apologies. should read- seller needs to be VAT registered to charge VAT. Seller also needs to put the VAT number on any invoice that you charge VAT on. You normally get asked about VAT receipts in case you need to claim VAT back

back from 2.5 weeks in S Africa. had an awesome time. did a 4 day walking trail in rhino country that included tracking rhino on foot. got charged by a bull elephant. it was amazing. if anyone is interested in this give me a shout.

this was on breakfast this morning. mike rutherford correctly said that insurers wont bring in this sort of thing if it wasnt going to make them more money. another good point raised was - would your insurance for a motorway trip become invalidated if you drove over the limit?

Lexus Bromley provide courtesy cars with a 1000 pound excess. Of you can get it put on your own insurance. I have always had IS200's from them, so never had to pay the insurance compnay a penny.

I am off to south africa next week and was looking at buying a Canon (or equivalent) 75-300/90-300/100-300 zoom lens, preferably with the USM to use with my EOS 300V camera for wildlife photography. Does anyone here have any experience of those lenses? I have a Canon EF 80-200 f4-5.6 lens. The clarity is very good and I am slightly unsure if I want to spend loads for a lens that goes to 300mm. Any chance anyone here has kit that they want to flog?

I've had nightmares with Sony laptops in the past. Customer service sucks. Best place to buy Sony laptops happens to be ebay. Sony has an online store selling refurbs. Sell quite cheap, but always makes me wonder how they happen to have hundreds in stock. Whats a good place to look for Toshiba laptops?

I am looking for one as well. Done some research and narrowed it down to a DellInspiron 8600 or 510m. Basically, if you are after mobility, you want max battery power and low weight and thats where the 2 models above come in. A Centrino processor will be useful If you are after a desktop replacement and the laptop isnt going to be moved around much, you could get one of the other dells offered with larger chassis' and Intel Pentium M processors. Battery life will be limited though.

you mean the front left tyre goes onto the right rear rim and the right rear on the front left rim and these tyres have to be swapped over for the right diretional rotation. this isnt something i can do myself and will require re-balancing as well.. how much does this cost and is it worth the effort?

the AC is linked to a thermostat. if you have your ac set on a colder setting or not in recirculate, its going to be running more often causing a higher fuel consumption. in case case the lexus is meant to be a luxury car and if someone cant afford the 1-2 mpg hit, buy a daewoo with a 800 cc 3 pot engine -
zee - what does swapping tyres around mean? left front with right front? or left front with left rear and right front with right rear? i'd take it to the garage if they knew their head from their ****s.

the left and right holes on my 3-hole washer jets on the left side of the car are blocked. whats the best way to clear them? annoying rattle from the gear lever while in third gear. does not happen in any other gear and doesnt go away when i attempt to hold the gear stick in an attempt to damp the vibes. any solutions? cars done about 8k miles now and during the 1 yr service at 6.5k, the front were at 4,5,6 mm on the outside, middle, inside (could be the other way round). was that normal wear rate? what can I do to ensure that I dont end up with feathered tyres prematurely.

so let me get this straight. i can use my 3630? i'll need a satnav receiver? and i'll need some software to locate myself on the map and figure out directions? does navman make the receivers and tom tom the software?

i wanted to get a Sat Nav System. I have a Handspring Treo 600 and a Compaq 3630 and I was wondering if any of you guys have used software that works on these PDA's. Alternatively what else should I get?
