that is a good question. I have my IS200 for a year now. Am I happy? Well.... there is one thing I hate and it is fuel consumption. or maybe its just my toughts. my first car was '92 corolla 1.8 N/A diesel using ~5~6 l/100km... my lex drinks around 10 litres per 100km, so I would not say it is much, but I still can't get used to it since I filled my rolla with 40 litres of diesel every 600~700km and my lex needs 70 litres for the same distance. apart from that, since I am not driving my car like I have stole it, 155hp is enough for me, but I am starting to look at some power upgrades. I think IS 200/300 is one of the best looking cars, comfortable, well made, chicks like it.... and since I am 22 years old I wanted a car I can service myself. In my country you are a real 'player' if u have a Merc or Bimer, stupid people buy these brands and drive like complete retards and anyone who sees a merc or bimer on street are extra careful and even scared of them. I even got my face hit and nose broken with a knuckle trough my cars window from a SL500 driver without any reason. But those are two car makers I hate and since I tought it was a time for a RWD car, this was my choice. well, maybe I forgot something, but long story short - great car :)

I am thinking of doing the same a long time. I have figured out pretty much everything. Could bypass buterfly be replaced with BOW? I think the hardest part could be mount. the pulleys must be perfeclty aligned and there must be a tensioner for the belt. plumbing should be easy. charger itself I am thinking could be from mercedes clk 230 or c230 or from other compressor merc, couse they use eaton m62 - same as tte kit.

2 ohm resistors is what u need. simply connect them and thats all. or.... you can rewire and put em under your seat and in case if they set off you'll be sky high

if your car is shaking while braking, you have a sticking caliper. also check if your brake pads wear is even. you need to bleed the brakes. people with 400hp upgrades dont upgrade their brakes because they are powerful enough.

on highway I have also had 38mpg. few tips are: be gentle with throttle if you have manual gearbox, use gears to slow down and dont let engine to idle in netural while coasting see as far forward as possible to prevent hard stops. if you see a red traffic light, let go accelerator, if you see someone far ahead slowing down, let go your right foot. owerall i get ~28mpg on each tank best i have made on one tank is 890km = 553 miles from a full tank to empty stop.

This rally is the most fun event in whole year :D Of corse depends on your company, people you are with and drinks you use :) but overall, the whole event is superb. no one will stop you from shaking hands with Loeb or Latvala or anyone else, finns are very kind and friendly. recomend in every way

Hi! my old chrome gear knob was pretty bad looking and in WRC Neste Rally Finland i found a good replacemet. it is a bit bigger than oem, made of steel and is heavy and feels very nice in hand. installing was easy and knob is 100% universal price - 15 euros i think it is a good bang for the buck :D

auto and manual have different ECU`s. Whitch parts did he swap? engine, gearbox and ECU? engine only, or engine and ECU? the thing is, if he is using new engine WITH manual gearbox. myb ECU cannot understand why car is in PARK and still moving. hope you get the idea.

could be throttle position sensor, accelerator position sensor, throttle motor etc

hi guys! I just blacked out my headlights and now want to do the rears, but there is one thing I dont understand... WHY you cut open taillights? why cant just heat em up in oven and take apart as headlights? are they sealed different? different glue is used? i dont think cutting is going to look clean enough :(

well... you boost engine with turbo at 0.3 bar, drive around, get used to it and matter of time you want more power... swap turbo, remap, bigger injectors etc... or you get a supercharger. drive around, get used to it and matter of time you want more power... in the end you end up with turbo anyway :P is black box the same as 'resistor box'? Supercharger kits come with it included? ok, sorry for being dumb, but I am a newb in boosting and engine electronics. found that FCD can be made at home for 10$ of parts. how cool is that..

can't turbo run without remap? if it is making 0.3bar like the SC... someone said turbo needs remap and SC doesn't.

top left is oil level light. mine flashed once going up hill and I had about 1/3 of level on dip stick. added half litre and its ok. so- check oil level
