  1. I was thinking the same. diesels imo are much nicer than petrol ones. the torque and fuel economy are two major reasons. and black smoke is cool :D but I have no idea what diesel would fit :(
  2. I think it was ~10l in my IS200 I know I can do 60 miles city/hwy driving with the light on.
  3. try resseting ecu. CEL should go off if there is nothing wrong
  4. sounds like air is traped in your system. maybe try to stop on a hill with your front up, or jack the front up as high as you can. then fill your coolant, rev the engine, fill again, 'pump' radiator hoses, fill again, slowly squeeze the top radiator hose and youll see bubbles coming out, fill again and hope it works :)
  5. you need headlight stickers because your headligts are RHD. you will blind everyone
  6. is yours auto or manual? I have -20 degrees outside a week now. I have a manual and it shifts really hard and clunky when cold.
  7. in hid systems, ballast is the one that matters is it 35 or 55w. bulbs are mostlty the same. If you have 55w ballasts DONT run them with cheap chineese bulbs, because they run with super high temperature and UV radiation and they will mess up your reflector (like mine did) 55w is ok to use only with oem bulbs (osram, philips...) they can hold the power. go for 35w even better - do a retrofit ;)
  8. Hi! It is not your control unit that is failing. it is air mode servo. they tend to make ticking whining noises till they go out completly. 98% sure that air mode servo is what you need. dont know part nr, but do a search.
  9. they are not rubber bushes, they are like ball joints. mine are gone too but i have not changed them yet. you can buy a pair of theese and press them in http://cgi.ebay.com/REAR-STUB-AXEL-BUSH-IS200-ALTEZZA-/110647760368?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19c31ed5f0#ht_663wt_905 or there is an option with vauxhall bushes that need to be skimmed down a bit.
  10. thats one hell of a job. good work! its a shame AC needs to be discharged :(
  11. nice! did you flushed it? or replaced?
  12. Heater matrix needs to be flushed. This is so nice. I had the same problem a year and a half ago, and no one knew whats wrong. No one. Now a few new owners monthly are asking the same question why is my drivers side hot and passanger side cold.
  13. red circeled gives you problems. mine are gone too. the problem is - dealer dont sell them and the solution is - press in some opel/vauxhall vectra bushes that need to bee skimmed trimmed down a bit I am thinking of doing this soon.
  14. Thanks! Wiring is all stock. I think refitting the original bulbs wont help, or I just wont see do they blink or not. the 'off' period is so short, (like a camera flash) it won't be noticeable with halogen bilbs, because they just won't turn off that fast.
  15. I dunno if this is related, but I installed HID's month ago and there is some strange thing. when I go into turn with turn signal on, when I straighten the steering wheel and turn signal stalk turns off, headligts blink. they are off very very short moment, but with hids it is very noticeable. happened some 5 times and only with turn signals turning off. over bumps, potholes, railway crossings they have never blinked, so bad connection is quite impossible. myb it is the stalk itself?
  16. What do you mean " dodgy gearbox" ? Is this a common problem? My gearbox is not the smoothest and quietest, but can it be so bad, its worth to change?

  18. mine overflow tank leaks also, but slowly you need to replace whole fan shroud http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_2000_LEXUS_IS200~300_GXE10L-AEFVKW_1603.html I would try to glue it back with some epoxy stuff
  19. I have Borbet CA 16'' on mine, and there is about 1-2mm gap between brake and balancing weights.
