  1. Mentioned this about a year ago now, but trying to sign up for GOLD again, but it wont let me past the first stage - it keeps on saying The following errors occured: Bad input Username is invalid. Password is invalid. Please assist......
  2. Sorry, bit disappointed The whole point of the current IS is that it had distinct features from every other car The individual chronograph speedo, the bonnet bulge, the unique rear lights, those flared front arches with the distinct lines which led your eyes to the rear of the car... This, so far, has nothing.... If I wanted a Mazda 6/Hyundai Coupe/BMW 3 series, thats what I would buy.
  3. Another new member to the fast growing 300 Club In the land of the 200, the 300 man is King..... Keep the Mods real, don't go bling.......
  4. Listen, my car gets polished about once a week as it is, besides I have just bought the car, and well you know how it is, keen to keep it looking right. And it will give the neighbours something to grump about......... (THERE HE IS AGAIN, CLEANIN HIS CAR, HE ONLY DID IT YESTERDAY, BLAH BLAH.....)
  5. 8 hours??? The neighbours think I am mad enough cleaning the alloy wheels every night. Will the NXT stuff work just as well?
  6. I have read over some of the threads for the use of clay including Matts handy Tips. Just to confirm- Wash the car - then clay - wash the car - then what? Do I go straight to waxing - was going to buy Meguiars NXT Will this give best results??

    Colour

I think Strathcarron looks a shade brighter
  8. Is there any difference at all between Strathcarron Blue (nice) and Royal Sapphire?
  9. VW Customer Services Tel number is 0800711811
  10. What about us Scots? Manchester too far to travel - make it Edinburgh Besty......
  11. The fact it is GPS based makes no difference - the GPS side of things only tells you of your location in relation to fixed sites. The radar detection part of the device will be illegal. You will probably find that it will be an offence to USE once of these devices and not POSSESS one and it will be up to the prosecution to prove that the device was ON at the time of use. I think that should make sense.
  12. Yep, yer right I am..... Oh and so far I havent noticed much difference in mpg compared with the IS200
  13. I have traded in the IS200 and eventually went for the IS300 Strathcarron Blue with the Styling Kit and 18" wheels. I bought the car from Lexus Edinburgh and so far I am delighted with it. It is such a great improvement on the 200, it feels more stable, the handling is great and the performance more than suits my needs. I know its not everyones taste, but the auto box, is fantastic. The engine and the gearbox are supersmooth. Everyone who has seen the car is very impressed, BMW/Merc/WRX owners alike. But then again you cant fail to be..... With regards Lexus Edinburgh, I have been very impressed with their service. Any issues are dealt with there and then without fuss or argument. Their handover service was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase another Lexus.
  14. Dont bother They are soon to become illegal under new legislation
  15. Tried everywhere for clear/silver indicator bulbs for front indicators for IS - they have a different connection style to the rear bulbs Any suggestions?
  16. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase those bl;ue reverse lamps some folks have Thanks
  17. The IS has a CAT1 transponder software lock immobilser and alarm - it is the best in its class and I have not come across any reports of it being overcome at the roadside
  18. I shall further enhance your knowledge whether you need to know or not Lexus IS200 are fitted standard with a Thathcam Category 1 Combined alarm and immobiliser It has full perimetric and volumetric detection with a battery back up. It has a microwave alarm sensor and anitgrab/scan remote control which sets the alarm and immobiliser. Removing the key only, sets the transponder immobiliser. A Category 2 immobiliser does not have an alarm. I think that about covers it........
  19. Besty, remind me what wheels those are you have got
  20. OK, so having read all of the above I am no further forward Just bought two new tyres fo0r the front, cause the inside endge of both were bald. Got the tracking checked and told it was only out a degree or so, whatever that means. Can anyone provide a solution to this - what do I need to get done Ian at Lexus Edinburgh, can you help??
  21. This is not good news - I would like the IS300 in red, but no cash just now. However if I see it at Edinburgh, things might go all wrong!!!!1 (Will be interesting to see what mark up it goes for, Ian!!)
  22. I'll pop through too. Sorry, Ian only lets me drive the SC430 - RX300 next time?? Besty - those new wheels you been getting - get them cheap did you??
  23. I saw a small mod on someones car called 'blue reverse lights' What the hell are they?? No obvious replies please.........
  24. Go for the TTE spoiler - not as big as the Sport one - I did, cost £90 unpainted from Lexus and looks subtley good. And it leaves you out the ' I bought an SE but really wanted a Sport' category I am surprised no one has said this to you already.......
