  1. Only car i have ever seen wheelie was a little 4x4 suzuki the guy basically floored the throttle then dumped the clutch, prob did not do the car a lot of good but looked impressive. Regards Russell.
  2. Plus teh factory fit does not leave circular marks on the windscreen and is very hard to break the window and steal. Regards Russell.
  3. Once or twice a week i love to turn the trc off and push the power button, mine does spin the wheels easy and is great fun to drive like this. Regards Russell.
  4. My last is200 was a cat d and i did not even know until i came to sell it and the buyer did a check it came back as stolen recovered, he knocked me down about £200 for that, so something i now check for and would avoid because you will be knocked down when you come to sell. Regards Russell.
  5. You can have my car for 5K complete with 12K worth of Lexus sat nav all fully working. Regards Russell.
  6. Only time i see oil leaking out from many parts of the engine is when the rings had gone, letting compression past. Would suggest a comprssion test. Regards Russell.
  7. When my Yreg was on Autotrader at that cost all i got was people phoneing up and offering cash deals around the 2 grand mark, did not have one serious caller and so no views. Mine went in the end for £1850.00 and i think you will struggle to get much over 2K Unfortunatly it is a buyers market still at the moment but hope you can prove me wrong. Regards Russell.
  8. 989163 2 years and bearly a tenth of the way there, could take some time...
  9. I owend 2 IS200 before getting a IS300 different car altogether, in some ways feels slower when just normal driving as engine does not stress but check speedo and get a shock how fast you could be going. First time you start it up in the dark and the hid headlights auto level you will know they are way in front of the 200. is300 are great cars that always bring a smile to your face, spend the money and enjoy the driving. Regards Russell.
  10. Would want it to be lower mileage and immaculate for th0at money, sold mine 2 months ago silver y reg 100k miles tidy car £1800.00 No cam belt change but full service history and a couple of marks i the bodywork. Buyers market at the moment not sellers. Russell.
  11. The design would look nice on your car but the fact they are chrome means that they need to go on a black or dark colour car in my opinion. Regards Russell.
  12. I did very simaler a couple of weeks ago went to see an auntie in Oulton (near Great Yarmouth) crusied first bit A14 at 85 then came the lesser roads did not hold back and overtook regually. Total journey was 215 and gauge was only 1/3 gone drove around for rest of week doing silly little journeys of no more than 20 miles and still got 385 before the light came on best bit mine is the 300 Regards Russell.
  13. Hi I am in Hertfordshire also so may see you around sometime, mine is a granite gray is in standared trim. Regards Russell.
  14. I have no plans to start until i have some good instructions so weekend is fine. Thanks very much for the help. Regards Russell.
  15. I have bought myself a set of front and rear parking sensors for my is300 and was wondering how easy it is to remove the bumpers and does any body have any instructions or pictures thye could post up to help me. Many thanks Russell.
  16. It would not nesacerally put me off buying it completely however if there was a simaler one that have never been charged i would prefer that one. My biggest concern after the possible extra stress the engine has seen would be marks inside the car from gauges etc that tend to get fitted. In my opinion it would be more diffecult to sell and the buyer would want to use this as a lever to knock the price. Regards Russell.
  17. If you meen you have a later dvd then it goes in the boot, lift the carpet/toolholder and you should see a silver box with wires going to it on the drivers side. I have unfotunatly never worked out how to eject the disc. Regards Russell.
  18. 305 is my best but i plan to beat that with a run down to cornwall at the end of june. On that same trip last time my 200 did over 400 on a tank. Regards Russell.
  19. I have just changed from IS200 SE to IS 300 Navigator and would highly recomend it, both mine where auto as that is all I drive but the 300 auto box is streets ahead of the 200 auto box firstly as stated it has the paddle shift on the wheel to control 2-5 (not 1st) and secondly it is 5 speed not 4 speed like the 200 auto box. It feels initially slower to drive then you look at the speedo and relise how deceptive and smooth the power delivery is, I belive they make about the same power as a supercharged 200 but at 3000 not 5000 rpm. The thing i still love best on my 300 is when i start it up at night and the super brite super white HID headlights scan up and down to find the correct level, you will hate normal headlights after seeing these. To be fair not alot else is really in your face different but my 200 used to have the front end noises when braking slowly etc i have none of this on the 300 and have not seen much mention of it on here by 300 owners. The other thing where 300 will beat 200 is in the snow, when i bought mine there was snow on the ground and the 300 is much more able to keep going in a stright line i belive this is the low down torque and the limited slip diff keeping both rear wheels turning instaed of just the 1 as on the 200. My advice is take you time and if you are unsure walk away and wait for the next one as they do come along fairly regular but you need to be quick, i used to check autotrader every morning and through the day and at the time of me buying there was always about 30 on there. Change you will not regret it i for 1 have never looked back. Regards Russell.

    Wanted Is300

At the moment it really is a buyers market, so would not hurt to go and look at any you like then make them an offer, I have just been through the upgrade process and had a tuff time selling my 200. Advertised Autotrader for £2500.00 and every one phoned and offered around the £2000.00 mark, in the end sold on ebay first time barely made £2000.00 and reserve was £2200.00 second time rmoved reserve and it made £1950.00 and when the guy came to collect he moaned at things like scratches that i had not photographed close up and wanted my eprsonal plate as in the pictures, anyway he walked a way with my 200 for just £1800.00 originally i did not want to go below £2300.00 As i say people have prices on there cars that they want for them but in reality they are only worth what they can get for them and at the moment everybody wants a bargain, go make some offers and leave yor number with them, you just might bag a bargain. Regards Russell.
