZ musicians/bands that have been adopted by other countries as their own?? Anyone name 3?
  2. Now that's not fair!! I'm in the right age catagory, but miss out on getting the answers in first due to the time difference between the UK and us here in NZ!! AND I"M A DJ!!!!!(getting to work on my own quiz now....SULK!!!) ;)
  3. Need the help of the UK members knowledge for a moment... Lots of our NZ members are asking about removal of the Catalytic converters on the standard IS and RS exhausts, and as to if there is any great gain in doing this?? I must say I've been contemplating it myself, removed JUST the pre-cats on my last IS but the rest of exhaust was standard-it sounded different(raspier)but no real noticable performance gain. I currently have a Cat-back exhaust(trd altezza),sounds great, but may be neding to get a bit more flow if I wish to gain more horsepower(thinking S/Charge) would appreciate any feedback-Hopefully some of the UK members have done it... Regards,Gav. B)
  4. Hey Loz-look at installing an APEX RSM-not only will it record and analyse your performance but also allows facility to override factory speed and rev cuts.... it also has a rpm programmable output which I'm looking at using to trigger NOS at a set rev range. Check out Here for details-they are awesome to monitor car's performance, and well priced. Regards, Gav
  5. Hoon- we have an NZ based site, NZ SITE with which we may be able to help with contacts etc. Am looking at a similar setup on mine at the moment also.... Hope to see you online, Gav B)
  6. not a bad wee spot on the globe Micelis.....any of you lot more than welcome anytime! Lookin as tho the rugby world cup will be held here next time if the ALL BLACKS keep going like they are! ;)

  8. On behalf of all of us NZ LOC members I'd like to wish an absolutely blin(g)ding birthday to the Zee-meister-have a wicked day bruv! Wish my 'fro was as well developed at 26.... :zee:
  9. Was a good afternoon cruising with 5 other similar cars.... great guys too! Hey Vince-if you wanna pop over with the family for a spot of sailing-I think I've got a spare room or two??(unsure cos I haven't gotten up to the 3rd floor very often) Would've liked to have seen a few different models(of LEXUS I mean),but as the club progresses so will our organisation skills for the events, and with it-attendance!!! regards, Gav(please sir-do I qualify for my 'fro yet?) :zee:

  11. Thanks for the thoughts-I currently have a Nokia 7650 and was considering the change, but I don't think I'd ever use all the bells and whistles!! B)
  12. I'm quite pleased with the trip home from work.... myself(105kgs) 2 bags of records AND a large sub box, and I'm mananging to pull 7.11 sec for 0-100 kph, pretty good for an auto! Reckon if I lose some of the weight(sub box etc-not me!) I'll crack into high 6's? The techs at ST high-tech have calibrated my RSM correctly,so I assume it's pretty accurate. Now-to go faster.....
  13. YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS....IT BEGINS!!!! B)
  14. doh! my bad.... obviously not reading things proper.
  15. Sorry monster,I have to differ slightly-the one I got differs HEAPS from the factory one... and it's yellow! 0-100 time has dropped slightly also-same road, same time of day, same conditions. Take a look see at a Pic of trust filter for 1G-FE Lemme know your thoughts?I'm unsure what comes factory in th UK,but on my Altezza its a crummy,non-breathing,paper item. Regards, Gav B)
  16. Let the games begin..... NZ VS UK-this could be better than the rugby!! B)
  17. My car runs the 1g-fe engine, and we just sourced a Trust washable air element for around 140 NZ $ (with freight),they are indeed available via Hong Kong....
  18. 148 db(best reading), but not really built for SPL! System as per my signature.... B)
  19. I think mines comin along? Gav's system 1 There's a few further piccies either side of this one in the gallery also. Am looking at changing a few components at the moment-getting the bug again......
  20. Wonder if it works for us in the southern hemisphere-or if it's like when you flush....... well waddaya know!!
  21. Definately check the alternator output side of things! You've done things right by using caps to cater for any transient bass drops which could cause voltage loss. The other thing to mention is battery age, type etc?? If for some reason the battery is not retaining charge properly it could be that your alternator is actually trying to power not just the car's electrics, but is attempting to feed the sound system also! Chances are it's A battery shortcoming. Perhaps look at upgrading to a larger capacity battery -if the alternator IS charging at its correct rate this should be more than adequate for powering a system of this size AND feed the vehicle's electrical needs. I'm no expert, but thats where I'd start! Hope its sorted soon... Regards, Gav B)
  22. Once details are under way(dates, approx costings on attractions etc) I'd be keen-pending pricing for me to get there from waaaaaaayyy down these parts. NZ contingent in full effect! B)
  23. DOH! I can't believe the sun's got at least a good couple of MPH speed advantage over my 'Tezza!! Time for the NOS!! ;)
  24. oh.......GO ON!!!! We won't tell-honest!
