  3. Thanks, thought as much. Traced it..... poxy amp by-pass wiring loom that i bought off Ebay, was causing the drain.(so it was the audio ggrrr) Either its faulty or wrong? i thought there were only 2?! hey ho i will buy another and try that!
  4. Got a 2000 IS200, having a battery drain problem. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: If i leave it standing the battery goes as flat as a pancake over a couple of days Trying to find out where the drain is from (have established its not the audio) Noticed the other night that the clock light is constantly on, even when i turn the ignition off, is this right?? i would of thought it would be on a switchable live???
  5. i find the MPG is best when i just clean the car and stare at it for a few hours.... :winky: :winky:

    Battery

Possibly the by-pass cable, i had a similar problem after fitting a new unit the battery drained within a couple of days, i sussed it by disconnecting the permanent live wires from the connector and installing another from a live wire from the fuse box, has worked now for a couple of weeks! try disconnecting the cable and see if it drains the battery
  8. Lexus still do a paint stick for Graphite sky colour code 1C6 Part number PZ448-W1C61-09 around £8.00 inc vat Its the same colour as mine and i bought one recently, pity i couldnt get it through Toyota though Lexus/Toyota put either a small pot or a paint "sticker" with every new vehicle, i think they still do but its very hit n miss!
  9. Hi I have a 2000 IS and it DOES NOT have isofix, im sure i read somewhere it was 2001 onwards If it does have isofix it should have a little woven label sown into the rear seat, or you could stick your fingers in the gap between the rear seat cushion and the backrest, if its isofix you will feel two metal hooks on each side.
  10. Hello and welcome, glad you seen the light :winky: Im sure with a lot of browsing on this forum you will get some blinding ideas/mods for you new car, know i did and i still cant stop!

  12. i had the same recently. I investigated further and found there was only 2 wires (a power and an earth) connected to my audio unit wiring, which had 5 wires... so it had a live wire and a earth but no switchable live, ie powers on when ignition is on. So i wired in another switchable live wire from one of the heated seats and it worked a treat!!
  13. IS200 Spec sheet that i saved from here but the original link no longer works.. its a PDF file that was scanned Spec Sheet
  14. Hi monscter and welcome 04AAA, the update disc if anything like Toyota "supposedly" come out every November, though usually we have to wait a few weeks after the due date

  17. Hi John! And there i was thinking you would of learnt from all your MR2 experience! :duh: :duh: i take it im in for a new flurry of emails at work then ;) Si
  18. Hi matey Having just fitted a double din unit myself, i found these links helpful Couple of links... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=1161& http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=46907 And for removal of the dash tray.... http://www.lexusowne...?showtopic=2160 I was going to get the Pioneer, but my supplier (i work in the car trade) couldnt get me it, so i just went for a JVC unit. You need a AMP-bypass cable and the ebay link you suggested is fine The worst part of the job is disconnecting the AMP lead as its tighter than a nuns &&*& And a facia. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=59076&st=0&p=654755&hl=autoleads&fromsearch=1entry654755 I went for a genuine Toyota one and "modded" the switches to fit snuggly. I found the best thing to do was take your time and have a "dry run" before you rip the dash out etc etc But if you get any problems (like i did) all you need to do i ask and your get some major help (like i did lol)
  19. i wouldnt worry NMac if you get stuck just look on here, a bloody gold mine of helpful information and some bloody great peeps too! :winky:
